I wish you didn't have to read the comments on that video. It's probably one of the not so fun parts of your job.

Apparently a bunch of gatekeepers think that using a controller proves the game is dumbed down for console kiddies.

I'm not one of them and was thinking of Abbie but I'm glad she was a good sport about the whole thing. It's always good to get another perspective from behind the scenes though.
I really enjoyed the video. It's clearly a bit of fun and not meant to be taken too seriously, I also appreciate that its something different as an idea in regards to marketing material in the run up to release. Plus any appearance of a Escort MK2 = 👍

I used a DS4 controller on PC with DR2.0 to what I would hope was a decent level. A friend that I used to play and compare times on dailies with Who had a good wheel setup and is a skilled driver always claimed I had an advantage on Controller because I wasn't tired and sweating after 1 stage  So I'm thrilled to see that the Controller handling seems to be carrying on from DR2.0 and is very intuitive and usable.

@MagpieRacer Is there a similar comparison to WRC 10/WRC G?

WRC Generations:
Unique: 387.4km
Total: 1431km
Max stage: 25.90km
Min stage: 0.97km
Average stage: 9.93km

Credit to XeniaJesse on Discord for this.

I’d already done the overall length comparisons but the comparisons of longest, shortest and average stage lengths is very cool.

And just for fun:

Mobil 1 Rally Championship:
Unique: 620km
Total: 620km
Max stage: 42.82km
Min stage: 3.25km
Average stage: 17.22km

Richard Burns Rally:
Unique: 181.8km
Total: 272.4km
Max stage: 13.8km
Min stage: 2.2km
Average stage: 7.36km

You joke but I did actually have to drive those (rather poor) runs this morning for work.

I am working on the How To guide for Clubs and needed to see what the results options looked like on Racenet.

You can go there right now and watch my crappy no practice driving.
Don't worry, I know you were working :)

Console performance targets revealed. Very happy to see it’s targeting 4k60 on the XSX and PS5. Does say there will be dynamic resolution scaling, to be expected. But this is great news.

Hello everyone,

EA SPORTS WRC is almost here, and we can't wait to see you all enjoy the game next week.

We recently received some questions regarding expected console performance and output quality, which you can find answers to below:

What is the target resolution on console?
PlayStation 5: 4K
Xbox Series X: 4K
Xbox Series S: 1440p

Please note that some parts of the game will use different or dynamic resolutions for optimisation purposes.

What is the target framerate on console?

How do the console graphics presets compare to PC?
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are essentially equivalent to High settings on PC
Xbox Series S has a few settings that are equivalent to Medium or Low, for performance reasons.

4k 60 :gtpflag:

Hoping the livery editor makes it easier to try and create Porsche's 'Pink Pig' than Bing's AI translations...

Great news! That means 5760x1080 will yield even better performance.

I just got an update from Amazon regarding my disc delivery. Monday, 6 November. It's fine with me. A week after early access doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things, and I'll be able to see what my peers think before opening it.

Of course, even if it's "arcade" I know I'll play anyway so who am I trying to fool :).

Looking forward to our GTP league. Enjoy, y'all. I'll see you shortly after release.

How is this $53 dollarydoos to preorder on Steam when Forza and the F1 games are like $100? That's a fair price for what sounds like a solid game, and as someone who enjoyed DR2 I have no doubt I can get at least fifty bucks of fun out of it.

Sold.

Wont be getting on it early, but very excited to gett into this game. DR2.0 keeps crashing on me since the spring, so it's been way to long since i got scare the poop out of myself 😂

If anyone wants to add me my psn is below and my earacenet name is lebowski2. I honestly don't know why, and didn't knowni even had an ea account already lol

I was pleasantly surprised with the pricing of the game too. I Pre-Ordered on Steam for £40. - £5 loyalty discount for owners of DR2.0

Very reasonable considering the content that seems to be offered.

Various reasons I think including:
1. The WRC licence is inevitably lot cheaper than F1
2. @PJTierney has commented before on this thread that EA are trying to "build" the rally market, which is one of the reasons why there's no "deluxe super duper" version as there would normally be, and hence the inclusion of the VIP passes in the standard edition. Which is hopefully a rare "win-win" situation for both publisher and player 👍

In this case, I am happy to acknowledge and applaud EA for a good strategy on their release 👍

I also have a problem with crashing in DiRT Rally 2.0, but in my case it's not due to a fault with the game. 🫣

Best of all is they appear not to have skimped on content for that price. When it comes to corners, they "don't cut".

Esapekka Lappi struggling to stay on road in game as much as real life. The game must be even more realistic then we all first thought.

Lappi did this earlier today - (Everyone is fine, Even those silly spectators doing the Rallying cardinal sin of spectating from the outside of turns)

Idiots. This video is from one of them:

On a blind corner aswell. How clueless can they be! There's a marshall there in high vis! Why has let them stand there. Thats literally his main responsibility.

Another stage (I think SS6 had to be cancelled due to spectator issues too) Its a shame.
