Plato, Wrathall, Smith, Neate, all off. After 2 laps. And plato can't whinge, this one a 100% racing incident.

Certainly a chaotic start to the race haha! My missus will be delighted that Plato's out of the race.

I'm hoping Jackson and Jordan come out on top somewhere this weekend

Wow, Plato is really pee'd off over Arron Smith! He clearly doesn't like the taste of his own medicine!! If a car is so clearly faster, then why didn't Plato just do the sensible thing, and let him past? I know Plato is out to win, but he could easily use his knowledge and skill to his advantage to slip past later on in the race.

The way he went into the corner when he spun was daft, he didnt even bother turning the wheel. He deserved to be put out

Plato is whinging, how unfair the 2 seperate spec cars are and how after being hit for the whole opening lap the Aron Smith should lose his racing licence.

EDIT: Did anyone else see him pushing his team member away during the interview, lol.

Despite the fact it was the BMW up the inside. Ahem, I call karma Jason after you bumping Shedden at Donington this year.

Great pics Holden, those photos of Lea Wood, Newsham and Welch are fantastic! 👍

That was his father as well.

As for Plato, eh, I felt that he had good reason to moan about that one. Aron Smith was clearly ramming the hell out of him and Aron really didn't need to turn like he did into him.
But I definitely don't really feel sorry for Plato.

Absolutely, in fact I think Aron did very well to hold on to 3rd for so long

The Mini racing was great, from what I caught of it

Amazing, the sight of a Mini Cooper holding off Porsche 911s, Marcos GTs, Ford Capris, Cortinas, Escorts, Alfa Romeos...so awesome. 👍
Sideways Triumph TR8s are great too!

BTCC really needs to have a classic car support race as a permanent fixture. 👍

Interesting their thoughts on todays driving standards.

Imparticular, the sly dig at Smith and Plato.....

But Smith was right, he had to turn the wheel at some point, and Plato knew it

Hard luck for Mat Jackson, you just know he wanted to finish the race first. Hopefully he's ok, and will kick ass in race 3 from the back of the grid

To say I absolutely DETEST chrome paintwork, there is something strangely attractive about Ben Barkers Chrome Porsche Carrera lol

Sadly thats just waiting to happen sometimes at Knockhill due to the nature of starting uphill.

So Aron Smith got points on his license, and a fine I think? And MG have appealed it, as they don't think it's enough! Utter disgrace!! I hope the Officials turn the tables and give Smiths fine to Plato

I understand the fine, but MG appealing? JOKE.

Plato in pits with apparent turbo issue.

EDIT: Flying BMW's! Honda Lawnmowers!

Plato out is karma!

Shame on Sheddon dropping out, but that was a brilliant save from Smith in the Focus!

Come on Newsham! Bring that Griffin home!

Brilliant drive by Dave Newsham, and Jeff Smith!

I thought there was going to be carnage on the final corner with Smith, Neal, and Jordan lol, very good close finish

I really thought it was building up to something big for about half of the race, it was a nice clean finish though

It's been a day for the underdogs though :D Good car control from Aron Smith

Shocker for Plato, Jordan is only 4 points behind him now

Amazing that Neal is still at the top of the championship, consistency I guess

Missed the porsche race as I was chatting to John cleland :D who had turned up in an original le mans etype and also got the answer to a question I always wanted to asked him :D haven't stopped grinning as he is one of my all time heros.

When he walked by me I asked him to sign my vectra then said bugger I don't have a pen and he said don't worry I'm a typical racing driver I have one

To say I'm jealous would be a huge understatement!
