Any news on the wheel rims they said they were going to release for the CSR (non-elite)?

I clearly remember a Fanatec video saying that they will release rims for the CSR E as well as the CSR ( but not nearly as many for the CSR as the E)

I think you remember wrong. I think they said that CSW will have many rims but some will also come for CSR-E.

I actually quite like the look if it...

It will be interesting to compare the two... And then try and compare the CSW to csr elite...

Probably the biggest difference will be the price, 90 Euro more for the Elite

You pay 40 more at the moment because they are airfreight models at the moment I guess as original price should be 499. So it's only a 50€ difference, and with that difference you actually have 2 rims and xbox license which costs alot as we know.

CSW F1 Rim 180 Euro
CSR Elite F1 Rim 180 Euro

:odd::odd:

Here is a quote Thomas said in his blog

We actually would have to charge more for this rim as we need to amortize development cost of a smaller amount of units. We expect that we will sell much for formula rims for the CSW.

I think the CSR Elite will stay 539,-. If more than half a year after the introduction the "airfreight raise" has not dropped, i doubt it will ever drop.

On his blog Thomas, stated that the CSW introduction offer we be: the unit will be offered with "free" airfreight (which amounts to 100 dollar/euro per base + wheel)

So you can expect the CSW to be raised with that amount any time soon (after the introduction) and looking at the CSR Elite, it will probably stay there for a very VERY long time

Yeah, but usually they ship things here and next shipment should already be on a boat, so they can't ask for something they are not paying for. We'll see.

I don't expect the price to go up...

I beleive that the air freight will be swapped for cargo ships...then there will be no need to increase costs.

That's just my understanding anyway...

Wasnt it stated a few days ago that the BOAT would arrive in the USA in a couple of days? Where does the air frieght come in at? Pretty sure once here UPS or FEDEX will be making the final delivery.

Question Thomas, can you say

Question Thomas, can you say something about the named 'opening offer'? What do we get extra if we are the first buyers of the CSW? A discount? F1 rim for free?[

We will offer the airfreight

We will offer the airfreight units at the regular price. This is a "discount" of about 100€. There are no other specials planned for the launch.

We will start shipping in May so the first wheels will arrive in our warehouses in June. We will not airship units this time. The pre-orders will start soon but I want the wheels on the boat so we know when they arrive.

By that time we also expect that the first shipments of production units arrive in the USA and EU by air shipment. We will make a special launch offer but I will release more information about that as soon as the wheels are on the way so it is 100% sure that they arrive in time.

We will never actually know if the units are shipped by air of boat, but it looks a bit contradictionary:)

Finally!

The Forza Motorsport CSR Elite wheel is ready for pre-order from now on. We will fly in products from China by UPS airfreight so that we can ship it in time for Christmas.

This increases the cost of the wheel a little bit so that the new price is 539,95 Euro (incl VAT) or 539,95 USD (excl. VAT).

We only have a very limited amount of wheels available as production is still slow due to increased quality control measurements. We rather give the workers more time to assemble it nicely and save time with the shipping instead of rushing things to the market.

This wheel is a new milestone in simracing and you will discover your games in a complete different way.

That was said about the CSR Elite too, last year

But with the new website, maybe the CSR Elite will be back on the promised 499,-, and we won't see a disguised price raise for the CSW like on the CSR Elite.

I'm sure Thomas will reply to clarify this 👍
