A good way to get some Dubstep on your iPod is to just subscribe to UKF Dubstep on Youtube and you should experience a good range of different artists. Some suck though, just saying.

This 👍

You could always just look through this thread and listen to what been posted... lol

I found some :eek:really:eek: awesome songs in this thread 👍 (Some have become my alltime fav's).
So I recommend everyone go through the pages, it's well worth it! :dopey:

I was persuaded to buy some tickets for Global Gathering. I had never really taken an interest in dubstep before, so my mate burned some CDs for me. And I have to say i'm really getting into it.

Does this class as dubstep? I know it all depends on the BPM but i've heard of so many different genres, jugstep, ghost step, bro step....sister step, mum step. So I never have a clue what genre anything belongs in anymore!!

Whatever it is it's awesome, bought it as soon as I heard it.

Personally I never dwelve into what kind of subcategory of dubstep a song is. I class them in these 2 categories:
- oldschool (e.g. Digital Mystikz - Haunted)
- newschool (Cyberoptix - Geisha)

The song you posted is Drum & Bass. You reckognize a dubstep song if there's a wub

I wouldn't ever worry about any sub-genres. Most of them are terms coined to further separate the different takes on dubstep and promote specific formulas that are beginning to make this genre stale. Look to Drum and Bass as an example of this, way back there was much more creativity in the scene, different paths being taken by different producers but as more and more people accepted sub-genres and their associated stereotypes the scene as a whole stagnated.

Just listen to it. Honestly don't get why people feel the need to have sub genres for everything.

Thought you hated dubstep Pagey ;) ?

I think it was the guys driving round in their done up Nissan micras and vauxhall corsas with dubstep pounding out the windows that did it for me. That and ETID playing it over the Mic. But I am happy to say I have seen the errors of my ways Tyrell
