Nice :)

How long did it take for you're order to come through?

I have ordered exactly the same things as you and my current order status is pending, only ordered yesterday though.

That's not mine bro lol. I am still waiting just like everybody else.

Ah right :dunce:

Never ordered from Fanatec so i'm not sure how quick they are :sly:

I was a bit worried with this though when ordering the wheel "Products marked with *** don't exist in desired quantity in our stock. You can buy them anyway and check the quantity we have in stock for immediate deliver in the checkout process"

Is this anything to worry about?

Like I said, never ordered from Fanatec before 👍

Aren't those the same as the PWTS?

I couldn't tell ya bud. I never had nor seen a PWTS up close. But, I personally think those paddles are the best. I don't miss a shift or when I try to look left or right(iRacing).

Just trying to show/give an option to those with the flimsy paddles for the now elder Porsche wheels.

Just pre-ordered the CSR wheel. Can't wait to get my hands on it! Hopefully it doesn't come too much after the, U.S, October 11th launch of Forza 4 here.

The distribution center isn't too far away from me in Vegas so I'm hoping for the best :D EXCITE!

When I ordered my setup it said it was guaranteed by October 15th. We shall see, but Thomas said the first set of containers were on their way Sep 16th and it takes around two weeks (estimation based on previous experience) to ship from China to the US and for everything to get through customs and what not. Maybe we get them even faster.

Does any know 1. Are the CSR Elite pedals ALL metal?
2. Are the electronics exactly the same as the CSP (clubsport pedals)

Way off topic I know - But if you are thinking about spending that much for a gaming headset - I recommend getting just the Astro mix amp 5.8, this will make any wired headphones wireless and you can use a seperate mic for chat or find a headphone set with a built in mic. Because the mix amp does have a seperate mic jack you it can be used on all systems (PC/360/PS3-you need chat adapter cable for PS3)

There are far better headphones, as far as sound quality, for around the same price as the Astro headphones which really pale in comparison......FYI.

If all you've ever used is "gaming" headphones the astros/turtle beach/trittons are all a step up from the cheap "gaming headphones" but there are far better options if you want to spend a little more money. Plus if you use them for music or movies the sound quality will be much much better

Sharkoon is very good as well

*Edit - never mind - CSR elite pedals doesn't have vibration function and uses different sensors. Also looks like the base is not all metal

How do you guys know where the Dist. Centers are?

I had direct communication with the distribution warehouse in southern CA with my back-order. So, if I need anything, I have a direct contact. The name of the distribution company is Centra Worldwide / Suddath Logistics. They handle any and everything when it comes to shipment.

Great people too, very helpful!

As for the new wheels, people be patient, they obviously have not shipped them out yet. When they do, everyone will know. I think it's more for promotional release reasons, imho. I too have a CSR shifter set pending. Can't wait! Metal shifter, finally.......

Does everyones CSR pre-order say "Pending?"

Pending means they still have not yet received payment yet. When they have received payment, it will then say "Paid" Then, when you get an email saying "your order will be delivered now" it will go quickly from "processing" to "delivered" Once it says delivered, it is shipped, and on its way to you.

Hope this helps! My CSR shifter set is currently in paid mode.

My order says paid at the top of the screen, and the order history at the bottom says pending.

That's the least of my problems though, I emailed them this morning realizing that they don't deliver outside of the EU to see if I needed to have it sent to a friend in the UK and then sent on to me. I explained that I live in the Channel Islands which is actually closer to Europe than what the UK is. I had a reply from them at first saying that it would have to be sent to a friend in the UK because of shipping costs, but when I explained that the package would have to travel an extra 640 kilometers across the English Channel they sent me a reply saying that they would check to see what the shipping costs are.

Hoping to get another reply from them in the morning, in case I have to update my shipping address to a UK address. Hope this isn't the case as it would probably mean longer for me to wait :ouch:

Cheers but I've already got one.
But hey, I'm always up for Fanatec porn. The Germans do know best after all ;)

Edit: Ooh, one post away from 1500.. Now who shall I bless with this landmark?

Mine says the same thing. So no worry there I guess.

Hope your shipping situation works out for the best.

I’ve read most of the is thread and am quite interested in buying a CSR Elite wheel, mainly because of multi-platform support for playing on both PS3 and xbox. PC compatibility is nice, but I don’t foresee the need for it. From what I have read here and over the web, I have concluded the following. Let me know if I’ve missed anything

  1. GT2 and CSR wheel appear to be very similar except for rim style. Seems like a choice between the two would be based on personal preference as to rim.
  2. The clubsport pedals have an ABS vibration function that can be triggered by the wheel, not the console. Other than aluminum construction, the only real advantage over the CRS elite pedals. However, it looks like you can invert the CRS elites with an optional kit. The ABS vibration function seems to be a nice addition, but not essential
  3. The CSR Elite wheel seems to be a significant upgrade to the GT2 and CRS, sorta like the Thrustmaster 500 from the Logitech G27
  4. The Porsche shifter set does not appear that good, the CSR shifters look much better, so
  5. The GT2 clubsport edition does not look like a good buy. You save $20, but get an inferior shfter set, even though the carbon paddle shifters are a good add on.
  6. I have a G27 and looking at an XCM crossfire converter, but it doesn’t look like they work very well.

So my options are:

A. CSR Elite Wheel plus Clubsport pedals and CSR shifter $760 or with CRS Elite pedals $710

B. CRS wheel plus CS pedals and CRS shifters $510 or $460 with CRS Elite pedals

C. GT2 wheel plus CS pedals, CSR Shifter and carbon pedals $550 or $500 with CRS Elite pedals

D. GT2 Clubsport edition $500

I would pull the trigger on option A today if it were available; but from what I gather, they have just gone to manufacturing. I’m guessing that’s a 6 to 8 week process in China with another 4 weeks for export and shipping. So, it looks like end of year for getting it in my hands.

Between B, C and D, October 15 delivery looks possible and with no deciding factor other than personal preference. I have not read anything definitive that would indicate that the CSR wheel will perform better than the GT2?

There appear to be no other wheels that are multi-platform?

Thanks 👍

either way there shouldn't be a problem receiving it as I have a friend who can take delivery in the UK. I would prefer it to be shipped straight here though to save the waiting. I don't see why it can't be sent here even though where i'm from is not part of the EU, as I am considerably closer to Europe.

Surely it would be cheaper sending it straight here rather than shipping it all the way across the English Channel wouldn't it?

The extra distance it would have to travel is about 600 kilometers :odd:

As an owner of GT3 RS and PWTS. (Which are both great BTW) I would be patient and wait for the CSR Elite. If you have the money and are already considering it the most likely outcome is you get a gt2/csr and then later you end up getting the CSR-Elite anyway and now you are out an additional $250.

I wanted to wait for the Elite, but I'm impatient. I got the CSR now and if the Elite gets insane reviews and feedback, I'll sell the CSR and step up to the Elite. I might lose a couple bucks in the process, but I can pretend I just paid a little cash to rent the CSR until the Elite comes out.

Or maybe I'll get super lucky and get to Beta test the Elite, keep it, sell the CSR and everything works out even better. Think of the comparison videos I could make.

Mine says pending (CSR and Elite pedals) and it also says "Paid".

Same here.

However, I thought that it had been said Fanatec wasn't going to charge customers until their orders had shipped; because of past problems. I guess this either went out the window or doesn't apply to pre-orders.
