Some tarmac footage.

Is it normal to have the seq stick closer to the wheel than the handbrake, or is this just preferential? Most videos I've seen have those two switched.
No idea how it is in the real cars. Maybe it varies from car to car?

Possibly varies from car to car, the real Hyundai Rally1 has the shifter closer to the wheel.

Many comments on YouTube... "and everyone says that the vehicle behaves strange..." "RBR is better...". Really? RBR cars without realistic weight... without realistic suspensions... that accelerate like an arcade... that do not turn abnormally, at a 90º angle... that do not accept different driving because their physics does not They give for more... All that is good. But they always find something like DR, DR 2.0... and of course they will also see this WRC as strange. Do you want to imitate McRae in DR 2.0? Can.

Always the same comments trying to destroy everything that is not RBR. Better not to listen to what an RBR pilot really thinks. I have a friend who races a rally with a Subaru... and thanks to DR 2.0 it was easier for him to adapt to reality. With RBR I didn't learn anything useful in reality.

I have to confess I’m pretty bored of hearing about RBR, I’ve said it before here and I’ll keep saying it. Same happens every time any rally game with sim tendencies releases. It’s a comparison that’s totally irrelevant for console players as the vanilla RBR was beaten a while ago on every level.

The version people make comparisons to is a heavily modded version that has had nearly 20 years of development and perseverance from a very small die hard community. All credit to them, they’ve done great work keeping it alive, it just isn’t a comparison for me and hasn’t been since Dirt Rally 1 really.

That is the second problem: the mods are not good either because they rely on the original physics, and no matter how much they modify, they cannot work miracles. That's why I said that about RBR, there is no good version... they are all bad. Sorry xD.

It was brilliant for its time, and was probably the leading rally sim for longer than it should have been. But I agree, it’s very dated now, it’s had its time and I wish people would move on.

Indeed. We have rally games like the ones we had always dreamed of (except on asphalt, there is room for improvement and I agree) from Codemasters. DR it was incredible... It's from 2015 and look how it ages... it's sublime. Then came DR 2.0 and this was already a great goal for the squad. Some physics in gravel and snow really ahead of its time. My opinion is that Dirt Rally 2.0 is at the top of Rally simulation. Dirt Rally 2.0 is INIMITABLE!! because of that IMPRESSIVE REALISM that enters your every pore as soon as you sit behind the wheel of any car, and you are impregnated with all those SENSATIONS!!...the SOUND in the cabin, between the engine, tires, surface and co-pilot
The SOLIDITY of those GREAT GRAPHICS!!... and if we add a NOTABLE FEEDBACK (quite criticized but...) that defines you, with its reactions, the REAL...CREDIBLE WEIGHT of a car that roars...vibrates. ..sounds...complains and roars...something that has never been achieved...and will not be...for a long time

Honestly, I'm just as bored of hearing how "super realistic" DR 2.0 is. The bolded part applies to DR 2.0, too. Cars feel super light and floaty, suspension feels weird (and you can attack the biggest jumps in any car at max speed without issues), rwd cars accelerate quickly with very little wheelspin in any conditions, etc... It's a fun, immersive game, but not a hardcore sim. I played RBR 10+ years ago and can't even remember what it felt like, so I can't comment on that.

EA Sports WRC looks damn good so far, can't wait to try it myself!

The fake Martini liveries are pretty poor 😅. Fortunately the editor looks a lot more in depth than I was expecting.

Looks great, is the chief engineer the same voice actor from FH4's Stunt Driver...
"Hey Kid, don't be fooled by the Lancia, she may be a beauty but she will try to kill you. But treat her right and you'll be fine."
:D

He told me that "Driving is easier than in DR 2.0, because it is obviously a licensed game" :( The car has more grip on gravel, so when you try to "throw" it to make it skid... the skid is cut off and you crash.

The Traxxion gameplay didn’t look like this. More creators will release stuff later, should get quite a wide range of opinion I think.

Also, easier doesn’t mean less realistic.

Gotta say, the graphics look fantastic! Hope they iron out the performance issues.
Oh, and please give us a huge FOV range, since triples are apparently not happening any time soon.

Actually, now that I mentioned it; why not also let us move the seat and "head" freely and let us choose the perfect camera position, just like in all the big sims.

I must have missed something? I thought triple screen support was included?
