please let me know of any errors or omissions. đź‘Ť (Not that I'm likely to make any! :dunce:)

Edit: @ Fuffball, well maybe just one mistake. Fixed, sorry.

You're not likely to make any mistakes...with anyone's name or anything..........

With only 3 weeks left, and with the fact that I'm never going to catch Zed and when fishfash turns up I have no were near any sort of pace to keep him at bay, I dont mind sharing my setups. I'll probably have a rough one up later tonight. Dont get you hopes up, I'm not great and not too many people find my setups helpful.

đź‘Ť. Anything would be good for me. I came back to F1 after a long hiatus and I read that link that was posted about setups (good read btw) but I still really don't know the suspension and brake setups. I've found that I'm a little faster with front bias, but I had no idea on a track like Indy where I moved it back to 40/60 (from 60/40) it really improved my time.

Only 3 weeks left. Bummer!

I've noticed a mistake, I should be on 124 points. If you get double points for your first race, I should therefore be getting an extra 4 points rather than 2.

Ok ,I hope to get another crack at this on Sunday, but a had a quick go and I'm not happy with it as there is a lot more time to achieve.

Imola Toyota

1.19.729 18.193/28.900/32.636

The Toyota sounds and feels a whole lot less refined than the Ferrari, well done to the makers of F1:CE.

Right sorry that was a big mistake, I hadn't noticed that that was your first week. Hopefully thats all. đź‘Ť
Sorry if you feel I had been a bit harsh towards you, I think it was just because the series was new then and I thought it would be best to enforce the rules fully then. Then when the first problem with Alireza's time arose a few weeks ago I thought that I would give him the benefit of the doubt, especially as it had become clear at that stage that this competition was really only between the a few of us regulars. At that point I had completely forgotten about week 3 and then I just done the same this week. I've tried to be fair but obviously in this case I was not and I'm completely to blame. I hope that you have not felt hard done by or whatever over the past few weeks. Sorry again. :guilty:

I'm also looking forward to this stats sheet you are making and would like to offer whatever help I can. đź‘Ť

Edit: @ Sumpington; It will probably be Wednesday before I have a half decent setup posted, I might post one tomorrow morning but it'll be nothing special.

Here's my provisional time...

Imola / Toyota

1:19.265 , 18.094 / 29.116 / 32.055 Fluffball

Strange thing happened...The "best lap" time in the top left corner of the screen said 1:19.264 and yet the time in the garage said 1:19.265...Also,i get a lot of 00.000 green sector times...Weird!!

Dear All,

Thanks for all the words,
Ill post the picture and ill post the setup later tonight,

Sumpington was right, i corrected a lot of the understeer that Shaggy mentioned by bringing the brake bias to exactly 50/50 which is what i set the time with:

I'll send the setup later this week,

Best Regards
Alireza

Awesome, 2 Points! Hell to the yeah!

Anyways, I better attempt go and attempt a few laps at Imola then, could be a help as I am Toyota in my career mode atm, maybe somehow, someway it'll help me get a better time......but maybe not :D. Anyways i'm rambling now lol. Never been amazing at Imola either, which is a darn shame because I like the track.

Im in for it lads. could somebody please pm the details of this weeks competition
Cheers!

Its all in the first post. I see no need to PM them to you. We are using the Toyota in Imola on any offline mode you wish. Times must be legally registered by the game, ie no red times you must be able to produce a photo of the time if necessary however we will only ever ask the winner for this proof. Finally the deadline is 9 pm GMT on Sunday the 23rd of November.

Good luck to you. đź‘Ť

No, don't worry about it mate. I was a bit miffed at the time but then I realised the only reason I was so miffed was because I'm the only person who's in direct competition with Alireza for the 'championship' and that's now gone barring some strange occurrence, so that's just a result of me feeling competitive. I'm just extra motivated to attempt to win the remaining 3 rounds, although I find it highly doubtful that that would be possible, especially as I'm very average at Istanbul.

Something I just thought I could play around with for the stats I'm producing would be to find out who has been using automatic gears and who has been using manual. I'm aware that fishfash, Zed, Biggles and I think now Alireza all use manual. Has there been anyone else? If everyone could state what gears they've been using, or if you've changed gears at some stage as well let me know, and if possible what round you changed them from.

Thanks.

I've been using auto and the sixaxis now and always have been, despite a bad attempt at moving to manual a few months ago in the online championship.

Edit: Just after doing a few laps, got a 1.17.2. I will post the setup after a bit of fine tuning. Although looking at the times mentioned so far, I'm surprisingly quick! :sly: I know it'll not last. :indiff:

I'm pretty sure Sabbagh is sandbagging, very suprised how slow Zed was though. Btw Genius, currently your stats stack up favourably against Zed in terms of how well you're both doing on average per lap. Though I think Zed is starting to close in.

Manual gears here using the dualshock 3.

Thanks for the info. If everyone else could post their preference for the end of season stats I'm compiling that would be appreciated đź‘Ť

Thanks for bursting my bubble :grumpy:, joke!

Anyway here's what I've managed so far:

1.16.861, 17.331/28.206/31.324, GT4genius

And here is the setup, I've put it in this spoiler text for those who dont want to see it and want to use their own ideas. But remember this coupled with my skills or lack of, is probably only going to be good enough for 4th or 5th. :guilty:

Tires:
Dry
Soft
Front: 15psi
Rear: 10 psi

Traction Control:
75%

Wings:
Front: 50%
Rear: 50%

Suspension:
Front: 9
Rear: 10

Camber:
Front: -1.8
Rear: -1.5
Toe: 0.018

Ride Height: 22mm

Anti-Roll:
Front: 34000
Rear: 134000

Damping: default

Speed:
Acceleration but adjust 7th to 7.4

Brakes:
60:40

I know it seems like I left a lot of stuff standard, but when I went out on the track the first time it all seemed to suit, so I left it.

I hate to say it, but you guys are really missing out: not using a wheel for F1CE. There's nothing like rattling round the track in cockpit view with the Buttkicker vibrating your ass/arse!

It would be interesting to know all of the following:

Controller used (G25)
View used (Cockpit)
Manual or automatic. (Manual)

I have no ability with the sixaxis at all, but I can see that in F1CE (unlike GT5P, for instance), it might be possible to drive as fast or faster with a controller as with a wheel, as there is a lot less "feel" to the handling.

I'm also curious to know how much time, in total, you each have put into the game, & how much time you are putting into each week's TT.

For myself, I seem to have 190 hours in F1CE, but I have a feeling this does not include (many) unfinished events, which don't register in the total? Last week's Indy TT, I put in about 3 hours, but this was after already running a practice/qualifying/race in World Championship mode.

As I am also playing GT5P & FC:TP I just don't have the time to dedicate to hours of TT in F1CE. The thing I like most about F1CE is the actual racing & I feel hours of TTs start to squeeze some of the fun out of the game. Qualifying for the GTP GT5P register, I put in about 5 hours of TT on Suzuka in the F430 - it almost made me crazy & at the end of it I didn't go back to GT5P again for several weeks! (I understand that Rudi - probably the fastest GTPer in GT5P puts in over 20 hours on some of the TTs )

no way !!!!

I cannot do a perfect lap and i could only do 1:17:9s at the time, but i know whats wrong with the setup and that i ca hopefully fix it in time to be competitive, (imsure theres 2 seconds in there !!!)
especially as I cant do the next race because im leaving for Italy to see the karting race in laconca from 25-30 december!!!

best regards
alireza

1:17.531 , 17.671/ 27.556/ 32.304 Sumpington

Thanks GT4 for the setup. đź‘Ť. I know there is a about a full second there in the 3rd sector, but this lap had pretty much a perfect 1st and 2nd sector (for me anyway), and I went a little conservative towards the end of the lap.

ok here is my last time before a 10 day trip:

1:15.586 16.953/27.011/31.622 Alireza Sabbagh

I have to say that I absolutely hate this track as you have to turn in ridiculously early and half throttle the exits to compenmsate for understeer. And you definately slide in the tamburello but u have to catch it to get a quick lap!!!!

I believe that this time will be easily beaten!!!

Best Regards
Alireza

Here is my time:-

1:14.982, 16.467/27.456/31.059, fishfash

There is another half second in there.

Set up:- Default
Tyres:- Soft
Manual Gears
G25 Wheel
T-Cam View

Problem with the G25 is that it only has 2 buttons on the wheel so it's extremely difficult to change TC/BB settings during a lap as you have to take one hand off the wheel.

The controller will be faster here or even a DFP or DFGT wheel.

:)

Ugh, soundly beaten yet again :(

1:15.622, 16.792/27.786/31.044, Shaggy Alonso

Seems I can't compete with the technical sophistication of either of these two. I mean, fish actually changes his traction control and brake balance settings mid lap, what on earth?! His first sector and Alireza's second sector are both just ridiculously fast. It's all getting a bit depressing :indiff:

Hi

Here's my time...

1.16.293, 17.181/27.937/31.175 SteveSpeed

Vary well done to those with sub 1.16.xxx, 1.15.xxx - incredible

The Tosa corner gets me everytime I get a sub 17 1st sector and its name is a fairly good description of what I drive like through there at the best of times! I'm sure there is a second in that corner alone if only I could get it right...

I was looking forward to spending a few hours trying to beat this time today but some unexpected guests have turned up...I doubt I would have beaten it anyway. I used all the practice time in a Grand Prix Weekend to get this and couldn't beat it in Saturday practice.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the setups so I can see whether that improves my time. I'm pretty sure I know where I am losing time but I haven't a clue where to adjust the setup to improve that.

I started off with icelt's setup and tweaked it a bit from there.

I use auto gears and ABS, 90% TC and no other aids and a G25.

This is the first driving game I have played since the Microprose F1 game on the Amiga and I'm completely addicted!

Well done everyone. So what's up next Genius?

I think we'll use the Honda around Catalunya, Spain this time round. I think this is the second last week. And I still havent even come close to wining. :guilty:

Congratulations to fishfash, again.

All shall be updated, as usual, a few hours or days after I've promised! :dunce:
