Okay, I'm starting to fall out with this game a bit...

Is anyone else really hating playing with a wheel? Myself and @Terronium-12 have talked about this, having similar issues. I just can't feel the car at all from my T150. It seems like there's little to no feedback coming through. Now, I'm not the greatest open-wheel racer by any means so I'm not sure if this is actually representative of how a Formula 1 car should handle - but without TC on it feels like you learn more from trial and error than how the car actually handles.

Any ideas? Am I being over-dramatic to compensate for spinning the car a bit?

Several t150 users are reporting the same issues on f1 2016 forums. Codies are investigating at the moment.

Now people know what g29 users were suffering with 2015. When I picked the game up and was driving home thinking about the possibilities this game would have and the most thing I wanted was more ffb for g29 wheels. I would've been happy with another rendition of 2015 as long as the ffb was fixed and 2016 not only is fantastic but the wheel support for g29 is fantastic, so I can defiantly relate to t50 users. Iam enjoying assetto corsa ATM but it's not as well rounded as PC IMO.

I'm really enjoy myself, 2015 was my first F1 game and I had fun with it because of all the tracks that you don't get in other racing games. 2016 has all that I liked and more, the practice programs and career points to build your team make a world of difference in the gameplay. The wheel feedback and physics are much improved also. One complaint, a female avatar would be a welcome addition, someday.

You're telling me.

Game feels fantastic with a G29, which 2015 had terrible ffb/feel with the g29.

Been so busy with work lately (car business is crazy :D) But at race 4 now Russia, qualified 1st (I'm on Ferrari with Vettel as my teammate)

Australia: Qualified Pole, lost to Rosberg. Rosbergs pace was just incredible throughout the entire race.

Bahrain: Qualified pole, held great pace the entire race and won 1st place!

China: Qualified pole (barely, Hamilton was insanely close behind) won the race by about 2-3 seconds.

Russia (so far) : Practice sessions went good, this is the first track I hadn't played on with TT / Quick race/ practice, so did 8-9 laps per practice session to get a good feel for it.

Qualified pole, and will likely do the race tonight.

Again, F1 2016 is an amazing game, and I really love the feel with the G29, I can really feel when the car is losing grip.

Got a Few more races under my Belt, the car is really improving now that i have gotten some big upgrades on the car:

Monaco:

Canada:

I'm really liking this game, Ill be starting a league soon with some Aussie racers and we have a full 22 car grid co-op championship, this is going to be epic.

Yeah well on 2015 it's like playing with ffb tuned of. Even on its highest setting, it takes stevie wonder brail type feel to feel anything. But on 2016 it's like PC in terms of ffb. Plus wheel gets heavier the faster you go, something 2015 lacked on the g29 as well.

2015 wasn't too bad with the CSR, although the feel around centre was very numb, and the ffb was lacking in the effects department. In any case, ffb in 2016 sounds like a good step forward, like the rest of the game, so I'm looking forward to getting my wheel working with the game. Playing with a pad this last week or so has made me realise just much of a difference a wheel makes. My skills with a controller are pretty poor lol.

the difference in ffb is night and day, pretty much like the rest of the game. But I try to explain to "car gamers" that a wheel totally changes the feel or playability of a game. My cousin traded in PC on ps4 as he said it was jargon, played it on my wheel and he couldn't believe the difference, he was having a blast and said that the enjoyment he got was no where to be seen playing it on a controller. People playing games like this on a controller are missing out on just to much don't you think?

Yeah I've convinced more than a couple of my friends to buy wheels for exactly that reason. Racing games, particularly sims, are infinitely better with a wheel. Even a cheap wheel improves the feeling of realism and immersion of any sim.

When I first got Pcars, I didn't have a PS4 compatible wheel, as I only had a crummy old DFGT that I used on PS3. I really didn't enjoy Pcars with a controller, as it just felt like it was too realistic to be enjoyable with the controller. Like I was missing out on most of what the physics had to offer. Obviously once I got my wheel, Pcars didn't leave my PS4 for months. Felt like a completely different game.

yeah well said and even if you have the h pattern shifter, makes driving the cars even more fun.

Well i had my usual trudge around Silverstone - not one of my favourite tracks,i just find it very flat and quite boring. I made the mistake of totally forgetting about the hard compounds in the race strategy,so i ran mediums and softs in the race and i ended up making a 3rd stop. I finished in 17th and its not a race i will remember - i struggled all race weekend.

Hamilton once again retired, hes only won once in the first 10 races, and he finds himself 4th in the standings so far!

I did manage to beat my TM Wehlein, who retired late on,he has not had good reliability so far!

Hungary next, which is one of the better tracks imo,i enjoy racing there. Another tracks which can be hard on the tyres though.

Yeah I've always ground silverstone boring. Corners are good but the vibe is just bland. Same as hockenhiem, they literally killed it since they changed the layout.

Update: Still haven't found time to race russia yet, although qualifying pole and setting some good times in practice I'd say I'm pretty excited to run this track 👍

But once again, girlfriend, work, etc. keeps me way too busy, I miss being younger coming home and playing GT5 for hours on end :D

A four an a half year old and a 6 week old here. I still manage to find a few hours per night to myself, but at this point I'm severely sacrificing sleep to get some me time lol.

When I remember how much free time I used to have for games and stuff before I had a family:
You+got+me+op+right+in+the+feels+_07cd144148021d7b97d3cf41a60ffb3a.jpg
Yeah i'm a creature of the night also for the exact same reason :D
That moment when it's past 10PM and you say to yourself 'just an hour or two', and you end up with 5 hours of sleep yet again...

Driving standards by the AI seem to have the Verstappen mindset to battling, Massa's defence in this race was almost exactly the same lol.

So I'm finding that hard difficulty is too easy and expert is far too hard. I'm stuck
I started at Expert then it slowly became easy then I Moved to legend, at first it was too hard but the difficulty changes at each race and I find many races where I am competitive.

My career race in China turned to crap.
I couldn't work out why my engineer wanted me to pit with a lap and a half to go for SuperSofts, especially when I was running 2nd and keeping the 4.5sec gap back to third. Then I got a puncture coming onto the long straight.
I dropped to 4th but it would have been 5th had Hamilton not smashed into the back of me and DNF'ed. Kimi has gone back-to-back, oddly.

Onto the next round :)

Do human players get failures etc I've done 2 seasons with manor on full distance all other cars seem to fall like flies but not my manor its bullet proof apparently!

once a flat tire (debree and not tire wear, I hope ;) ) but no mechanical failures so far. I assume the devs first want you to feel comfortable with the game and then in the later seasons you will also have to deal with failures??
