110 mph with one of my best mates on a flat, straight road between Knights Landing, CA, and Meridian. It's about 30 miles with four turns and one hill. We took my dad's '91 Toyota Pick-up during a long respite from school, and I decided to make some time so we could get back for lunch.

Take the photos and host them on image shack.

There is a built in feature in the Advanced Reply to host images. Then copy the link from image shack and post it in here.

A modified Skyline for a 21 year old in south-east London? Which insurance company agreed to that one?

Occupation or current study: studying lv 3 motor mechanics.

$80,000 car? I want to do this:lol:

how do i get my pics on this site and the insurance is by direct choice whitch happens to be owned by my mates father
Make sure you have a hand written notice saying "I love GTP" in the photo too.

What's your mates father's name?

I find it strange that you don't mention this "Skyline" on your face-pic page.

i created that profile time ago. back then i had a 330ci

his name is Tony Jackson and my mates is Leo Jackson

will try that image shack

Excellent. Keep digging. Your profile there is obviously still relevent or you wouldn't have put it in your profile here.

So, what's your car history? When did you buy the 330? What did you have before that? When did you get the Skyline? Did you import it?

EDIT: I would have assumed the bosses of Direct Choice would be a Mr Taylor or a Mr Price, but I could be wrong...

Bloody hell, I struggle to keep a Fiat on the road in London, and I'm 20 and have NCB and am a mechanic. Either your a lucky kid to have a Bee-em and then GTR, or your lying.

And which do we think it is? You decide.

I'm sure Mr Geoffrey F Taylor would be quite interested to know he doesn't own Direct Choice anymore.

Here's my 3 cars. A RUF, a Saleen, and a Merc Gullwing

Our explorer starts to shake at 80-85. Shakes violently at 90+. Scary stuff. Haha.

Allthough I can 100% imagine that, I just wonder.....what kind of cars do the Americans make, ones that give you chills (cold ones...) at 15 mph over the speed limit ? Geez........ :dunce: It's the older model I presume, 'cause if not, then  to Ford

ummm, just went 10mph than ive driven before which is now 110mph
Didn't feel like much though. I got a pic at 105 but while the stuuuupid camera was processing the pic i already reached 110 and had to slow down because of traffic:grumpy:. Oh well, there's always next time......

What car do you have?

Sorry, didn't get back in here until now.

It is a Feb 1988 Holden VL Commodore, built at the Salisbury plant near Adelaide, South Australia, and i am the third owner. The guy I bought it off in Feb 2005, got it for his 18th birthday from his grandfather in 2003, who bought it new in 1988. It is soon to get a set of VN SS Rims, as they will look better than the mock Centrelines, and have better airflow past the brakes. Oh, and they will be slightly more legal, I had to pump the rear guards about 30mm to fit the current tyres under them.

3,0L NA RB30DE
Bog stock (except the washable pod filter, and very slightly modified exhaust)
4-speed Auto (incl. Overdrive)

If you guys really need a pic with a sign, I can get you one, but I honestly didn't see the point...

-edit-
So you don't need tpo go hunting, my top speed in this POS is 174km/h, with plenty to spare, but it was on the speed limiter.

You know I know what car you have now.

Salisbury plant? I've always known it as Elizabeth plant (although Salisbury is close).

It is listed as the Salisbury plant according to the Compliance plate, and the website I looked at. But personally, I also think of it as Elizabeth, even if Holden call it the Salisbury Plant

More info about the history of the car in the post now too.

-edit-

Yep you are right, Elizabeth :dunce:

But they may as well be the same suburb though, both just as bas as each other, and you can't tell where one ends and the other starts.

Yeah when I go to that side of town I don't know which suburb I'm in.

Sad thing is, I used to live out that side of town, and I STILL get confused. I used to live at Para Hills, and deliver pizzas for Para Hills Pizza Express, so you would think I would know the area, but I know the area around Flinders Park/Findon/Torrensville better

Hehee..
150 KM/H in my car today (Just shy of 100 MPH for you yanks).
I'm sure I'll set the record higher eventually, but I only got my car on Tuesday.

I imagine it's like eating an adrenaline lollypop coated with testosterone and drugs of some description.
