The fastest I've ever went when driving myself is around 120 km/h.

My car's got a limiter at about 115mph. Don't ask me how I know this..

There's a guy at work with a beefed-up Firehawk. Once he gets his new gears broken in, he says he'll take me for a spin. That puppy'll do 160.

On Friday I got to drive an '05 A6 and loved the hell out of it...I had to take the picture sideways because of the position of the steering wheel and the daylight coming in from the sunroof. This car is extremely fast and quite a good handler.

The Caddy has a 130mph electronic cutout. I've been there done that. Without an electronic cutout it should top out at 155. But, I gotta get that removed first.

You wouldnt happen to own a Mazda 3 5-door would you My car will go 115mph in 4th!!. But fastest was 122mph in my 97 Eclipse Turbo did not have the grapes to keep going with the fear of going to jail setting in. 120 in a 88 Mazda 626 GT turbo same fear stopped me.

I and my friend once stepped in his cousin's highly-modded Toyota Soarer and managed to hit 142mph on a stretch of road that was mildly occupied at about 4.00pm after a day at the Melbourne Motor show.

You would not believe the rush you feel at those speeds; my heart was pumping dangerously fast!

I'm not going back to my friend's place again until I catch my breath back...

But it's a rush you'll never forget and I'd advise you all to try it, not only does it give you that feeling but it teaches you why you 'should not' drive at those speeds; you'll see what I mean when you try it yourself...

about 215km/h (something like 130mph i think) at Easter creek raceway.... not a massivly fast speed in comparison to some of the others listed on in this thread, but it's quick enough at the time and for the track conditions.... That was in the 300zx.

Unfortunalty at present the quickest my 280 is going is a big fat zero.... it's fallen apart again... but the max I've hit with it is about 160 km/h... nothing to really brag about.

Just north of 140MPH in an 89 Taurus SHO I owned a few years ago, and 130+ in numerous Taurus SHOs over the years. Those cars are amazingly smooth at those speeds too

85 in my old Reliant K, back before she got punched in the mouth by a late-model F-150. (was a write-off. went to the junkyard. so sad.

of course, it was in a 55 zone...(BAD ME!)...but I was trying to catch up to a caravan, which I did, just in time.

strange thing was, she felt like she had something left. however, she'd need another gear. had the 2.5 FI.

I put a Stage 5 turbo on my Mazda, with racing chip and nitrous, and got it up to 225 mph on the Mulsanne (having to dodge cars, mind you LOL!!!!1). I bet with a Stage 1 weight reduction, I could probably get it to 300 mph.
