I'm sending you the ticket right now Tony, do as follow:
Get the ticket from your giftes to the truck, don't use the ticket yet, leave the game and copy your save game data to a USB Pen, now you can use the ticket, if you don't get the TT-R leave the game copy the save game data from your pen to the PS3 HDD, don't need to delete the save from the PS3 just overwrite it... do this as many as necessary till you get the TT-R. Good luck

You don't need that much of an upload speed, just a low ping to every client. Why don't you guys test out a non-fixed host solution tonight? I believe we did that once or twice in Goruk's lobby in the previous seasons.

PP penalties for tonight:
Goruk77: 597
A-Brick: 598
Toyotsupra: 599

Have a good, clean and fair race tonight guys!

(I like to see the replay! And a tip for the one who will check the replay: write down the times directly after finishing because it's a pain to gather this from the replay)

i'll try to post them immediately after the race

This đź‘Ť each try to open the ticket takes around 1,5 mins to me.

soooooooow... what happened here guys? I'm receiving some sad stories...

I'm dropping out of this series, due too lack of organisation good luck with keeping this DTM Series running. Sorry BMW Team

I'm not very happy about you saying this is down to a lack of organisation as I spent a good 2 hours of my day along with the help of goruk to make sure everything was ready and everyone was in the room at 8:30pm.

The reason I personally was unhappy was because we had to stop the race for someone who was not only late but has serious internet connection problems. JT may be running the series but I don't think it's fair for 12 of the DTM drivers to have to stop a race which was already running late to deal with JT's problems.

You may think I'm over reacting but this is how feel, I also feel it will be best for me to leave as I'm no longer enjoying my racing in DTM series this decision is not based on the events on tonight alone. I wish DTM and everyone involved in the series all the best.

Regards

Green

Me too I'm afraid to say I was never really a fan of the tire rules in this league I enjoyed season 3 tho and I like to hope JT all the best in the future it was good racing with you man and all of the drivers in the future.

I got into the room at 8.50pm. I had no idea until now that u had started the race. i planned to start frpm the back as i was late for qualifying. Then i got kicked by goruk by mistake so i couldnt get back into the room.
Lack of organisation? No comment.

I miss one race and this happens! gutted :(

I'm pretty sure symp is thinking the same thing abrick. Let me just say DTM has had it's problems and the main reason it has come to this is no one seems to talk about them (including myself).

I have been involed since DTM2 there has been pretty much no breaks between series, I'm fed up I have drove these car too much. I want something different thats it, I really like driving with you guys and appreciate all the work everyone puts in to make the races happen. TBH I should of said something at the start of the season anyway I don't mind helping you guys out with the series but I will no longer be racing.

Yeah, gutted indeed! đź‘Ž :grumpy:

I was waiting for some more info posted here about what exactly happened yesterday but what I understand now is that the race started early before 21:00 GMT and then was stopped because JT (unsuccessfully) tried to join. Then people started to leave (why?) and the race had to be canceled. Is this correct?

About the connection of JT... It is a known fact that his connection isn't the best there is. That's why we decided to use a fixed host to give him (and also others with bad connections) the possibility to still be part of this series. After all, it is HIS series and we have done it this way all the way from DTM1. Agreed, it's not the best setup and we have some lag issues sometimes but we managed to deal with this for 4 whole seasons.

Then today I see (mainly the new) guys saying they're gonna quit the series. I don't know what exactly happened there in Goruk's lobby but we have had this kind of situation every season. Only Green has given an understandable explanation.

So I'm gutted but curious about some more opinions from the veterans about yesterday, the lag in general and the option to have slow connections included in these series. Or anything else that you think is not right...

I believe the future of this series is at stake here! :grumpy:

JT came online about 8:50pm and started trying to get in the room so with qualifing running abit late. Goruk waited for JT before setting the time for Q, So about 9:15pm -9:25pm JT got booted. I thought it was his connection goruk never said he kicked him, about 9:25pm the race starts and goruk says abort. Goruk says we have to make a new room, which I couldn't understand as the room we where in was working fine lag free. By that time it was nearly 10pm and I no longer felt like racing. Thats what happened from my point of view

You guys are really fast judges, you are judging a entire series on one single even, it's easy to say theres a lack of organisation when all you got to do is some practice/tune and on race day, show up and do the race.
You don't imagine the time/commitment JT and Symp put into this, especially when there are kids, family, and jobs to deal with. We are not just a butch of kids that after school have nothing more to deal with.

If you guys think it's easy to be a host in a series like this, well you're wrong, especially when there are people who don't respect the checking procedures, and leave the track to enter setup, after they been checked, don't be able to do a qualifying lap because there're random people getting in the room, and all everyone want is get in the track to do the most number of laps, without waiting for the "QUALI START" sign.

Anyway, as we did't know if JT would race, i've open the room with non-fixed host, quality on hight, everything was fine, room running smoothly with almost no lag, until JT try to get in, he had some troubles to get in, by this time Supra keep going in/out track to setup menu after he had been checked for PP/weight (this was driving me nuts btw), when JT got in to the room there was only 6 or 7 min to quali ends, I was trying to do my qualifying lap when some random guy enter the room, after i've finish the lap (not a good one), I've enter pits without noticing the random guy has already leave the room, i've just went for the last guys on the list and kick him, unfortunately it was JT, this was right in the end of the qualification and race was starting, as JT could not join the room anymore, i've suggest that we change to a new room, then some guys start complaining how late is was (21:20), I understand that some of you guys have conditions that only allow you to race in certains times, but you also have to understand that you are not the only ones racing, and problems may happen now and then and without each others there is no race.

To finalize, if JT and Symp keep the series going I'm up to it đź‘Ť and you guys have my full support.

Ok guys, thanks for the support and thanks for clarifying what exactly happened there in Japan ;)

As far as I'm concerned we just keep going on to the next race (Spa) next Tuesday and reschedule Suzuka somewhere in between or at the end of the season. I see no reason why some (new) impatient guys should ruin this great championship. It's our fifth anniversary for Christ's sake!

I just hope JT is still interested because it is awfully quite from his side :(

Hi

If the league continues to be organized by JT and the Symp, I also continue to participate. What happened is not normal, but it will make one year I participate in this series and would be very painful to see this spectacular tournament end like this...
