I put a Stage 5 turbo on my Mazda, with racing chip and nitrous, and got it up to 225 mph on the Mulsanne (having to dodge cars, mind you LOL!!!!1). I bet with a Stage 1 weight reduction, I could probably get it to 300 mph.

Oh wait, here's the thread I was looking for! BRB...
[/n00b mode]

My car supposedly tops out at 115 mph, but I've never tried it.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

115 mph, 1995 nissan Quest GXE in Florida. And we were STILL getting passed by other minivans!
95 mph, 1985 BMW 325i Convertible with the top down :scared: on an empty highway going to a 'haunted' firehouse with my friend and dad on Long Island for halloween.
124 mph, 1969 AMC Javelin SST390 in Big Bad Orange, around 400hp exact number unknown, got a warning but no ticket! ;)
160 kmh (100 mph), Ford Focus ZX3 somewhere in Holland. Still getting passed. :irked:

Yeah... Everyone knows it's legal for twelve-year olds to drive...

Fastest I went was with my dad, 100mph on the autobahn in a yellow Mercedes Benz 410D.

First off how you know im 12?
Second it was all my dad, except the Quest and Focus which were my mom. My mom is actually quite speed demon, averages 80-90 mph. My dad only drive fast sometimes.

It's just the ammount of times you've said it, i found it rather funny how you didn't realise you'd stated it so many times...

Errr, Guys. There's a topic here somewhere. Get back on it please.

Oh man this guy is funny (Rouge).

You just got your first rep.

On topic: 100mph in a 410d is not very fun, it's terrifying.

You're provoking me. But I wont do anything. And Daan (fluffy ModMaan) I did say 'lets get back on topic' Why is it I always start big tangents?! Anyway another one, my dad got to drive an XLRV and Z06 at an autoshow, got to 120 in both.

410d? As in Merc truck? I wouldn't wanna try that...

90mph in a 1.8 ford mondeo . Not exactly a record, but my family doesn't like speeding...It's not even our car, it's my sisters.

Fastest in the freelander? 80, probably.

I've had my Isuzu Rodeo cruise at 90mph on the highway before. But one of these days, I want to break the big one-double-O. I'll need a really long, staright, flat, road though, as 100+ in a ten year-old four banger compact SUV may not be smooth, calm ride :scared:. If I can break 100 safely, I'll try for my ultimate goal: max out its speedometer at 110...

I had this '88 Dodge Daytona Turbo... it's shocks were completely shot... if you pushed down on the rear it wouldnt stop bouncing for about 10 seconds..literally. it never had rear brakes that worked the whole time I drove it. by the time I junked it (9 months) the pad ate the rotor on the left front, one wheel braking! poo-brown, and many leaks. duct-taped spark-plug wire too! 400$.
took it up to 115mph on the highway going to work one day anyway... it was very.....interesting. I also took it to 90 in the snow, but the back end was constantly fishtailing, so I slowed. Mind you, this car's rear slid out at 85 switching lanes on the highway if you werent careful. never wrecked it though, but did clip a snowbank at 10mph...no damage, carry on.
told you I was an idiot.

I've had my '90 CRX (since sold) to 200 km/h (124 mph), and my '95 Grand Am to 190 km/h. I ran out of room with the CRX, and the Grand Am governs out at 190.

better drive fast where it is possible........if i go to the neighbourghs, which is Germany, I can drive as fast as i want..............legally

The teenage invincibility clause overruled all sane thought today, I hit 100 in my dad's Charger. (On a highway, with not a soul in sight)

My Dad hit 110mph in my '70 Mach 1, but that was the summer before I rebuilt it from an accident.

More recently I had a friend who went 120mph in his '97 Eclipse GS-T Spyder. Two hours after that high speed run the left front wishbone broke. Adding insult is that he bought it that day. Six hours into owning it and major league problems arose.

220km/h (136-137mph) in a Mercedes C220 CDI (wagon) on the autobahn. I was driving quite fast, about 180 to 200, and I managed to get it to 220 one time. There wasn't a single car that passed me. In fact, I moved off this Bmw 328ci who was doing ~190km/h. He must've felt weird having a wagon pass him. :dopey:

It's never a good idea to really push a car that hard when it's that new. The parts need a hundred or so miles on them before they can really get friendly with each other. Think about it, they parts have never been in use before, the engine could still have bits of metal form the machining processes. They may be stiff and tight for a while, making them more vulnerable to major stresses, especially when pushing a car over 100. It's always best to take it easy in a car that has less than a couple hundered miles on it, so the parts can loosen up.

It wasn't new. It was new to him, but not a new car.

81 MPH on my friend's Trek road bike down a longass hill. The whole way down i was like "Please let this be over pleeeaaaassssee!" The speed limit was 45 BTW. I was hoping there wasn't any cops there. I looked at the digital speedo/computer on the bars after the run down ,and it records the fastest speed it hits per 'run' (you start the run and end it and it'll tell you all the stats). I was like O ****! when i saw the speed.
My friend when down the same hill on his bike. Only got about 30 mph on his downhill bike because he was riding on the brakes the whole time. The rotors were red hot when he came to a stop, and the pads were burnt off.

Holy sh:eek:t! The fastest I've ever been on a bike is only about 45mph (still fast for a mountain bike) on a down hill. But I've down a hill at that speed where there was a blind turn from the paved hill to gravel road :scared:.

My friend on the same bike i hit 81 mph took a 90 degree turn at about 60 mph or so, and the tires were squeeling so loud! I thought he would slide out for sure, but he managed to keep the bike up and keep going. The roads were greasy and slick because this was after a rain too!
I followed him, but slowed down at the end and took the turn at probably 20 mph on my MTB.:sly:

The fastest I've ever driven in my current car (VW Golf III 1.8) is 187 kmh.
That's about 116 mph. That was also the top speed of the car, it wouldn't go any faster.

In two weeks or so my new car (VW golf V gti) should arrive.
I have a feeling my top speed record is going to be shattered shortly after that. ;)

If *cough*when*cough* that happends either have someone take a pic or take one yourself with a cell phone. 👍

Holy schizmit! Are you serious? And I thought I was fast on my Schwinn 12-speed, blowing off cars at 45 mph on Northern Blvd!

A right angle at 60 mph?! Ive done it at maybe 30 on a regular road, but never at more! And it was @#$@ing scary!!
I hope you were wearing a helmet!
