Hi all. Wanted to share my latest update video on my rig w/ CSR Elite and triple-screen 3D projection. I had tried to apply for CSR Elite community tester here a few months ago, but came in 4th (top 3 got to test the wheel, and all winners were well deserved.)

Anyway, I sold a few older sim-gear items and purchased the retail CSR Elite on my own, but would love to test the CSW against it as well. This is especially so since I have started to focus more on the PC games lately (given my penchant for good 3D titles especially.)
So here is my latest video update:

If any of you are members of the Inside Sim Racing (ISR) forums, there is still a CSW wheel beta tester poll ongoing there. Please send a vote my way if you can, and I'll be sure to do a good comparison between the CSW and the Elite and older Porsche Fanatec wheels as well. Thread to vote is here. Thanks.

Hey Mike, Nice video; thanks for posting that 👍
I'm looking to upgrade my displays to three projectors so it's always nice to see other peoples rigs using a similar setup. Looks good mate and I like that Track-IR gizmo too :)

You got my vote :)
I know I will stick to my initial plan and wait for my csr elite because I want to play to Forza 4 with a wheel but I am very curious about how an Elite and a Clubspot Wheel compete.

Imho Forza is too weak on ffb. Too bad Elite doesnt have the option to go above %100 ffb strength settings like CSW. Another reason I sold my Elite and waiting for CSW. Not the wheels fault though. CSR Elite is one amazing wheel!

Maybe FM5 will do better :)

And I still have GT5 for nice FFB (I am still amazed by this game, even after hundred hours, the Nurburgring is so good...)

Thanks! It looks like it's going to be close; hopefully I don't miss out by a nose again. Appreciate your vote. Here is a quick rough edit with my thoughts on the CSR Elite I just uploaded:

Already seen, are you sure CSR Elite can receive additionnal hardware (iPhone/android rack), I was thinking it is only for Clubsport Wheel ?

Good question- what I was referring to is the threaded inserts are there to mount your own device. So no, nothing the wheel would directly communicate with, but if your sim of choice (i.e: rFactor or iRacing) supports smart phone apps, I see no reason one couldn't rig a mount onto this wheel (or a future one Fanatec may sell) to hold the phone. The mounting points appear to be the same on both wheel bases...

PS- it's been correctly pointed out to me that these vids would be better @ 720p or higher res. That was my intent but something was off in the camera or iMovie settings- my cam does 720p so I'll be sure to double-check that is how it's uploaded in the future!

I'm trying to show my friend that the CSW will be able to support a rally style shifter in the future, but I couldn't find a video to show him.
The ones that were mostly on the the right side of the wheel that went forward and backwards with just a flick of your fingers... anyone know what i'm talking about.

If anyone knows which rally cars had this so I could pull up a video it would be appreciated.

Take a look at my post on page 278, https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6969019#post6969019

Your picture link did not work, but the car you posted is one of the cars with the Sequential shifter that goes forward and back.2006 Subaru Impreza WRC.

I Hope Fanatec does manufacture the rally style shifter for the CSW, because nobody else makes one. :( And also the Hand Brake. :D

More news: now pCARS seems to support an on-wheel gear indicator on the CSR Elite's LED tuning menu! Check out the quick video I made last night:

lol..I tried pCars for the first time in ages last night and was really chuffed to see the gear indicator 👍

Fanatec said "If connected directly to the Porsche wheels the pedals will work with all racing games on PC and consoles if the wheel itself is compatible." what did they mean "if the wheel itself is compatible" ????

I have a question for Thomas : could it be possible that the first Clubsport Wheel batch comes to north america before the next CSR Elite batch ?

Ok I know there is a weak chance that I get an answer because I think Fanatec will release the Clubsport Wheel "When it's done" :)

Good news for CSW testers. From Thomas's blog:

Almost all polls are closed so we are almost ready to start ROUND 4 of the community test for our new ClubSport Wheel and ClubSport Pedals V2.

Let the tests begin!

We have received the air shipment of the ClubSport Wheels with rims along with brand new ClubSport Pedals V2. I will show you more details about this pedal very soon but you can also expect to see some reviews as well if some testers decide to test them.

Sean will now start to ask all testers what equipment they like to test.

Congratulations to all winners of the polls! It was a close call in many forums and we have a lot of very interesting reviewers.

It's getting better and better this year. Next on the list to test will be the CSS then guys. So I am sure even people who aren't testers but look forward to the CSS will like this news very much. 👍
