I hope GT6 comes out on the PS3, anyone know when E3'12 is?

Electronics Entertainment Expo I think, or something along those lines. It is in Vegas in June I believe. It is where all the new and upcoming electronic entertainment stuff is showcased. Last year G4 network had a ton of live broadcasting from there.

I think there's a very large possibility of seeing 'Something' at E3 this year... The Vita is out, and that does give 'Some' new hardware to play with. I don't think we'll really be seeing GT6 though, at least not officially, but perhaps some sign that PD is up to something, even IF it's shown off as just plugging Sony's available hardware.
Because Polyphony ARE working on GT6 (Apparently). Who remembers 2005? We had 'Vision Gran Turismo' and that was interesting.
It didn't really show off anything new over GT4, or much of what GT5 would be, except from then on we could really see that GT5 would for sure have far more cars on track than ever, which was what happened...
We may see some supercomputer evolution of GT5 to have a full 2o-odd car F1 style grid. We may see some super advanced damage but if so it's most likely been individually, deliberately modeled for a video. The amount of Vita speculation in this thread gave me a brainwave; something that I would love to do if I were PD, and that's to use it as some form of real Portable garage, that you can take to a friends house and use ANY of your garage cars in split-screen.

I must admit, i desperately wish for gt6 on ps3, gt5 being the only ps3 game I play anymore I'm not going to pay what would equate to $700+ on gt6. While I live GT, it's not worth that much to me.
And seriously, there is so much PD can do to make gt6 a better game with absolutely no graphics update. Better racing series support, livery editor, more customizations, visual part of weight reduction and various conversions to start with. They could also make each event longer then a handful of short races, like the super GT races and such, this would definitely give it a better experience. It would be nice to have an explorable garage for all your favorites cars, say pick 10 cars and have them in a photomode style garage, have different garages to chose from. Anything from mechanic shop, collectors garage, or even just a normal everyday garage. Could even have the garages slightly customizable, your friends could visit your garage and it could show it in the opening screen amongst all the other clips.
There's also the obvious gap in content, something that would appease many is to add hockenhiemring and have the dtm line up. Or add mid-Ohio and/or road Atlanta or something along those lines with almsGT support. They could also add an up to date generic f1 with multiple aero kits and colorable liveries and add any f1 track, assuming there is no livery kit.
But to actually answer the question, like most I'm hoping but not confident it will be announced.

I'm also wanting GT6 on the PS3 as well. What's the difference of having a new system that'll come 2 years from now, just because one system was pushed to it's limit. So what? PD can make GT6 what GT5 was suppose to be. Just by fixing up GT5's flaws and tweaking up some things, hoping GT6 would be better and complete. Lets see if PD was using the feedback sections help to make GT6 even more better, since GT5 is well... I'll keep that to myself.

I agree im not ready to trade my ps3 for a ps4 yet nor would I pay 700 bucks for gt6.

lolno. GT5 has gotten extremely stale, I haven't played it for possibly 2 months now. If they release a GT6 within the next 2 years(unless we get a new console) then I HIGHLY doubt I will be getting it. How long did it take them to make GT5? Far to long for how crap filled its been. A GT6 within the next year or two with be nothing but a copy and paste from GT5.
SP were all announced at E3.

No. What I replied to was you saying that GT5 ran at 720p natively rather than 1080p, which I was attempting to explain that, while you were right about it not running at 1080p native, the game does not run at 720p as you purported.
What's actually interesting is that you said presented something as being the case to try to bolster your point and when I pointed that what you were saying wasn't as accurate as you were presenting it as you changed the subject.

GT5 deserves an expansion pack , and coincide with Vita feature wise, (at this 2012 E3 announcement would be wonderful), while PD continue to work hard to release GT6 as a premier launch title for the upcoming PS4 winter holidays 2013, not this 2 and a half years later nonsense like they agonized us with the PS3 launch.

Why are some of you taking the "two GT games per console" so seriously? It depends on a lot of factors, It doesn't have to be true for every console generation. I might be wrong, but I don't think they have a strict rule to make a certain number of games every time a new console is released.
