Thanks @timekiller001. Just after posting I just questioned myself - what would be limited in potentiometer based pedal. On the other hand I started to have issues with calibration/working of pedals since I played with BRF.
But most likely it is a RJ cable related.
My gas pedal is sometimes not working or being calibrated only downto ca. 50% of the range.
So far different/random actions solved this - different each time: reconnect, reboot, recalibrate, etc.
So still looking for ultimate diagnose.

You shouldn't have a BRF setting at all if you don't have a load cell pedal
You ar quite right.
Silly me. When I did read somebody lowering BRF I "gave it a try" and lowered by BLI leading to my placebo immersion.

BTW do your Fanatec button caps also break so easly - I have already at least 3 or 4 cracked open under very normal moderate pressure. They feel fragile like M&Ms.

No the buttons on my CSL WRC rim feel very well made with quality plastics. What rim do you have?

RS300-UnivHub and McLaren GT3 v2
The once which broke should be coming from both deliveries.
I hope it shouldn't be from using caps cross-compatible

My wheel's well and truly dead now, I couldn't get it to last 10 minutes during an Assetto Corsa session last night without it randomly switching off. I kept getting an "article not found" error when I tried to register its serial code so I could invoke its warranty. If Fanatec offer me a replacement wheelbase, I'm honestly considering selling it and using those proceeds for a Logitech G Pro.

I have problems with my Fanatec also I am obliged to use the screw to block my QR1 to avoid disconnection and I went through this contact by reddit (corsairMars) because I could not enter the serial number on the Fanatec site !

I do not know what he did but in a few hours he managed to put my serial number on the Fanatec site! Try to contact him and again a big thank you to him if he sees this message. 😘

I've already opened an RMA ticket for it, what I did was use the "Add product, not purchased via store" option at the bottom of the "My products" page to enter the serial number.

I think I might have fixed it. The support staffer told me to re-seat the QR device, and it's just survived a 10-min test race that I did in Assetto Corsa just now. If I don't post here in the next few weeks I think I can breathe a sigh of relief.

OK so now I have a few months under my belt I'd like to add a touch more weight to the steering in "light load" situation. So hit a kerb or take a fast sweeping corner and there's real kick but I find it a tough too light upon normal cornering in a low load situation. It is particularly noticable on the Super Formula car. Any tips what settings I should tweak a touch?

Try increasing NFR & NIN. NFR will increase the resistance, NIN adds weight - I use 25 NFR & 10 NIN.

Never mind, it's dying again. Now I need to find out if I'll need to return the pedals along with the base. :banghead:

Looks pretty decent on the old DD Pro.

Whoever is on the fence about this, don't be. If you thought about buying one - do it when it's back in stock. Super nice kit. We've needed this thing for a long time. It's what I would imagine the McLaren is but super premium. It also opens up a whole other level of wheel rims. Super easy to swap if you wanted to...

Also wanted to suggest this tool I bought. I've been looking at them for a while but had a hard time justifying the money for something I didn't really need at all... But Amazon suggested this because it was on sale and if you are a tinkerer of modern things this is a time saver and a half. For the money it's crazy what you get. Great for Sim racing gear and probably anything personal electronics related.

I did, because it's part of a bundle. Oh well, at least Fanatec paid for postage and saved me €32. It was a bit of a pain getting the box out of my car and into the post office, though.

Or if there is sth else that will improve my pedals, except load cell, i m happy to hear.
Honestly I wouldn't mess with the pedals. They are surprisingly good for non load-cell. Rather than waste money on marginal changes or even putting the CSL load-cell in the GT DD pro pedals I would just save your money and then get the CSL Elite V2 pedals. It's a major step up.

I was trying to convince my wife to drop US$750 for the 5Nm version as it was in stock. There was a website redesign at fanatec.com. It must have been a pricey one as the DD Pro bundle is now $950. At least I know who to blame...

Well, I’m so glad I’ve got all the Fanatec gear I need. Then new prices are an absolute joke. Not only have they all gone up significantly by about 25% (thanks MAGA 🤬) but they’re forcing you into QR2 hardware whether you need it or not.

Seems like a good time to sell my formula V2 wheel that I got for $180 bucks which now you can’t get below $480.

What an absolute joke.

Corsair is getting into simucube/heusinkveld price territory without the simucube/heusinkveld quality ._.

Edit: I have to correct this post. Fanatec now defaults to the msot expensive option. If you use the "normal" options the price increase is okayish

You should definitely forget the 5Nm version. I made the exact same mistake 2 years ago.

The 5Nm (without the Boost Kit) is really too weak. In reality this version is only 4Nm for Constant effects (5Nm is only for Peaks).

With the Boost kit version, no more weak issues: you have 6Nm for the Constant and 8Nm for Peaks.

Well I had it in mind when was wondering in mid of 2024 if it is worth to risk buying Fanatec when Buncrapcy and Corsair topic was at it's peak.

I speculated 51% chance Fanatec would survive - 80-90% chance prices will increase once it settles in new organization.
So I'm happy that risking worked for me at least this one time. I had complete setup with shifter and Load cell.
