I don't know if I would say best on the planet, but it's going to be very very good.

Thomas said recently that he still felt confident that it could be available in April. So perhaps a pre-order will come up this month?

Now I feel very happy again ..... thanks superbike81

Yeah, I still don't quite understand how he's going to do it, but Thomas said over in the iRacing forums that April is still a very good possibility, and that was only about a week or so ago that he said that.

So I'm guessing it will be a pre-order thing. But don't take that as a fact, just my guess.

Who knows? I have no idea myself. I am no psychic either unfortunately. However after we waited so long (initial promised date was December 2011), I am sure we can wait that bit longer. Like I said in my theory basically, I just don't see it happening schedule wise. However if I am wrong we will know in the next... 14 days ish?

Last "fortune cookie" I opened seemed to show May would deliver/bring rays of sunshine and smiles.

We will see...
The beach doesn't seem to have too many sunbathers just yet, though soon I'm sure some will be laying down their towels to secure theirs.

The CSR elite was available for pre order before the review embargo was lifted.

I expect the same for the CSW. The community reviewers should have their wheels somewhere around week 3 of april, so a preorder in week 4 of april is still a possibility

You are too optimistic. The pre-order opened in the same week the last reviewer got his equipment. I was one of the very first along with amf7 to start the rounds. So the first winner will be known this Saturday but the last poll should close halfway next week I reckon at the earliest. Then you still need to take time for shipment into account before the last reviewer gets his stuff. If customs are bad again I can't see any pre-orders starting before the end of the month.

I think that is a bit optimistic. I would say May is the month. If any major problems are found, Thomas could (and should) delay the release.

Since the reviewers are going to have 2 weeks at least to prepare their reviews and no reviewer has received a sample yet I assume that the earliest the CSW would be available for pre-orders is going to be mid May or early June.

Maybe i'm just as optimistic as Thomas always is :) LOL :)

I think Thomas said that they won't do preorders any more in usual sense and they only start selling when they actually can ship the products.

Fanatec...
My glass is always half full :)

My glass is always full, no matter if there is a liquid or a solid in there. It is always full with a mixture of gasses we call air. On top of that in between every molecule of this air it is filled with 99.9% space.
Now this is what I call being realistic. ;)

Anyway, you still have a chance with pre-orders. However I don't see them having a unit at home this month, this will definitely become late May by my estimations. Good luck with the race towards your set deadlines though. ;)

A little OT but I love the scene in I am Legend when this is playing.

Optimism leads to success.

I disagree. I could start a company today and register it with the chamber of commerce and tax office, then get a lot of stuff. However if I can't pay for it because I didn't get a loan from the bank that I optimistically reckoned I'd get without much issue, well... then I am in deep ****.

Like Ali G his slogan was in his movie "in da house"... he said "keep it real!". So optimism is good, but you have to stay realistic about it. ;)

Actually even a Rastafarian keeps it real, at least Bob Marley did.

But ehm... at least as long as the product isn't on the market you won't go bankrupt. And that said, here is a song to go with I said ish...

But if you are a pessimist, you wouldn't be starting a business to begin with.

Hence you have to be a realist, the balance of both. To go spiritual with it... the ying can't do without the yang and vica versa.

My previous boss had a horrible time trying to comprehend this "being a realist" thing and failed while getting angry in the process. lol

You need to be optimistic at all times but you have to be able to admit your own mistakes and judge things realistically.

As they say - you need to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. I think nobody was born a president, an astronaut or a rock star, no, for this you need to work hard and believe that your work will lead you to something better and let me assure you it will.

How about keeping more to the topic and less on Jesus videos.

Actually Jesus wasn't a Buddhist (actually it has to do more with the solar system, but meh...) and the necessary balance has been a proven fact scientifically through sacred geometry (hint: flower of life).

On topic: I am sure that we will all have to wait no matter how long we discuss the launch date topic, wait for Thomas to say "now it is ready hard and software wise for launch".

CSR Elite ordered yesterday, can not sleep this night, thinking about how to hard mount it on a G25 wheel stand pro.

Too happy to stop reading post about Fanatec wheels, now I will enjoy it myself.

My wife and daughters do not unsterstand why am I jumping every where after ordering, so I have to share with peoples who understand ;)

Yes I am 35 and as Senna said : "adults are kids, it is the size of their toys that change" (or some thing approaching)

The way I understand it is: "The only difference between men and boys, is the price of their toys."

And here is an example of a man's toy very few kids could afford:

Congrats on your purchase. I hope you will enjoy it for a long time to come. :)
Few questions you might enjoy answering... When is it due to arrive at your doorstep? What paddles have you got with it? Bought some shifters too?
Anyway, I hope you can easily hard mount it to the WSP. ;)

Same setup here currently with its big brother mounted. Even fewer kids could afford mine I guess. lol

You have got the setup I dream about, but it is not wife compatible (so the Wheel Stand Pro is the best compromise). I have been living in Québec for 18 months and thinking about buying a house, so there is a very nice thing about north america houses : their basement -> perfect place for the man's cave and a rSeat Evo :)
So maybe with a house, I will purchase a decent seat (@Fanatec : Did you imagine that playing with your "toys" is an argument to buy a house !!!)

Congrats on your purchase. I hope you will enjoy it for a long time to come. :)

I will use my G25 pedals until I can buy Clubsport Pedals (v2 ?). I think about adding a loadcell but think the clubsport pedals will be better. And then I will waiting for the clubsport shifter. Without the G25/27 pedals compatibility, it had been very hard to change every thing at the same moment (CSR wheel + Clubsport Pedals => 700+ $/€). It is very clever to build a range of compatible products that you can improve. Of course I am very interested in a "BMX GT fanatec wheel" for the CSR (I choose not to wait for clubsport wheel because I really have fun with Forza 4 so a 360 wheel is very important to me).
