There are reasons to think GT6 is a ps4 Game. The truth is we dont know what Sony is up to. you ignore other opinions.

But we will Never find a Solution You have a opinions and others have their opinions. And i have my opinion.

Tons of games are coming to the PS3 in 2013 (like God of War Ascension, imagine if Sony announce that game for PS3 being exclusive and releasing the PS4 in the same year, impossible) and if Sony is not going to announce a PS4 this year (in 2012) and probably yes in 2013 (finally) but maybe for 2014...at this point i am not sure if we are going to see GT6 in the PS4 just because PD used to release GT versions every 2 to 3 years.

That being said it will be possible a GT6 release for the PS3 "again" for 2013 and if that if going to happen they are going to announce it.

BUT could be Tourist Trophy a probably and last release from PD to keep us busy and give us more content for GT5 as well and then yes probably GT6 being a PS4 release game in 2014.

Thinking in a "marketing way" sounds logical to me. Keep making money with more content for GT5 (cars and tracks) and in the way updating the game as well.

Then PS4, new and better game with even more content at release and improved quality thanks to the new hardware. Avoiding complaints and that kind of stuff.

I am sure that they are listening to us but GT5 is just like that and we can live or not with that.

Hope the best for GT6 and keep playing GT5 waiting for more content. This game is just like rFactor in size of content. (people who plays rFactor as me has to wait for great mods even years just to play...of course the little difference is that the content is all free)

- The PS3 is not dead as many big titles are being released throughout this year and into 2013. As long as AAA titles are released the console thrives.

NO have you seen how many polys you can push out now a days, TEN TIMES MORE!!! that means Gt5's cars are basically crap by PS4 standards. PD would literally have to re texture every car, bump up the poly count * no more hexagon circles ETC* THINK ABOUT IT , Pd could take all the work from gt5 , port it to GT6 with a better engine, re work tracks that look bland in this game * grand valley trail mountain ETC. Add in about a hundred more premiums *rm for most cars* and about ten new tracks, a huge reworked a spec Carrier better online better customization and tuning a better photo mode*already phenomenal!* and tada GT6.. OR. Spend around 4 years upgrading the "premium tracks and the 200 cars" and adding a hand full of new cars for the ps4!?! the only way i can see a positive outcome to the whole ps4 thing is outsourcing..
Edit: Gt6 would also drop standards..! Kaz knows how bad the reception was for that!

Standards weren't acceptable in 2010 and they won't be in late 2013/2014/20XX.

Outsourcing would allow PD to have more man power to finish and polish content, which is one of the things GT5 lacked the most, and also where its direct competition shines.

That would mean either a) They started working on it for PS3 and have continued to do so to this point. b) At that point in time they already had PS4 dev kits and started working on it for PS4 or c) They started working on GT6 as a PS3 game and then into the development got PS4 dev kits and switched to PS4 development.

Which would you personally say is more likely? You have to remember PD are a Sony company basically, so they will know as soon as Sony do when a PS4 is released, and will get a dev kit first. However, do you think it's really likely that a dev kit representative of the final machine was already available to PD back then? So either they worked on it as a PS3 game or they were lying and didn't really start on it until they had PS4 dev kits.

- No PS4 has been announced yet and won't be at E3 2012, according to Sony. Consoles are usually released around 18 months after they're announced.

Granted this isn't a solid fact but it's what we know at the moment and bearing that in mind, it could be more than two years from today before we see a PS4. Add that onto the statement Kaz said that GT6 wouldn't take as long as GT5 did you can assume he's aiming for release before 2014.

This supports a PS3 release given that they could do so much more, basically making GT5 the game it could have been. Content is king.

Not to repeat the above but I'm proving that the PS3 is not a dead console and won't be for some time, giving PD an ample window in which to release GT6 on it and still sell really well.

100% agreed. I am playing rFactor with DRM Revival and Historic and Touring cars (GTL) mods...and oh my god...best and realistic engines sounds ever in a racing game.
Plus there is other mod called Lamborghini.Murcielago.LP 670-4.SV.Mod.v1.0.GTR2...for GTR 2 of course on PC too. Best Lambo sound ever. 100% accurate. It is like being in the real car.👍

I want that for GT series.

I'm going with yes on this one. I think Polyphony Digital is going to change up their marketing this time though. They are not going to playing up Gran Turismo 6 anywhere close to what they did with GT5. I think Sony, and PD will want to play it very safe this time, and try not to over hype the game. Just merely let everyone know that it's actually coming, and will be a PS3 title.

I also have a source that is close to Sony, that seems to think Gran Turismo Vita is in the works too, and will be announced this year.

Well I hope Sony isn't forcing them to work on the Vita version before GT6, nor announce it before GT6. I personally want GT6 first. Plus, I've yet to own the Vita.

And agreed, it's best to play it safe in regards to a release date announcement. I hope they can at least tell us the year though. Whether it's going to be 2013 or 2014 is a pretty big deal! I'd have to agree with Amar that an E3 announcement is pretty slim, but a Gamescom or Tokyo Game Show is much more probable. It just seems like all their big announcements come from those events. The best I've seen at E3 are trailers for GT, not counting the PSP version which received a full presentation by Kaz and Translator San themselves.

I am sure the majority of people here want GT6 before GT vita or Tourist Trophy2 but that doesn't really mean anything. Different people want different things. Sony wants to sell systems and needs content to do that, GT fans want GT6, I want GT6 and or TT2, and PD well no one is really sure what they want.

We get whatever they give us whenever they decide we get it.

Just release some more DLC for GT5 and focus on the future. If Sony is serious about winning the console war next time, they're going to want one of their most important franchises out sooner rather than later.
