Podium Wheel Base DD1 (1000€) = PC & Xbox
Podium Wheel Base DD2 (1500€) = PC & Xbox
Podium Racing Wheel F1 (1500€) = PC & PS4

It actually depends if you use an Xbox compatible steering wheel with it.

Default:
Podium Wheel Base DD1 (1000€) = PC
Podium Wheel Base DD2 (1500€) = PC
Podium Racing Wheel F1 (1500€) = PC & PS4

With Xbox One compatible steering wheel (like the Universal Hub or the McLaren):

Podium Wheel Base DD1 (1000€) = PC & Xbox
Podium Wheel Base DD2 (1500€) = PC & Xbox
Podium Racing Wheel F1 (1500€) = PC & PS4 & Xbox

Question regarding the Podium Racing Wheel F1, what do the buttons actually look like? Because in the pictures they sometimes have the PS4 symbols on them and in others just the colors. Have to say I don't really like those PS4 buttons.

These are exchangeable button caps.
You will also get additional racing style button caps.

Yes, naturally I've seen that picture many times, but in other pictures it has the PS4 style buttons and there is as far I'm aware no information on whether it actually comes with two sets of button caps, or just the one "racing style" set mentioned on the site.

From what I gather, you mean that it comes with two sets of caps then, what's your source on this?

EDIT:
To be clear, I've always assumed it's like you say, but I'm looking for definite confirmation

All recent PS4 rims from Fanatec have thise 2 sets included, The ones for Xbox have for Xbox caps instead of PS4... so you have 3 options..PS4 caps, Racing caps and naked buttons which is PEGI 18+ only for adult only!:)))

These are the additional racing style button caps you will get and note that the steering wheel comes with pre-installed Xbox exchangeable button caps, your wheel will come with pre-installed PS4 exchangeable button caps:

Wait, now I'm confused. From that video (assuming it'll be the same for the PS4 rim) it seems that you only get the PS4 buttons and the "racing style caps". Still no confirmation that we'll get the colored button caps as in the picture you posted. @DomB_Fanatec could you chime in here?

I hope you're right :) I like my buttons naked
Here's how it looks this steering wheel with naked buttons:

Thank you :) Looks so much better without those awful console buttons. I think they could have clarified that a bit better though, rather than just implying it via the pictures, they could have explicitly stated it.

But that rim there looks so much better than the toy-ish colors we get for the PS4 version.

Nobody can replace the community and to clarify better than us!:))))

Is there any chance for proper support on ps5 console which will released in 2020-21?
Because ps4 life circle is almost over and there is still not really full support of fanatec hardware.
Would be hard for everyone who buy the ps4-dd when it would become useless next year, because no support on ps5 / gran turismo 7.
Are there plans with sony&fanatec to avoid this worst scenario?

Well last gen we got lots of hacks via USB dongles I think that is why sony introduced the infamous security chip. This gen things are a little different.
Next gen I think it will be just legal/license thing (but that is just my guess).

All these "protective" measures just put additional stress on fair end users. This generation also allows you to run non-supported hardware, scripts, etc. The only reason they implement such things is to extract more money from average people because they need to buy all this "official" hardware then.

Yes-but last gen you could run almost anything on PS3 (At the start of the gen I was running cheap Trust wheel which was 100% not licensed) and now licensed stuff can be validated. (My guess) Sony does not care what gen wheel it is if fanatec pays cut for the license

This "license" thing have many points of view... I can say that Fanatec was unfair blamed when PS4/XB1 came out that their products are not supported...like Fanatec sold them future proof guarantee...

Well I know that they listed disclaimers about ps4 compatibility but end result for users sucked. I'm sure there was a possibility to make a deal (for T500 like compatibility), but I also understand business from both sides and at the end of the day I can only rant as an end user.

It all depends on sony and fanatec relations now and I can only trust Thomas when he says that they are good.

No doubt they are good! This is bussiness between two companies - if both sides agreed to terms - everything is fine! And better to have officialy licensed product instead of some negotiated compatibility for native noncompatible product! Maybe next year PS5 will be announced and I think all future PS and XB will work with Xb1 PS4 products...

I hope so (knowing I just pre-ordered DD wheel :D)

No matter I am right or wrong - for the DDs I can guarantee that will work on next PS console...to release the best ever wheel from your brand and the next gen to knock on the door - I am sure PS4 license will be extended for the DDs.

Btw the guys form SMS that are working on a new console - pretty sure they will accept all Xb1/PS4 wheels and controllers on their console...otherwise they will be more than slighly mad if they think that third type of console with its own peripherals will survive;)

Krassi, are you working for Fanatec? You promise A LOT of next gen consoles features.
Good question and I will take my note to be more passive in promisses...btw my thoughts are based on pure logic and I even dont have some internal info or something....Fanatec now will release the best ever made base/wheel from the company - the Podium after all those years of inovations...imagine what will be the reaction of the customers if those bought their DDs in 2019/2020 - realise that new consoles will not support them??? Also , do you think Fanatec will pay licence DD1 PS4 is only last 1- max 2 years left for this license....I think thats why T500RS was supported on PS4 - it part was of the deal TM with Sony.
When Fanatec and Sony negotiate - Sony target is to take as much money as possible , they sell their platform...Fanatec obligation is to think given money to be spent wise and the customers to receive as best as possible as longer as possible!

All this are my thoughts and can be called specualtions, but forums are the best place to exchange thoughts, right?;)

Cheers

Will there be a compatibility mode on the PS4 Podium Racing Wheel like the CSL? So we can play Dirt Rally on PS4 with force feedback, shifter and handbrake. I read somewhere that there will only be PS4 blue and PC mode.

Edit: I found it. Quote from DomB_Fanatec on another site.

So yes, our PS4 direct drive system follows the same concept as the rest of our ecosystem, however it only has the 'blue mode' for the PS4, not the older compatibility modes found on the CSL.

Is there a reason it does not have this mode?

Fanatec's obligation is also to make as much money as possible, they are not a charity. They just have a little more balancing to do between earnings and customer satisfaction.
