After seeing the fastest lap of Bottas. Flat out through Maggotts, Beckets and entering Chapel. Insane! 👍. That car is on rails and the driver has some cojones .

A- Why lap times are about 1 sec slower than last week with a softer tyers?
B - Rules say that you have to use the softest tyres in Q3, Ric didn't. Is he in trouble?

B: You don't have to, it's just that you get a set of softs that can only be used in Q3. You don't have to use them, you just can't use them in the race. Normally the softs are the best qualy tyre, so they always get used (and you save an extra set for the race). Today the softs didn't perform very well, so some cars didn't use the free set.

Well, another boring predictable qualy section with the same more than predictable 2 guys in the front. All ready for another boring and predictable race where I bet all my possessions that a Mercedes will win it.
And then, after the boring and predictable run for p1 and 2, when F1 really starts, the run for 3rd place, things looks very hot. Renault, I mean, Danny is finally showing pace while McLaren is surprisingly going in the opposite direction.
Good job by Hulk and Gasly.
Tomorrow, same thing. Forget the damn first and second positions and enjoy the rest.

It's more credible that Helmut Marko goes completely mad and puts Hulk in the second Red Bull. That is to say... not at all, but what a spectacle it would be
I'd love to see them sack Kvyat, send Albon back to the B team and put Hulk in the seat next to Verstappen. Hulk simply deserves a seat in a competitive car, more than some current drivers do.

FE? I'd send him to the USA to drive Indy cars or Nascars. Let him go ballistic there. Albon is a good kid, but he has too much to learn and just isn't ready to drive a top team car consistently. And he isn't a good enough RB "Bottas" to support Max, but he can give Ghastly a good run for his money and grow as an F1 driver.
Someone should get our notes to Horner.

So true!! i didn't even think of how well he'd do in NASCAR lol. Most people who watch NASCAR "only watch it for the wrecks" haha.

You know, while they're doing 2 races on the same track this season, why not do the second race reverse direction? Pit in out might prove a bit finnicky, but I'm sure they can find a solution for that problem and make it a bit more interesting.

The run offs and safety barriers etc aren't made for reverse direction. Its a safety thing. They touched on it in practice.

And even if they did have the money to rebuild half the track to make it reverse-capable, and somehow had the means to get all the needed modifications done within the space of five days, I can't help but feel that the track wouldn't flow nearly as well going in the opposite direction, which would make for a pretty poor quality race.

I'd hate to see him next to Verstappen.
I don't know what it is with Red Bull and their internal atmosphere, but they always seem to have a second driver that really isn't enjoying themselves. First Webber, then they kicked Kvyat out, Gasly apparently wasn't good enough either, although he is driving the wheels off the AlphaTauri, and now they will kick Albon out for sure next season. It's like they pick their favourite child, and leave the other one to rot, and then act surprised when their second driver isn't performing.
