There are too many punters out there at the moment, plus people who are so slow you crash after catching up to them unexpectedly fast (watch out for F430s ). Add to that some silly mistakes and it's not a good night for racing for me.

Excellent overtake around the outside there Holden. 👍 I'm not comfortable enough with my 512 setup to have pulled that off.

What's a fast lap time around here?

Edit: Judging from Rudi's times anything 2'05 is fast. That's good, I should be able to break into 2'05s, but not until Thursday. Tonight I'm too tired and keeping messing up the same corner and tomorrow I play basketball. At the moment, my average hot lap in the California should be around 2'06.0 In the 512 BB I did a low 2'08, and despite that time gap it's the 512 I'll end up using online, it's just so fun, and suits my driving style better, and has more visibility, and a nicer cabin, and a cooler sound, and looks better etc etc.

Managed to race a few GTP members today in the F430 (Dutch Customs Tuning tuned) ... and boy... they're all fast....👍

GTP_supersonic88 in the California was on steroids...
GTP_a1PAPAOSA was kickin my ass on every corner...
and a few more members I can't recall at the moment.

In one event, all GTP members were in the top 4.

I hope I didn't cause any accidents but if I did, I apologize.

Hope to race y'all again tomorrow & more nights to come...

i dont know about steroids but yep had some good racing tonight. Saw a number of GTP drivers, as well as a few other good racers here and there. There was also much less punting than the previous nights which is always good 👍 Anyway im off to bed, cya!

Yeah, that is extremely frustrating. I usually just try out my tunes online now. I'll make only a couple laps on my own with a tune before hopping online and trying it out to make sure it works as well in actual racing. You have to be willing to look like a complete idiot occasionally when it turns out your tune doesn't work well online... Then again, a couple beers does that to me also, so I'm used to it

Unfortunately, it's the only way to do it. Since physics can be so different (MR cars appear to be affected most), you must test it online. Ofcourse you still needed online testruns, but just to test how it handles in unexpected situations. Before the August 1 update, you could just tune a car in free run and you at least knew it handled the same online. Ofcourse there was RBE, but it didn't affect you when in the center of the grid. Since the August 1 update, there is a difference in how the car handles online and in free run. Period. It doesn't even matter if RBE is running against you or with you or where you are in the grid, the handling is just never the same as when tuning the car and doing free runs. Major poopoo on PD's part IMO. 👎

If joining a race didn't take forever, and if I didn't get so many "can't connect to host" (1 in 5) after waiting forever for player matching, and a "connection to server lost" every 10 races, I'd be happy to bear with that...

It's a bitch to drive but the sound is so awesome. Shame it struggles to keep up with the other Ferrari's. They need to do something on the PP for this car.
I can't get below a 2:08 (freemode) in this beast, it's too heavy to keep up with the rest.

Sorry to all for starting my first race with 637PP, I didn't realise it had been reset but I should have guessed. I did move clean out of everyone's way at the start though.

I'm so annoyed the California has such a performance advantage over the F430, DC's tune has made it a wonderful car but come on, with a grid full of GTPers such as yourselves, a 430 doesn't stand a chance of winning in my hands

Dammit, really want to get stuck into this event as well. Time to stop whinging and beg the tuners for a different California tune...

Had a couple laggy connections though, the only race which ran smoothly for me was the one I hosted. I also kept blowing the first turn after the initial straight. I don't know why, I don't usually do that and I hadn't changed the tune on my 512. Oh well...

If I get a chance I'll hop back in later this evening for a couple more attempts.

thanks for racing tonight. perhaps the problem could be the weight being reset to 100%. that has happened to alot of people after the update. if you have a lighter car your pp will change and also you will have more weight on your car, which could be the cause of you blowing the first turn...

Am I understanding this correctly, you are asking for a less-performing tune or one that is more hard to handle?

I could do one on S3's though. That would make it faster on the straights, but more of a handful during cornering.

As for how the California is placed against the F430, I believe it does have slightly better specs, but I seriously doubt that would result in better times with the roof down.

I'm gonna test your Tune with S-3, in Tzayads streetcup. Do you think it needs something else changed too, than HP up?
