Hello guys, i had some fun out there yesterday but i think it was my last race in this awesome Series :guilty: because my boss did change my schedule on thursday from 1 pm to 10 pm GMT. Maybe i can commit to the DTM Series Season 6 again but i'm not sure.

Greetings,
G.Keanie.

we could always program suzuka in as the last race of the season and use another circuit for the ss. some good sugestions above. I want to through suzuka east out there as a posibility. could provide some close racing even if its not the most technically demanding track.

a. Autumn Ring (Votes 1)
b. Laguna Seca (Votes 1)
c. Suzuka East (Votes 0)

For a special stage, I think that Suzuka east it's more suitable.

Sorry for quitting last race, wasn't a good day, after I screw up my setup, on the first stop I didn't change the front tires to softs and I was so mad with myself that I lost all the concentration, from there on was downhill all the way...

^ No problem Goruk. I saw your bad luck in the replay and it's not the first time you do that...changing just the fronts or rears :sly: You should have made two more laps though because you almost reached the 75% limit and would have lost your PP penalty :banghead:

So until now:
a. Autumn Ring (Votes 1)
b. Laguna Seca (Votes 3)
c. Suzuka East (Votes 2)

Come on guys, please put some more votes in (if any left :D)! Don't want to do this on Laguna

(hope to post the results later tonight)

So Laguna Seca it is then. If someone could work out lap times that would be great.

Round 1: 20mins
Round 2: 15mins
Final Round: 10mins

if 8 or less.
Round 1: 30mins
Final Round: 20mins

Result Race 3 - Circuit de Spa Francorchamps

And here are the (preliminary) results. 'Preliminary' because as we speak (I think ;) ) JT is reviewing the replay to check if any corner cutting have been taken place.

Congratulations goes to IMMORTALPILOT for winning this race. Boy he's fast! I wonder if someone can stop him from taking the fifth championship to Germany. But he's making very clear were that D in DTM stands for :D

Track entrance procedure
Although there were some rule violations regarding the track entrance procedure it is decided that because of the short notice of the new rules there won't be given any penalties. The drivers involved also passed the post-race check procedure. However, for the next races (the SS excluded) there will be!

Once again to explain the importance of why it isn't allowed to leave the track or enter the setup or option menu after the track entrance procedure is started, here is why:
1) People can change there setup after the PP and weight check has been performed and violate the regulations this way;
2) Because people with a PP penalty have to enter the track first they are giving away their tyre compound information. It is therefore not fair if other drivers can still change their compound and knowing on what compound their competitors are.

Tyre irregularity
I don't know if Dany-CL was thinking he started on meds or still hasn't bought them but he did not change to another compounds in his 1st pit stop in lap 8. Unfortunately, because of that he did not use all compounds in the race and has to be disqualified.

Goruk already explained his situation himself. Too bad he didn't made one more lap so he could have scored some points and lost his PP penalties.

can i jump into the TT-R team??? Cant see any point of being alone and filling another team would be good ?

I should be able to work out laps later tonight. had a busy day (interview at thorpe park!) and have a 3 hour drive with a full car and 2 kids in the back. See you tomorrow (if i make it...)

I don't understand my disqualification. I started the race with hard tyres. Then, on lap 9 I switched to softs, and my last stint was with mediums, so I used all three compounds.

@Dany_CL: maybe somebody else can check this out to be sure but in my replay you started on Softs, made a pit stop at the end of lap 8, stayed on Softs, and in lap 18 switched to Meds.

@tony kart: Yes only one track, Laguna Seca. Depending on the turnout there will be 2 or 3 rounds. The fastest half will progress to the next round. Based on the lap time Pipi submitted I would say:

If more than 8 show up:
- Round 1: 20mins / 15 laps / Racing Softs tyres
- Round 2 (best 8): 15mins / 11 laps / Racing Medium tyres
- Final Round (best 4): 10mins / 7 laps / Racing Hard tyres

if 8 or less (Racing Soft tyres round skipped):
- Round 1: 30mins / 20 laps / Racing Meds
- Final Round (best 4): 20mins / 15 laps / Racing Hards

Rules & Regs for Special Stage (see chapter 10 of the rules for more info)
- Damage: light (correct me if I'm wrong on this!)
- No PP penalties (all cars 600 PP and minimum weight 1120 kg)
- No mandatory pit stops
- qualifying for round 1 as normal
- reverse grid for round 2 and 3 (without the ones who didn't make it)
- setup change in between rounds is allowed
- 5 minutes pause between each round

@JT: didn't know you can can fit all of that into a DTM A4 :D

I check this and in my replay, Dany_CL start with soft tire but the times are the Hard tires 2:19 , maybe one more prob of Gt5 online lol 👍

Thanks for checking Pipi but I think I know what has happened here. There's a known glitch in GT that Goruk and I tested before we started with the tyre rules in this series. Hmmmm...wonder how you can qualify so high on hards....

(still under investigation)

^ yes, once you enter the track with the tyres you have for qualifying you cant change them in the pits. if you do then the replay will show the tyre you entered the track on, not the tyre you changed to.

Did some study of the lap times and came to the following facts:
- Dany_CL entered the track for qualification on Racing Soft tyres (I always write them down); the replay shows Softs also
- he qualified 4th, leaving the 'Softs' in front of him and Goruk on Meds right behind him
- Dany's fastest lap in the first stint of the race was 2:19.786 (lap 3)
- Goruk's lap times on Meds were about 2:15.xxx
- Pipi, Godoias, A-Brick, all starting on Hards, did a faster lap during the race than Dany but qualified behind him

So when looking at these facts and knowing about the glitch JT noted, I can conclude nothing else than that Dany changed to Hard tyres in the pits during qualification after setting his lap on Softs. This is not allowed!

However, I searched the rules for this and cannot find the specific rule anymore describing this

So JT.....what are we going to do with this one? :grumpy:

EDIT:

found this rule:
4.10.1 - No tyre changes are allowed once qualification has started.

Sorry Dany but you cant qualify on softs and gain the advantage of using softs for the middle sector. I also normally write everyones qualifying tyres down so this sort of thing can be worked out.
