One big problem I see is that the kerbs are too rideable, which brings me to this.

See, in F1 2010, the real problem was not the kerbs being unrideable. The real problem was the way that the car reacts to the kerbs, or any bumps for that matter. The suspension didn't flex much, and so kerb riding at some tracks could prove to be deadly. Codemasters seemed to have fixed the car's flexibility, but they also went and flattened a lot of the kerbs, especially at Montreal, where there was already a problem with people straightlining the chichanes, it's going to be awful now.

Like this?

Had that happen a week or so ago, I think it was in a Q session. Hopefully stuff like that is fixed this year, or at least toned down. Should be, from what they've been saying.

The exact same thing happened to me before. Best just to avoid that kerb. Hope it has been fixed, but it was just that one kerb iirc.

yes marshall wawing flags are confirmed and there also light panels working. Also almost all the flags are in the game, event the red one.

With all this stuffs, amazing dynamic weather, safety car, pit stops, tyre and fuel simulation, damage and a proper career mode It's surely the most complete racing experience ever made.

weather is beyond amazing, it's not only dynamic (in terms of sunny-->rain) but there is a dynamic cloud system so it can be cloudy without raining or rain just in a part of the circuit while the rest stays dry. Not only this, there is also day night transction in abu dabhi.

here a race at MEDIUM difficulty:
and others:

Here's my question...Are these F1 2011 game demo videos that are popping up running on a PC, Xbox360 or PS3??
I was just curious as F1 2010 ran different on all systems last time around.

There hasn't really been any indication as to which consoles the videos are being run on. But Codemasters aren't like other developers - they don't make the game for one console and then port it over to the others (which usually results in the game or the original console being substantially better than the ports). They develop all three simultaneously.

I find this video rather encouraging, it may be the driver but everything looks more realistic than usual, smooth and precise lines, still a bit funny the front suspensions but not that horrible. And he does 1.13.4, he's not slow. What do you think?

Looks like they've made Montreal too easy, but again, I'll wait and see first.

At Abu Dhabi, enjoy 👍

And more...

... While looking for F1 2011 (the game) videos, I found this hot lap from real life F1 at SPA, 2008 Lewis Hamilton's Pole Lap Onboard

👍

Have to say the AI, looks brilliant in that Abu Dhabi vid, he really got swamped by them, and it looked like he was racing them, and they drive a little less erratically than in 2010.

Nice one finding that LH pole lap at Spa, I could never find any decent quality vid of it. It's memorable because that lap was so utterly inch perfect from La Source onwards. He out-qualified Massa by 3 tenths after Massa claimed he did a 'perfect' lap, in a car that was probably aerodynamically superior to the McLaren when it got its tyres working, which Massa didn't have trouble with in the way Raikkonen did, and all this considering he made a bad mistake at the start of the lap!

Can we keep the real f1 discussion in the motorsport section? And the Mclaren from 2008 was (according to Autosport) the most aerodynamically efficient F1 car of all time.

Quote from the F1 2011 FAQ in Codies Forum:

"Time trial: There is now two different leaderboards. One for people who cut the track and one for the people who do not."

yes, with all the stolen data from ferrari the previous year it was easy to make the best f1 car.

That is worrying and they are maybe serious 👎 unless I'm missing something and it is meant to be a joke. How would that one work though unless, when they mean cutting the track they really mean it as in cutting chicanes and going over the grass to cut corners.

Yes that was a joke.

In 2008, the Ferrari was not aerodynamically superior. It was credited with having superior mechanical grip to the McLaren. Anyway, here is not the place for this discussion.

I heard 450 euros over the Codies forums.

Right at the end of the video he says, 450 Euros VAT included, or 450 U.S. tax not included. For the base only.

He goes on to say the wheel rims will be 150 euros to 300 euros. My guess is the F1 rim will be at the larger end.

Sigh, more money to spend, although it'll be out around my birthday, Nov - Dec!

Same!! lol I will be saving. Its no more than a TV.... But unlike my feelings about the TR500, THIS wheel will be worth the money. Where as TR500 is not. The customizing options sound crazy cool. Very sad they wont be releasing with F1 though :(

I just don't really want to spend the 450 euros for a wheel which is probably marginally better then the DFGT for F1. The DFGT has enough buttons for the KERS and DRS and pitting strategy etc so I'm more then happy to use it.
