I don't think I'll be bothering the top of the time sheets, but still happy to join in 1:12:704 18:611/36:042/18:051 still not as clean as i'd like, but the setup is crucial, as the surface seems slippery even with high downforce.
Also could you explain the points, as I cannot workout how anyone can score those amounts of scores after 2 rounds?Even a 5th placer has managed twice the points(8) than that another 5th placer(4points). Not
being a whinger just want to understand.

Edit 1:11:744 18:331/35:622/17:791

I don't really understand it either, the leader has over 30 points. Surely the highest possible amount he can have is 26 points after two rounds for 2 fastest laps and 6 fastest sectors, which he didn't get?

EDIT: After two rounds, this is the way the table should read if I'm not mistaken:

Alireza Sabbagh - 24 points
GT4 Genius - 18 points
Alltidxx - 11 points
icelt - 11 points
Crooky - 4 points
Zed300 - 4 points
Gipfeli - 3 points

I just set the below time with the Default Set Up, the only thing I changed was Hard Tyres > Soft Tyres. 👍

1:09.454, 18.044/34.113/17.297 fishfash

On this lap I made a mistake on the first sector, and lost around 0.5 Sec against my best first sector. I had a look at the set ups but I rather spend the time racing rather than tinkering.

That's an absolutely insanely fast middle sector!

My time:

1:10.244, 18.510/34.443/17.291, Shaggy Alonso

I hope to improve my first sector by five tenths and try to match the rest of the lap before the deadline :nervous:

Totally ,absolutely, ballistic time, great effort Fishfash.

I agree with your maths on the points too Shaggy Alonso.

One more time from me. 👍

1:08.956, 17.612/33.798/17.546 fishfash

I think it's possible to get into the low 1:08's, if I hook them all up. None of the above sectors are my fastest.

Wtf? You sure that isn't online?

Actually a more reasonable question, do you use a steering wheel and manual gears?

Ok those are some insane times fish & shaggy

My new best:
1:11.629, 18.576/35.258/17.795 icelt

Edit---
Points wise I believe the first track was worth x2 on points as well as an extra point given to any driver with a fastest sector time.

Why?

That's a good time in a McLaren btw.

Think GT4 just wanted to give everyone extra incentive to participate.

Thank you Shaggy, but I just managed to better it a fair bit.

1:10.549, 18.459/34.146/17.944 icelt

I'm pretty certain that's gonna end up being my final entry, as I'm just pleased as punch to get into the 1:10's.

Yeah, icelt is right, the points for the first round were double the normal so as people would want to take part at the start, that is why some people have a large amount already. If you all wish I can change it, but I was using it as an incentive and now as a thank you for taking part in the first week.

Wow fishfash that was unreal, will definitly be expecting proof , we know from the championship that you are capable of such things.

I broke the 1:10 mark, think it was 1:09.7 but that was in a Ferrari. How he managed that time in a McLaren I don't really know.

Manual+steering wheel+super natural powers. Sadly I've seen it way too many times in the championship we're having.

I'll update the table a little later, Remember 4pm tomorrow evening, GMT+1.

Edit: New time, but better is still to come, I reckon maybe a 1.09,

1.10.524, 18.011/34.722/17.791, GT4genius

No need to change it ,that's all good.
Looks like I'll be working on 2ndsector,2 seconds is crazy.

Just to let you all know, 4 and a half hours remaining. So its get some laps in before the real gp and then a few after it. 👍

ok , I give up this is my final laptime

1:09.866 17.791/34.754/17.321 Alireza Sabbagh

I am really crushed !!! I cant figure out the second sector, I wanted to try the controller but i couldnt get any faster with the steering wheel,
I tried every trick in the book but kudos to fishfash thats a sensational lap !!!

1:09.925, 18.671/34.043/17.211, Shaggy Alonso

Am I right in saying that we have 1 more hour? 16:00 GMT + 1?

I need to put in a lap with a fast first sector! :nervous:

Yep Manual Gears and DFGT wheel, I am slower with the wheel though, for my driving style the Controller is faster :)

LOL GT4 genius, not sure about the super natural powers, thanks 👍

Dude, surely a wheel would help you no end, especially around long corners where you have to make subtle adjustments, like Massenet.

Check out this vid, the guy is clearly using a steering wheel and he's doing something funny with the gears, he carries soooo much speed into Massenet.

Even though my time is faster than Alireza's, I've been put third. Is this a mistake?

Yes that was a mistake. Sorry trying to do too many things at once here. I'll update the points in a minute.

Edit: Wait now, when did you complete that lap time you posted here, the rules do say you must post the lap before the deadline, so I'm wondering weather or not I should allow it.

Just look through the posts, if I'm honest i posted it a fraction after you posted that time was officially up. Then I should get 7 points instead of 9 and Alireza should get 8 instead of 6. I still got fastest 3rd sector.

I think I better do it that way, just to be fair. 👍

Agreed, I was just GUTTED that I only found that set up with the deadline looming. I had been using the acceleration gear ratio and only discovered later that the balanced one is faster, even though you never reach 7th gear. Just by using the balanced ratio it would have added nearly 2 tenths to each of my times.

I might try that. The table is updated now, it is highly likely to have mistakes so just take a look and point them out and I'll change it.

1.11.562, 18.492/35.325/17.745 Gipfeli

I only got that time by turning ABS on... I have a hard time with the break pedal...

Obviously I cant count your time, it must be posted before the deadline, sorry.

I will have next weeks up in a few hours, take note of the deadline, everyone.
