The DFGT shifter was bad, so were the paddle shifter (buttons) imo. The reason I might grab a shifter set (not CSR just reg) is because I always seem to lose count on a seq. shifter lol. Making a turn and going in reverse, OR accel. and realizing I am in 4th instead of 2nd.

Those would be my reasons as least :)

Thanks Vaxxtx, good point, that is something I overlooked in the comparison/preference of the shifters vs the paddles.

The other issue would be mounting of a shifter... I use a Wheel Stand Pro.

Can anybody give me a hand. I'm trying to update from 669 firmware to 681 on my PWTS but get nowhere. This is what happens.

Do the new wheels have the same built-in table mount? I can't imagine using that mounting system with the CSW.
 
I'd love to know if, and how easy ,the CSR Elite pedals can be removed from the base, and is the pedal wiring long enough to space the pedals slightly wider apart than on the pedals original base.

THe CSR has that table clamp... the CSW might have the CSW table clamp
though :) although you can buy it if not.

about the pedals, I am not sure about how easy it is but it looks straight forward enough :)

Looking at part 5 is the DFGT wheel bigger than the CSR? When i had the GT wheel i thought it was tiny!!!
 
Damn. In an earlier pic in this thread, the CSR looked a fair bit bigger next to a g25 (or g27)..
Still a very cool wheel, but I'm a little dissapointed.

It certainly dosen't feel cheap.. The plastic in my opinion looks good on the rim and is not were you grip the wheel.
I turned my DFGT (turned off) and it makes a loudish noise..
The Fanatec dosen't.. Its great worth the $250 for you..
