Nope. I thinking Gran Turismo 6 going be at Tokyo Motor Show or other show, but not Electronic Entertainment Expo.

I'm not counting on it...

If it does, great. If it's for the PS3, even better, my PS3 will be waiting for it. In the mean time I'll be running B-spec in GT5 and grinding for money while playing that other racing game...

GT5 was spectacularly announced on E3 2010 for launch at november 2nd 2010 by Sony Computer Entertainment guys.

It was also the first E3 in the history where one of the GT games was announced for release and where Kazunori was not making an appearance.

GT5 was released in 24th November 2010 after thefinal last-minute delay officially attributed to "production issues".

Connect the dots.

If GT6 is on PS3. Then yes, I think there may be a chance of a mention.

But I doubt it would be anything other than a teaser.

I'm not the best at connecting things, but I agree with Astro-Racer. I never realized this.

I think it'll be more than just a teaser if GT6 is released before E3 2013. Not a full reveal, but not a teaser either.

It's One month and One week until E3 2012 for people that don't know.

I'm betting the only GT6 news we get for the rest of the year will only be from Kaz' twitter, and we all know how that goes.

Its not coming out tomorrow, nor next month.

Let it go.

Fingers crossed, needing a decent racing game for my PS Vita. 👍
Even though I don't have a Vita, I really hope a GT Vita gets released. I'm sure some time in the future I'll get one, and I really want to see what PD's capable of doing with the Vita. Developers agree that it's "infinitely" easier to port games to and make games for the Vita than the PS3. The PSP is the PS3 of handhelds in terms of difficulty for game developers.

Wait it's 2039 already?

I hate it when people say something like, "It's been 6 years already?". But it's funny when people say it how you did.

A bit dissapiinted TBH. I thought a lot more people would be getting there hopes up.

Free roam.
Motor bikes.
Neon
Unlocked paint can.

To name just a few. Think of the possibilty's guys. Get your hopes up. Bet your house on GT6 Xmas.

Bah I can do no more. Lol.

Once again, another pointless thread...What in your right mind would make you think they would say something about GT6 at E3? E3 NEXT YEAR probably.

masterrawad
what's with the pessimistic 'no?'

No evidence to be optimistic about. No news, just another 6 thread, same as usual.

I miss the moratorium on 6 threads. It's gotten out of hand.

This is all based off of cynicality. Everyone is predicting a very late release date based off of gt5, but that is only gt5.

As a long time player of the series, I can assure you this is not based solely on GT5.

I´ll wait and keep my mouth shut...with Sony and PD you never know... Take a look at God of War Ascension...unexpected but cool...and they included multi-player.Coming in 2013.

And one more thing, we are having a couple of games for each PS3 exclusives...that makes me think...2 games per console generation. Possible.

With GT5 we had delays and with GT6 we can expect surprises...or not.

To me, two years is way too short of time for another GT. I hope that's what you mean. GT3 took three years to make even though it released not even two years after GT2. GT3 also had the least features and new content of any other game with the exception of GT1, which took five years. The first two years of the development of GT1 consisted of research and studying for Kaz and his small group of 14 people.

I completely agree with what masterrawad said though. Most people are saying no, because of how long it took for GT5 to be released and them thinking it's slow and lazy work. Couldn't be further from the truth.

GT5 has enough to last me a long while still by the way. I expected GT5 to be what it is now, but with more tracks and online options. Nothing miraculous. PD succeeded in producing a game with longevity. One of the key things going into the development of GT games.

Wasn't 4 pushed back time and time again? I ask, because I only found out about it while working, and only because an employee begged and pleaded to have an extra long break to go and pick up his copy.

I only agreed because he also picked up mine.

Pretty sure it was. I don't know why. The car count could be it.

Something that I bring up sometimes is that GT4 and Tourist Trophy were the only PS2 games that could run in 1080i.

That's another reason.

Pretty sure it was.
So why expect 6 to be different? My prediction has always been between Spring and Xmas '14, and then people are really going to be upset because I expect the PS4 to be announced/released shortly after.

I could understand the many threads if we had any recent news about 6, or its development. As it stands, all that we know is that 6 is in development, and expected to include "a feature meant for 5 but too big for DLC".

Track creator? Livery editor? The long lost YouTube feature? The GPS-based track/game system?

For gods sake, we haven't even started this year's GT Academy yet! Can't we enjoy 5 a little longer, or at least until some indication or news of 6 is officially released.

Amar hasn't said anything about 6, and if he's quiet, I think we should be as well. Then again, everyone has their own opinion and is welcome to voice it. I encourage it. I don't, however, think we need multiple threads for a topic that eventually all boils down to a speculation thread. Baseless speculation, mind you.

Had a Sony exec hinted at an E3 appearance, m'kay. Speculate away. I just feel it's gotten a little out of hand, especially with the new kids just getting XL.

I agree with everything except about GT6 being delayed. With the backlash people had about GT5's delays, there won't be anything like that ever again. With GT4, the internet and people aren't like it is now. Games always have Online in mind now. Times change. Things change. It can't be definitively debated.

I expect GT6 to be released "between Spring and Xmas '14" too.

So they will announce it next year when the next XBOX is announced? Hmm.
Maybe not this E3, but at the Tokyo show instead, whenever that is.

What fail? They sold more than 7 million copies? I guess that's called success. And as long people will be bying their games, they'll do whatever the heck they want.

The fail of missing their production window? Pretty big 🤬 up for Sony's flagship title don't you think?
