The total was 263.90 euro fully inclusive of charges and delivery.

Its okay ISR say we all pay the same really (lol) err idots.
No we just accept things as they are in the UK.

* N.Ireland were my coffee is brewed is not mainland UK

You say that Latte but for me sometimes the delivery costs more that the ordered stuff :) insane. However we have a beautiful weather here and great food so I shouldn't be complaining.

I wonder whether I should order the CSP now since the conversion kit is free but I'm not sure if it is worth ordering those separately as the delivery cost will make those 50 euros vanish :(

As it turns out fanatec sales, Katharina contacted me and for some strange reason my order had the CSP + free kit but also an additional kit added. That likely explains the price.

I didnt pay that much attention/tired at the time of ordering so my bad on that one.

The waiting for CSW availability is becoming like torture now.:grumpy:
Days seem like weeks, weeks like months and so on.
I'm sorry but it does

Well, testing won't be for a while still. Since that takes 30 days (at least the CSR E from what I saw at 911wheel.com), then it means you can add another week or two at least to that from now before the CSW will shipped. Or maybe even a month if Thomas wants to first finish up with the CSR Elite before moving on to testing the CSW, just to level out the workload a bit.
On the other hand because the two wheels are so much the same, maybe the testing time will be shortened because of it.
Of course this is all speculation based on the fact that we saw yesterday the first testing sample of the CSR E had arrived.
So who knows? But I think you will have to wait until Christmas at least. Besides in the BMW video Thomas said December. ;)

I doubt that unless some dramatic problems show up during testing. I see it to be released February a latest including some bad delay. But nothing is sure yet. The only one that knows it best is Thomas, but he'll keep it hush until shipping anyway I reckon. ;)

Thomas, can you give us the dimensions of the mounting holes for the CSW and the CSR E when we do not wanna use the adapter?
So I mean, dimensions from one hole to the other etc..
Here is a pic:

Thank you.

When the time is right guys Im sure many of the qestions you have will be addressed by the guys testing the wheels.

One query/question I have myself is if the new mount also has adapaters or can be attached to the CS Wheelstand or the CS Wheel Bracket. I own both of those anyways and it will be something I will be covering to see if they can be fitted or what is needing done to adapt them if not.

Although unconfirmed we could assume some form of bracket would add the compatibility so the CSRE & CSW can be attached to those accessories.

I am sure these are good questions to be addressed in the review. I am sure the answer lies in how Thomas handles product compatibility over his range in the past. =/

Would be nice if Thomas can give us the mounting dimensions before the test starts.. because then it's too late for me because I am a tester.. :D I want to know that before the test so I can drill the holes in my wheelplate .. So I dont have to do that the day the wheel arrives.. that saves some time to get first impressions :)

Personally I think you'd be better off waiting until you have the wheel in hand so you can position the base on your rig correctly to maintain the proper distance between the front of the wheel in relation to your driving position. It would suck to zip four holes in your rig's mounting base now only to discover the wheel sits too far back for your liking when you try to mount it. I say that because the wheel on the CSR E/CSW sits quite a bit further back from the front plate of the wheel base than say the CSR does.....there's quite a gap there.

you are right.. but the wheel plate of my rig can be positioned forward and backwards and also the height can be adjusted.. only the angle is not adjustable..
a drilling template for first impressions would be nice..^^

This is what I've been asking for for the last month but got no feedback yet, maybe Thomas has not yet decided with the mounting points? :)

Ilonium, patience...

Look at it this way... If this was a Logitech or indeed Thrustmaster product we would have seen or known even less than we already do. Im sure answers to questions like yours will be answered before customers take delivery so still giving you time to do what you need to do.

OMG I love opening boxes...

"it's one small step for Latte, but it's one big step for sim kind" :dopey:

Already got goodies in the mail? Lucky guy. ;)

Im a bit gobsmaked that the forums hasn't yet had a single review on the CSR Elite Pedals showing a full detailed comparison to the CSP. What a bummer not any good photos or anything. We seen very little of these up close and in detail so I dont know about others but Ive been itching to see more of them.

If anyone is still needing to see pics of the CSR Elite pedals, let me know and I'll throw some up.

Mr Latte, buy me a set of CSR Elite pedals. In return I will post an extremely comprehensive CSR Elite/ClubSport pedal shootout with photos and video. I will also send you some cookies.

Sorry but well I have a set here now to do just that.
Really liking them too...

Excellent Mr Latte. I saw you have inverted pedals too. When you're allowed, let us know how you like inverted CSR-E Pedals vs floor mounted ClubSport Pedals.

Been waiting a long time to see these together...

Both look superb dont they, but whats the advantages/disadvantages of each?

Expect some great detailed images (not from an iphone like above) but from a Canon 5D Mk II in the upcoming multipart report.

Great! Really looking forward to the comparison. Have the CSP in my shopping cart but will wait to read the review.

Got some studio lighting for the camera shots? I'd say a 50mm f1.2 or 85mm and a 100mm f2.8 macro would make great images!

The elites are just the ultimate Budget setup :)

This. Although, what's another $50 for some of the best pedals on the market?

I think the CSREP's are superb. My only suggestion would be to have a small tuning kit option. Smaller than the CSP TK, just extra parts. Or, I guess you can do what I do and not use the clutch and have that be a swappable pedal for in the future 👍

Truly happy with my CSREP's!

I prefer the design of the Elite pedals, particulary with what the "inversion kit" brings.
How important / beneficial are contactles sensors and particulary to the console gamer?

Lots of things to cover, oh its exciting!!!

I'm trying to find info on Fanatecs' site for the "inversion kit"? Is it listed...is there a price?

Thanks

So now you know what I mean about them being good for consoles. before you said I was misleading lol.

Anyway enjoy your time. :)

Stones, its not available yet...

You'd need to be specific on what I was referring to whatever comment you made. If anything Ive been stating for ages that the "Sensorless Technology" is somewhat restricted when not used via USB mode. However thats a well known fact that the pedals only work in the full 1024 step mode via PC/USB. So for the console specific gamer and a review perspective then a major advantage of the CSP additional pedal accuracy is possibly lost, err or is it?

As for enjoying my time.
Yes I look forward to showing you a good example of what a proper detailed review is. :)
