F1 Championship

Im doing it now and i've just finished my stint round the HSR.
B-Specy's taking over.
My Tip: Start in A-Spec and get a good lead, the AI find it difficult to overtake and so does your B-Spec driver.

I found this out the hard way with 14 laps left on the new York track and 35seconds to catch up, but i did it and im proud :)

I just finished this last night and it took about a week to do with a mix of A-Spec and B-Spec. I had to pit more often than the other guys during the race ( like 10 times compared to their 7). I start with A-Spec for about half the race then hand it over to Grandma to finish it up for me. I usually lap the field only about 2 times over the course of the race. Knowing the course will help a lot since these drivers you are up against aren't from GT3. This is a series that I will do again!!!

For this race, just make sure you qualify for each race. For some races though , you may be able to go 2 put stops for the comp and make it just one. I've did a few, just don't do it on the Nurb! Just not worth it.

Aspec the whole thing here.
Used the Minolta and won everything but Cote D'Azur.
The F1's were to fast for me on the flats near the end of the lap.
A great challenge using an LMP instead of the typical F1.

Was the car fully tuned (Turbo 4)? or stock. There is no way you can beat Formula GT with stock Minolta. Check my signature...5 sec difference.

That is so true. If you B-spec driver starts at the end, there will ALWAYS be a couple of really slow opponents blocking him. In the meantime, the 1st AI are is pulling farther and farther away! By the time you driver makes it to 3rd or 2nd place, eventhough he may be faster, there may not be enough laps remaining to win :guilty:
thats the exact same problem i have with GT All Stars
i can't catch up

I beat the Formula GT Championship with the Playstation Pescarolo C60 Race Car(all races done with A-Spec).It was fully tuned of course. It was quite challenging but on some of the tracks they made too many mistakes granting me an easy victory.I tried to do this championship with the F1 car but i was too fast with it.It would have become too boring driving 60 laps without any competition so i choose an LMP car wich proved to be an ideal matchup.

Thanks Old Geezer!
Yeah the Minolta was tuned-up for most races.
I had to remove the Turbo on LaSarthe due to insane instability near the end of the Mulsanne.....even with my straightaway- tweaked suspension setting.
Had to run the races with super-hards in the rear to stay slightly ahead in the pit cycle.
(They would pit on 10, I'd pit on 12).
I handed them their asses on most races being up by 30+ seconds in some cases due to the pitting strategy.
Monaco was a wash however....there was nothing I could do to keep up with them on the last quarter of the lap.
Did it with a dual-shock too!

So far I haven't been doing any qualifying at all - I find it more interesting to work my way up from the back - I drive much better and faster if I'm having to chase someone down - on the endurance races for GT3 I usually gave the other cars a lap or 2 head start to liven things up - sailing off into the lead tends to bore me and I just end up counting down how many more laps I have to do rather than enjoy the racing.

Which brings me to my question - does the amount of A-Spec points differ if you start first rather than last?

Finished F1 last night, it took me over a week in real time. I only did the first 10 races, and had enough points to win. I think pitting is the key if you start in last position. I can't wait to drive the Sauber! 👍

Just out of curiosity...How fast is the Minolta there? I got the Toyota GT One (Black/Used) to 264 MPH thru the "Kink" (Un-Chicaned Version) 'till the HP went away. After that couldn't get but about 258-259. :irked: Still a "Handfull" though!

WOW! How are those Thumbs? 👍 👎 ?? ...O.G. :D

if you have 6k+ b spec points, it shouldnt be a problem. just identify his weak spots on certain tracks and guide him through it. if you get 80-90 points, you should win. So you can skip some races.

Can someone please explain me what "guiding the B-spec. trough corners" is?

Cheers,

LONG LIVE THE TWIDDLERS!!! 👍

Good Job! I'm finding portions of this game a bugger with the DS2 and usually the challenges for the DS2 and me include both the FGT and LMP cars. Nice to see someone accomplish this!

Maybe I'm struggling with control on the DS2 cause I'm gettin' old... hmmm...

Cheers,

I'm thinking they are referring to changing the aggression setting from higher to lower (ie: 5 to 3/2/1) on certain sections of the track to keep Mr B-Spec out of the marbles. Then speeding him back up in other areas to make up time. That sort of thing.

this took me 9-10 hours, i B-Speced most of it, i just took the first stint then left my B-Spec driver to do it.
He got faster as the race went on.

Yes, when you pit change 'Driving Mode' from A-spec to B-spec (or vice versa).

Cool, thanks 👍

How many laps are there in each race of the GT World Championship in Pro Hall?
I'm planning on racing it with an AMG Merc. CLK-GTR Race Car 1031 bhp + nos.Is the car good enough for this competition?

Cheers,

About 60-70 laps per race of which there are 15.
Not sure amout AMG merc depends about your driving skill

What I don't get is how the Super Speedway race in the GT Championship is longer than the Super Speedway Endurance.
WTF were PD on.

In your response I think you are thinking of the F1 Championship because this is the Forum for that.

In the GT World Championship there are fewer and only 10 races:

Tokyo 10 laps
Superspeedway 21 laps
Hong Kong 18 laps
Seoul 19 laps
El Capitan 11 laps
NY 15 laps
Opera Paris B 18 laps
Suzuka 9 laps
Grand Valley 11 laps
Sarthe 1 4 laps

BTW... For most the Merc is a fail at that series.

Yeah I read it in some forums but I'll give it a try anyway. One more question then I'll stop bothering you all:

What's the best car for lightweight cup?Do I need to modd the car full?

Cheers,

BTW:Just foure cups before I can participate in the GT World Championship:Leightweight Series, Spiders & Roadsters, World Compct car and World Classics.

Wich cars + wich mods would you use? I haven't got a clue wich cars I'm gonna use.

Just finished on Suzuka last night, which is tons of fon to drive in the F1. Can't wait to take that Sauber out. I'll have to go back and do some of the races again in a non-F1 car later. Retired from 4 races, A-speced about 90%. Used DS2, Cheez-its, and water.

Whats the first thing I did with my Sauber?
Took pictures of it!
Here she is at the end of the Mulsanne under heavy braking.
Notice the headers belchin' Zeus!

Hello all, I'm new to this site but I wanted to reply to this thread. You can most definitely win the formula cup with the r92cp or the minolta(sorry, I haven't tried the other LM cars). My choice was the R92cp(I love this car). Since I haven't had much time this week I single raced most of this championship and I have no doubt that these cars can win this event. When I started, I wanted to get a feel for the speed of the F1 cars so I placed my stock R92 in last position to see if I could catch up.The track was Nurburgring and a little bit after the second quarter, I passed them all and kept a siginificant lead. It's a great fun challenge, and I wish good luck to those who are about to try this path.

I'm currently on race number 8 with 73 points so far and it looks like I'll be getting 2nd or 3rd on this race (I messed up my pit strategy in the beginning when switching to B Spec). I should be able to win this one pretty easily (nearest person only has 40 points.

well i finished mine at night cause i am not allowed to play PS2(my dad says its bad for you, LITTLE kids stuff, i dont get it either) I did 5 races with the F1 yesterday and finished the rest all through the night i havent gotten any sleep since than, right now im working and i have it on b-spec doing 8hr motegi, started at 8:30.

the races were fairly easy but i skipped a couple due to loss of time thought i would win without then anyways. I got 6th in Infinion raceway because i fell asleep for like ten minutes and forgot i was racing they had almost overlapped me.

I did all the races in b-spec and fast forwarded had it most of the time in push or in fast.

Man im tired!my visiion blurry

I've won each race so far-- b-spec\a-spec 50\50 --I'm going to try and get 8 & 9 done tonight, and finish out tomorrow night. I don't forsee any prob's winning all 15 races.

I used a-spec until the first pit then let b-spec take over, my b-spec guy just can't win some races
After 14 races i was 4 points behind 'A' so i had to win the last race and he had to finish 3rd, i started the race off got into 1st place but 'A' was in second 💡

soooo i had to ram him off the road and then get back into first place which i did, i won and he ended coming 6th 👍

bad tactics but had to be done after 14 races!
