Took the C1 for a cruise around the Ring earlier, was trying to see if it could beat the Merc unfortunately could only manage an 8:46.855. I was 0.7 up at the bridge on the final straight but the extra power of the Merc told in the end

It was a weird one. I'm sure I saw @RMan72's alert with the pictures yesterday morning, then nadda after that. I only noticed when I arrived on the tuning forum that the thread had bold text Huh, new stuff!? Where's my alerts ?

Dude, I just noticed where you keep your trophies(It was my phone's fault really the screen is small and I was walking at the time ) That's awesome

That's the idea but it's not 100% reliable I'm afraid.
Going off experience, if you sign-up for alerts from too many different threads, the system can't cope & has a meltdown of sorts. Golden rule: always acknowledge your alerts or it assumes you're no longer interested in that particular thread.

I'd love to see the sector times from both yours and @RMan72 laps as well as both ghost laps at the same time. I'm pretty sure we could come to a conclusion as to just what's left in the Gullwing around the Nordschleife. It would be a fascinating education to say the least.

Well it was a good thing I postponed updating until this morning, seems Spoox has been getting a bit crazy on the track .

After lots of trying i've managed to beat my lap time. The first time i got under 8:43's the time was 8:42.6 something but i continued to do a few more laps & went quicker so didn't save this lap time. I managed a new best time of 8:42.038

That was a super lap , I don't think there is much left to gain with this car on that track. That was as close as you could have gotten without tying, but our friend @RMan72 took a coffee and went a bit farther , I'm thinking off banning the use of coffee for these , seems to me it's an illegal fuel .

I've just updated the SL300 Scoreboard with @Brewguy44 & @Gyro1780 new lap times, I need to find some time to get back on that track and chase you guys, I'm falling to far back .

I have really been wanting to participate and try these cars but I been busy and finding the time has been difficult. So last night, I shelved the 2 Camaros I need to test for another night and just went for the SL. CM tires are not a strong suit, neither is no ABS, and the car has never really done anything for me (reminds me of a Studebaker for some reason). But the color reminds me of my Brown Metallic 1975 Monte Carlo, my first car.

Took a few quick runs to set the brakes to where I felt was workable with my poor driving skills. Then I was off, and I really enjoyed the ride. The tune is awesome, the looks are amazing. Changed my opinion of the car totally. Did struggle a bit getting used to CM and finding proper braking, but I settled into the handling really quick. The first lap was unremarkable to say the least bit I expected that I felt the second would improve. Quickly was ahead of my ghost until I found the kitty litter. Kept catching my ghost and then messing up, in the end, the second lap was actually slower. The third ended quickly as I red lapped real early. So I quit and restarted on cold tires and fared much better. The more time I spent with it, the better it was , and more and more enjoyable.

Sadly however, my limited time on was up and third complete lap was the last for the night. Kind of embarrassed a ith my time but, I now have a good reason to come back to this and try to improve. Not going to be easy to find time to do so, but I have to get a better time. And I did save the best (not so good) lap replay.. ..... The time was 9:01.136. Easily room to get under 9.xxx.

You gentlemen have done a fantastic job with this car and I can see how it can be VERY ADDICTIVE!

I really understand you about being busy , I still can't figure how you pulled off everything you did so far. As for your question "Any rule on how bad you can be?", the answer is .... no . There are some pretty amazing drivers who have taken their time to try this and there are a few of us learning from them, it's just about having fun with a car that was tuned with IRL settings that we found could fit and seeing if we can master it.

Driving with no aids has been a blessing for me, It's made me a better driver and discover a new facet of GT6, + some hilarious runs on line with the people that drop by. Super well tuned cars are great and so are Replicas, it's like having completely different menus to choose from, need a change, take that one, next day try the other, just wish I had a bit more free time.

I'm very happy that you dropped by , you've been an incredible asset to and a great help to so many people, and yes it can become very addictive driving this way .

I'm off to work so I'll update the scoreboard with your lap time tomorrow, and BTW 9:01 is a very good time for your first time 👍.

I'm really glad you chose the Merc though and even more glad you like it 👍 I really do hope you enjoyed the experience as much as you appear to And don't worry about a 9:01, I know that you have little if any experience with no abs and the fact you chose to try the car that way and run The Ring says a great deal
