This is all based off of cynicality. Everyone is predicting a very late release date based off of gt5, but that is only gt5.
No. It's based on GT5 and GTPSP and GT4 and GT3.

GTPSP was supposed to be a port of GT4 for the handheld, and it was supposed to come out fairly soon in the PSP's life (launch window, most likely) considering it was announced at the same time the system was. 5 years later, PD dumped what was basically some framework and some licence tests that they forgot to design a game around.

GT4 was originally supposed to come out sometime before Christmas of 2003. They delayed it a year and ultimately gave it a release date of 12/3/2004 for Japan and 12/14/2004 for America, and then delayed it again not even a month before the release date (by little under a month for Japan, 2 months for America) and stripped the online mode from it at the last minute.

GT3 was originally supposed to be something along the lines of an enhanced GT2 that would come out on the PS2 launch. Then it got pushed back to the U.S. lauch. Then it got pushed back a few more months, at which point Sony gave up and decided that they wanted GT3 as it ended up being instead. Then Kaz personally held up development of the game to add more cars to the game, then did it again to add a few concept cars (Acura RSX, Nissan 350z concept, Mazda RX-8) from the Detroit Motor Show when the game was originally meant to come out a month prior to that show in Japan.

The only reason GT5 gets most of the attention is because:
  • It had the biggest profile delays and the longest development time.
  • Kaz would not stop talking about how the game was in the can and ready for release over a year before it eventually came out, and that they kept delaying it to make it "perfect."
  • They made an absolutely monster deal about the final, set in stone release date for the game, and then missed it anyway.

But that precedent started long before GT5. You can say what you want about PD's skills, but time management is not one of them; and arguably never was even back in the GT2 days.

I dont think we will See PS4 or GT6 at E3 2012.
If GT6 dont make an apearance @ E3 we will Not See GT6 on PS3. That's a Fact.

And i doubt that Sony will leave the first years in the next cycle to Forza. They can't afford to bring a GT Game as Late as GT5 in the PS3 Cycle. But only Sony knows what they plan.

Exactly, this is the post or one of many that I've been waiting to see from a user like Toronado. It has nothing to do with being cynical, if that is the only argument you have to defend the precious sacred group GT sits on in your mind, then you must have taken this forum to be one sided. Yes most of us enjoy GT, not not all of us worship it and some of us dare to even point out the faults of PD.

No it isn't, its your opinion.

Lol. I doesnt make Sense to Talk with you. Devs develop now Some next Gen Games. The UE4.0 is ready and you really think we will Not See the Next Gen 2013-2015. Do you say the devs develop the Engine and Games for 2020? And make 5 years Holiday or lose their Jobs, because they dont Release the Finished Games?

Like it or Not. The next Gen will be Out in 2013-2015. 90% sure. They have Devkits already and that's Not a rumor. You dont get a Devkits 6-10 years before the product is released.

They can't announce GT6 for PS3 on E3 2013. So they have to announce it this Year. Most likely E3.

Very nice, still doesn't make what you said a fact.

lol what a pointless thread. its obvious we will not see any gt6 info at e3. way too soon. and also gt6 will be ps4 i can almost guarantee it. do you really want them to release info this soon only a year after gt5 was released and not even finished? gt5 has gone backwards and broken promises. i know im not looking forward to gt6 unless they sort all the fiasco out with gt5, which i doubt they will

I can't see PD ditching GT on PS3 just yet - even a massive expansion pack with refinements is possible.

Indeed. But it is realistic and almost a Fact. What you say is totally unrealistic.

There aren't almost facts in life sadly, that is one thing that doesn't have grey area. It is either a fact or not, you don't have the insight (fully) to tell us whether or not it will be on the PS3 or next gen console. I agree I don't see it being on this gen console. However, I don't know that for sure and it thus becomes opinion. What you said is your opinion being pushed as fact which is in violation of the AUP.

Now if you have info that others don't have it'd be nice of you to share with us. Rather you gave us limited evidence that doesn't prove nor disprove your idea. What he said isn't totally unrealistic because WE DONT KNOW.

And considering the amount and back and forth over this that went on in that other topic, a lot of which that you tended to ignore in favor of just repeating yourself, it might be for the best if you don't drag it into this thread as well.

With the way they've been handling GT5 for the past few months, I don't want a new GT. It'll just be the same old crap again.

We shouldn't forget they had a huge earthquake and tsunami and have moved all or some staff and there families to the other side of the country.
How ever long GT6 takes I hope that PD keep supporting GT5 with new content right up until GT6 is nearing completion.

What I hope is GT6 on PS3 ;) I don't expect GT6 on PS4.

Well of course that is just my thinking. I just do not trust PD to innovate enough in short time to justify GT6 on PS3. They have established DLC route which they could use to sell bigger additions to the game. We are now quite deep in the cycle and I think new consoles are very likely to be announced next year or earlier.

Also can not help thinking that GT would be "the game" to justify people to invest in new system.

That's quite possibly the dumbest comment I've ever read.

For The WIN

Man would that make all the fan boys sad :( lol
I pray to The Gaming Gods that this will happen. Kaz needs to do whatever he's happy with though.

My money's on GT4 in GT5's engine being released as a disc based add on. That would make commercial sense. But then, what PD does doesn't always make a lot sense.

PD Releasing GT4 HD would be just admitting that GT5 wasn't as good. Why else would you need it, in a series like GT without a unique story/progression in each game?

GT5 is technically superior, but GT4's content wins hands down. Combine the two for explosive results :)

So why not combine the two in GT6 on PS3? I don't see the logic in upscaling the content of GT4 missing in GT5 (Which they should have already done) and then releasing it as GT4 HD.

GT5 should have basically been GT4 HD, GT6 has to be.

GT6 should be a complete overhaul, deconstruction and reconstruction, no more mass experiments.

Something focused and streamlined , yet broad and free flowing.

GT6 should address the 2 driving worlds, casual/utilitarian and competitive and let us experience both.

Besides , everyone knows that even-numbered GTs are the sh.
