Is this a GTP manner? I've posted comments on it regarding switching the positions of brake and clutch pedals (as a whole). Or removing the clutch altogether and then moving the brake over. Apparently, Thomas has not incorporated such a feature into the new CSP? It would make Fanatec stand out amongst the competition for one more reason.

I can only assume Thomas is communicating with PD to have full support for Fanatec wheels. Not being able to utilize the same software that Thrustmaster is, will hold back the CSW from its full potential. As it will still be emulating Logitech's software drivers. Hopefully I'm wrong and it's all about the wheel and not restricted by software.

Seriously though, the driver from Logitech is not bad at all. It's how the firmware in the wheel translates the signals into the correct FFB effects that matters. Though native support would be much appreciated of course, I know that much.

Yep. Software wise if there was/is no problem with the csre, there is no problem with the CSW.

I will have videos, but not until after the weekend. My report will also not be ready tomorrow. Probably Monday, here. I won't post here until it has been on the ps boards for a day or so.

I plan on doing a helmet cam walk through of all its functions and parts. I will also include some gameplay. I did not do an unboxing video because, honestly, I think they are lame. That being said, fanatec really out did themselves with packaging.

I'll have a text review of all the equipment and a comparison between the CSP V2 and my heavily modded G27 pedals.

I have pics of the Fanatec equipment, my rig. I also have helmet cam and tripod video of me playing various games, for the games they were all played using the new CSW and CSP V2.

I do a text comparison comparing gameplay Between the CSP V2, CSP V1, and my modded G27 pedals. Also comparison between old Turbo S wheel, CSR E, and the CSW.

I'm sorry I don't have as many pics as logi, but I've tried my best with the limited time I have. I do hope you'll enjoy the helmet cam vids. Review will be up later tomorrow.

Thanks and enjoy Logi's in the meantime. :)

Text reviews are great, but please put it on a separate website. Reading LONG reviews on a forum is always annoying because of the limited ability for text formatting.

Just post a link in the forum and use Google Sites or something else quick and simple.

:)

Looking forward to your review Mayaman especially the comparison between:

CSP V1 vs CSP V2
CSR Elite vs CSW

👍

I'm not sure I've ever done that, I'll try. My review is not 42 pages though ;)

Yeah, I understand, but using Google to make your webpage is really easy, so maybe at least give it a shot. But I'll still read and enjoy your review if you post a big wall of a text on here, it just doesn't flow as well without the formatting.

Thanks, I tried to be as detailed and to the point as possible. Wanted to keep people from falling asleep. I think between all the reviewers on this site and others, we'll have a great balance of viewpoints and videos.

My helmet cam videos are pretty bananas. Some are better than others just because I again had to duct tape the camera to my head.

Can anyone tell me how to get past the ten minute YouTube limit?

Post a bunch of videos. You get more freedom the more you post. Even though YouTube has upped my limit to 15 minutes, the damned iPhone does not abide by that!

Have any of the testers tried mapping the wheel as a dfgt on gt5? Because if your not bothered about shifters suretly you could use one of the rotary shifters to operate the in race menu that a dfgt can operate?

*YAWN!* I will probably hit the sack early tonight, because I want to be awake to full enjoy those grid girls at the MotoGP grand prix of the Netherlands. Those grid girls that Thomas was so rude not to include as incentive for us reviews. *grumbles like an old man*

I will give you guys a small review I did not tend to release as part of the review then. I am probably the first guy that did a mod on the CSPv2 on this planet, or one of the first at least. Also it's just too much of a hassle to translate the PDF into forum text. So I want to take my time with that over the weekend. However the PDF is just 6.3MB and has good enough quality pictures still. It is already uploaded to my server and I hope you guys won't eat up my 5GB a month bandwith. lol

btw, Mayaman. My review is kind of simple still. So feel free to steal the spotlight. :D

Though Berhnhard (one of the CSW developers) liked my review. Sean's first thoughts were "too long" but that quickly changed with the amount of pics, nice read and text size. ^_^

Post the link already!!! :) I need to get in there before we all crash your server

Chris if you start using your bandwidth I could host the PDF on my site if necessary :)

Mayaman you could do the same if you wish so people don't have to read it on a forum :)

puuh, the day has come :)
here is a first video of the CSW Formula Rim in action in pCARS (which is one of the few games which actually supports REV lights but more to come) :)
