Yeah but that Czech road has Austrian/German traffic signs and bus stops!Hmmm I am really disappointed it is only in the Czech Republic 😑

Fingers crossed for next year, thenMan I felt so bad for Evans. I know it was an outsider shot for the title realistically but it would have made Japan very interesting given how that round played out.
Why? Tarmac roads with lots of greenery; how would being in different countries change anything at all?Hmmm I am really disappointed it is only in the Czech Republic 😑
I put gt7 on last night for first time in a couple of weeks, light years differenceWhat would be really nice, instead of releasing an unfinished game (the low price of the game doesn't justify anything, in my perspective)... they would focus on the main thing in a racing game... stable frame rates.
I play on Xbox One Series X (and my critique is only aimed to this scenario)... and what a disappointment to see so much stutter and frame rate drops...specially with so low end graphics.
Playing Dirt 2.0 at 4k 60fps (rock solid since the Xbox One X) with beautiful graphics and sounds, and then switching to this?? It's like going 10 years back .
The excuse of the previous engine wouldn't allow longer stages, can't justifiy everything.
Just disappointed. Hopefully the developers can improve all things a little bit...
3 countries with différent roads and environnements. It's called the CER and NOT the Czech rally😉 At least I expected a stage from every country, even if it meant to reduce length. Why? Tarmac roads with lots of greenery; how would being in different countries change anything at all?

No no it's completely fine 🍻 I wasn't aware of that info but still 😉I definitely didn’t expect a stage from each country. If we assume it takes, say, 6-8 months to build an environment from scratch, they would have had to start work on CER, around February. We only knew then that it was going to feature 3 countries, no idea how much of each. CER route wasn’t announced until July, possibly 5 months into work on the stage, then changed in August and the CER was apparently playable at the CER rally.
For all Codemasters knew when they started making the environment, it could have been 18 Czech stages, 1 Austrian and 1 German. It was always going to be a bit of a gamble as to whether they got close in terms of location, route or what country to represent.
Look at every other rally they made, they are exact, if not very close to, the real stages, because they knew what they were and where they were etc.
Sorry if I seem bullish on this but they started building this rally totally blind other than a rough estimation on region. So I don’t think it’s really fair criticism.
Indeed, the game crashes when loading a saved career. Fully updated, restarted the game, console..Won't get to try it myself until later, looks like there's a potential career bug crashing the game that's happened by this patch, not affecting everyone and CER can't be selected in club championships yet.

Well , on ea wrc discord seem that some critics aren’t allowed .
I really like EA wrc , but codemasters took a bad decision going to unreal engine..
As kunos already said, unreal isn’t a friendly engine for racing games, and I see same thing happening than with acc.
-hard to optimize
-demanding on resources
- they fix one thing, and old bugs com back with some new ones patch after patch
Codemasters should improve their ego engine so that it can allow larger stages and for the next wrc go back to ego engine or a proper engine.
Kunos also discarded unreal for AC2 and will go back to a proper own engine

It seems there's a big problem in Chile
That happened to me during today's moment, but at the time I wasn't sure I hadn't over-rotated in the hairpin and gone back down the wrong way. I just restarted the stage and it was fine the second time.Odd one, was that on todays Moment?

Yeah, I took the hairpin as wide as possible and no problem for me; so yeah, found the "hotfix"I cut the hairpin and got a countdown to reset despite being back on track, then after 30s it just reset me anyway.
Do you have already tested the 1.4 patch?
I think this patch changes not much to the better.
Bedsides that the car setups have now completely new ranges (where nobody knows if they are nearer to the real cars or not) the stutters are the same and Monte Carlo has the same problems as before.
Also it seems there is something wrong with steering sensitivity and FFB, I have steering deadzone set to 0, but in the car it feels like it has a deadzone of 20 or more. Or maybe some FFB singnals are inverted now ... I don't know.
I think I will wait for the next patch. This game is a mess.
What graphics card do you use?I haven’t experience any stuttering at all since installing the patch. Literally zero, even on Monte, was my first test location as it’s easy to consistently recreate it there.
