How fast have you gone in your car?

Police are completely obsessed with speeding in Perth. After a while, you seem to think it’s the only law they tend to focus on. And those black Multanova speed cameras are hidden in every bush on every road, so overtaking lane-hoggers on country roads can give you hundreds of dollars in fines, and the deduction of demerit Points. They can even confiscate your car if you’re way over the limit.
So I’ve only driven quickly once in my car, at about 100mph on a deserted road with nothing I could run in to. I had a nice drive through the UK a few months ago in a Corsa, at roughly the same speed.
 
^ That's why I do actually like Mount Gambier, even if it's a bit of a hole. We've got 10 beautifully straight unwatched roads where you can really open it up.
 
Lucky bugger. Looks like a nice quiet place on google earth. Lots of run-off space, with all those wide open paddocks. 👍
 
Replacing the distributor and swapping in a Prelude LSD transaxle bumped up my 'limited' top speed 2mph, to 117.

In my car 255km/h (156mph?) for hours till now. Audi s3 2002
With the Autobahn at 20 min from my home, Spa at 1h20min, Nür at 1h 45, you can imagine

fastest ever 305 in a PorscheGT2 (201mph?), not driven myself :(
 
121mph (indicated) in the Cooper, it's supposed to go to 126mph but I don't know if I can get it up there. I'm sure the tires have something to do with it since they are a different size.
 
The 370Z was uncorked to 151 mph at an undisclosed location. I don't like to involve others in such tomfoolery, but I did catch a big-rig, uh, I mean pace car, at 140. He sure looked far away when I started... :D. Don't think I'll do that again...

150 in a ford mustang 5.0 supercharged fox body.

160 in the passenger seat, of my dads classic Ferrari 308 GTB....(restored)

253 mph in a Bugatti veyron, One hell of a realistic dream..

1996 nissan 180sx, 7000 rpm in 5th gear. My speedo only goes to 180 kph, but luckily I had dyno sheets that were done in 5th gear, so it worked out to be 156mph. You really notice warped brake discs at that speed.
 
87 in my truck, limited there by her bricklike physique.

Mach Jesus (100) in my mom's Escape. Turnin' 4500rpm in 5th.
 
Fastest I've ever gone in the Ranger is about 85 mph. I was trying to chase a Carrera GT to get a picture, but it was still doing about 20 faster still. That was pretty scary in that little truck!:scared:

The fastest I've ever driven is about 95 mph in a '06 Accord.

I hit the top speed of my Tercel (109) while going downhill. The speedo is rated to 125mph (I think?).

But that's only the fastest I've gone in mine.

Done about 100mph in my Escort, I think it still had a bit more left to give, so I'll have to try again ;)
I have done a bit more in my Dad's HSV, quite a nice car. It's the 5.7 litre v8, managed to pull about 130mph with ease. Very fun stuff.
 
Heh, found a huge downhill and managed to outpace my speedometer!

I think I did like 128mpph or so...
 
330km/h in a mod 300ZX:scared:! I got the felling the road narrows! Seems what they say is true:nervous:! Also got the felling that in case of emergency you dont have time to do anything. I probably wont do that again...

Thats only like 224 km/h, ain't that fast

Fastest I've gone in a car was ~280 km/h, got a ride in a 360 Maranello as a birthday present.

The Suzuki does 250 km/h, but stupid small-car drivers trying to overtake a truck with 100 km/h make that really dangerous.
 
I hit 120 for the first time ever the other day. it was through a tunnel in the middle of the night and I went into plaid. (huge bonus points if you get the reference)

Same story in brisbane, we have this wonderful stretch of highway from brisbane to gold coast, 4 lanes wide and free flowing, lanes are super wide, no tight curves. speed limit is 110kph, traffic in the outer lanes flow at about 120 - 125 but im scared to even go in those lanes as cops over here will pick you up for that, not to mention the speed cameras.

So its rare i ever go over 140kph which even then i only go to when overtaking. Its just so risky.
