So who here are going to play this on the PS3? (I know I am:))

I will be buying my own 1080p telly for my room, come September. So I'll be playing this and TDU2 all day, every day. :dopey: I think a few GTP meets are in order.

I will probably get this sometime or other and between this and GT5 I will get my racing fix.👍

Also, I doubt this will happen, but any word if any of the AI drivers will change throughout the seasons(IE Mark Webber retires getting replaced by some other driver)?

From what I have read on the Codies forum, I doubt this will happen.
Drivers don't change teams due to the license.
Taken from http://community.codemasters.com/forum/f1-2010-game-1316/411156-f1-2010-what-we-know-so-far-please-read-before-posting.html (Ten lines or so above the section marked "GP Mode")

However, earlier in that same thread they also say:
You play a rookie driver. Your driver will replace the worst driver, in terms of stats, on a team, and that driver will either disappear or swap for another driver who will disappear.

I know I am too. The GTP F1 Championship will be in the cards when i get F1 2010 on PS3. This game has been really impressing me as of late. I can't wait to see the full details on the career mode.

I'll be playing it on PS3. I'm looking for this to keep me occupied for that final month and a half before GT5.

I am new to the PC, I was planning to buy the PS3 version unless I hear the PC would be SO much better. Anyone?

Yeah, I hope the game lets you replace Mark Webber w/ someone who's able to not run people off the road.

I doubt it will be that much better if better at all, its the same game using the same engine, ny difference will be minimal. Not to mention PC gaming is dying as a whole.

Xbox 360 for me all the way.

AFAIK this is the Xbox 360 version. If it looks as good on the PS3 as in this video, I'm getting it also for the PS3.

Yeah the game will look great on consoles. Of course if you have gaming rig then cranking up resolution will make it look even better with everything max. More over PS3 guys like racing games so it is nice to play even with some F1 fan online rather than PC :P

The Codies' F1 Facebook page linked to this writeup of a full-length multiplayer race. Two of the devs battled with each other and the AI drivers - set to their highest difficulty - around Monza.

Hmm, sounds like they don't make all the cars online equal, like how they did it in F1:CE. That's going to ruin championships.

Have to wonder how all the adjustments will work, I can't see how that mapping would work on a wheel that isn't the DFGT(it has the red dial thing on it).

Anyways, thanks for posting that, was an interesting read.

It also clearly states they selected 2010 performance. You can have all cars equal if you so wish to.

Having all the cars equal online is one of my main hates for F1CE, so i think it's good they're accurate.

Why? It makes everyone equal for fair racing ,and not have to use a Lotus 3 seconds off just because a guy came in the game 2 seconds before you and picked the Ferrari.

I'm glad that they finally allow car tuning online, now I can get rid of all the understeer that plagued me in F1:CE online.

I prefer realism for F1, you can get fair racing by driving one-make series, and that's not F1.

This is why its been made an option, so everyones happy.

The write up sounded excellent, the racing sounded genuinely exciting and strategic. Just making me more and more exciting.

That was a good write up. After seeing the one of the gameplay videos I think I will have to get this along with GT5. I'm looking forward to this game, hopefully online will be robust.

But it's online, where no one deserves to be faster than the other driver because they picked a car first. It should be down to driving skill, steategy, etc. It makes things fun and fair for everyone online, how it should be.

So we know that Monza, Spa, and Monaco are in? Wow, I'm frothing at the mouth just thinking about those three.

What about the Ring? The F1 version? The Full Norscheslife version?

How about Leguna Seca? Bathhurst? Zandfort?

I would guess no to all of those as they aren't F1 tracks.(Although Nurburgring will host next years German GP)

Here is the list of tracks that will be in the game(Although Korea may not be in as construction is still going on, and the GP may not even happen).

Couple of impressive looking videos - much smoother and more life-like than the previous E3 videos, mainly owing to the fact that the gamer is using a wheel this time:

I'm not sure about the Geordie race engineer. Doesn't look like much oversteer aswell, just understeer all over the place like F1:CE, his front wheels were even screeching in the wet.

How about you actually learn about Formula 1 💡
