I just want more info about the CSS, or at least the status so that I can order my gears altogether. We've seen the new wheels, we've seen the CSHB, no sign on what everyone's anticipating...

The T500rs shifter is M.I.A. as well. Is it difficult to make a good shifter? I mean like, harder to make a shifter then a wheel or perhaps they dont make much money off of shifters

All I want is a good shifter. If I can only use it on my PC then that's fine I'll go with the Thrustmaster one, but how can they develop multiple new wheels, pedal sets etc and not even have the CSS done? I want a good shifter to go along with my GT2 wheel..that's all lol. Somebody give it to poppa already!

What is relly funny is that those Shifters reveals were a done deal for this E3 but the only thing we got was a spy photo.

Well I have mixed feelings....
This is partially a personal note to Thomas as well.

Firstly I say congratulations...
Very impressed with the new range of products and we certainly have had a MAJOR surprise by what all we have been shown. It seems very obvious Fanatec have put thier RD resources into what matters for the company, further increased sales and I have no issues with that at all.

Of course sales of new wheels/pedals and the continued collaboration with T10 can only ensure Fanatec have increased credibility and become more of a success. We have to ask from a business perspective how important is a 7 Speed H gate shifter in the sales and revenue it will generate over the standard shifters? Also it may be something thats quite hard to develop and manufacture to the required quality/pricepoint.

Now what I do feel odd is when Thomas, you yourself stated on these forums you were for showcasing the CSS @ E3. Understandably you couldnt state what "was going to be shown" but it does seem to of caused some people to be annoyed having waited so long on this and it be the thing that actually doesnt appear, hell we even get a handbrake.

I look forward to an upcoming report on Fanatecs new products and more details on how in particular the dual motors work on the "Elite".

Thrustmaster T500RS, you look to be slip streamed and overtaken :)

What´s the rounded wheel on the left of the picture?. The Clubsport range model?.

I´m sure (without try its) that none of the new Fanatec wheels will have a best value for money than T500 RS (the production & sales policy will not allow it), and doubt even that one is better, including more expensive models.

The best value for this new wheel range will be the FM4 and the 3-systems compatibility.

Im not as many arnt concerned so much about value.
If the Elite wheel and new pedals offer a higher ended performance over the T500RS package then Im interested.
However even it just about equals the T500RS performance now we can enjoy FM4 to the same level as with GT5.
I bought a T500RS soley for PS3 and GT5 so I have little issue considering a new high end FM4 wheel.

Fanatec already topped T500rs in a way if we're talking tech / multiplatform value. They have the load cell brakes, shifter, multiplatform, etc. Their achilles' heel was always the customer service & never having the GT2s in stock. That's what they need to fix

Granted, I do want the racing style wheel (CSR line) but I could less if it has more FFB, more precision, etc. Hell in iRacing my FFb is turned down to like 14/100. So if you got yer t500rs maxed FFB in a console game then its the software- not the T500rs wheel. At this point I suspect we will only see incremental improvements

Anyway, #1 Fanatec better make sure these wheels are ready to be shipped and available. no more excuses. no more delays. Give us accurate dates. Plan for US customs delays, etc and include in your estimates. So when people order these CSR wheels we dont get messed around 👍

---------------

It would be nice if T500rs users could use our brakes with the CSR. But #1 just make them available. By the time these new wheels are ready i suspect I'll already have some CSPs. Was waiting to see if TM would announce load cell brake addons at E3 but they not announce so thats that - edit

But the real issue is not so much what you've just brought up but the quality of the FFB especially when playing GT5 or even iRacing. In that department, none of the current Fanatec wheel is up to snuff.

^^ you'll find a lot more complaints everywhere from people bout not getting their Fanatecs at all though. Most seem super happy once they finally get it 👍 {assuming there wasn't any technical issues though}

One more thing on the CSR Pedals from http://www.engadget.com and http://www.fanatecwheel.com.

They will probably be a good alternative for everyone not willing to spend too much money on Clubsport pedals and they actually have one extra feature. With an optional kit you will be able to flip the them easily (reverse mounting) and it will be possible to flip each pedal separately (look at the photo below).

http://www.fanatecwheel.com/news/engadget-information-about-csr-pedals

Good news! You'll be able to reverse mount the pedals without switching up any wires!

Fanatec has always showed great R&D; their products are superb.
Now, their logistics are terrible; we all know the stories.
I can't understand why they start showcasing a new wheel if they haven't been able to put the GT2 productions/sales/shipping together.
Putting so many wheels out there in a short period of time could be their dead.

SO is it just the GT2 at this moment? Maybe there are so many orders now that people are getting really excited over FM4? DOes anybody have problems about the GT3 RS and shipping?

I believe the GT3rs wheel is in stock and relatively easy to get ahold of. I think the big hold up on the GT2 was some production issues that had to be mitigated, including a power supply problem (in particular, the US power supply).

The CSR pedals have potmeters instead of Hall sensors like the CSP. does this mean that the CSR pedals are going to be compatible with the G27?

kikie

I dont see why not.
You would have to reverse engineer the G25/27 adapter that Fanatec provide.

I think the CSR pedals look nicer than the CSP.
Well I prefer their finish and although I thought a V2 Clubsports were likely cant say I was that far off.

Im not so sure the Hall Sensors are a massive advantage, particulary to people like me who play on consoles mainly.

What I meant to say was that with the CSP, they don't work when connected to the G27 wheel. Thomas said so. The G27 wheel can't handle the digital signal from the CSP.
With the CSR (= potmeters), they probably are going to be compatible with the G27 wheel. Fanatec probably needs to develop an adapter for it.

Forza 4 vid from ISR:

Haven't watched yet, but spotted new Fanatecs

Seems to be more about FM4 though. Fanatec only briefly mentioned so far. ISR promises a Fanatec review but didnt say when....

Sorry this vid doesn't seem to cover anything we don't know already in regards to the new CSR wheels -edit

Did I miss something, or is there no mention anywhere of the clubsport shifter?
