It was a good thing you didn't have to resort to using the h pattern to finish the race. That would have been a huge pain vs the sequential shifter of the DFGT.
 
I dont know what to say to this accident.
I think it was a lag or race accident.
For me is Chatti against antz1980 a hard accident.
I say 10 seconds penalty for that.
But he stay anyway on his position.

Maybe you should buy the G27 its really the best wheel i have had all wheels and G27 is the best wheel.

Well i suppose the stewards have made their decision, i have taken some pics of the NON-CONTACT:

It was so terrifying that my driver thought he was going to die at that speed :nervous: I actually heard the bang on board and you can see that his rear right tyre also got damaged when you ride on his onboard. It also damaged my steering wheel that i had to open it up as i now cannot up-shift with the paddle shifter, having to use the stick now :bang:

Will try and get a micro-switch to fix the wheel before the next race as the F'10 is quite difficult to shift with the stick as sometimes you need to shift quickly during or after a corner and its harder if you have to do it with one hand as the other is on the gear lever. Will try and see if my warranty is still valid.

FYI: that was joke, my wheel stopped working with a few laps to go it wasn't coz of the accident :D

This is my smash into Oshawa. I went way wide to pass, and if I remember, I took my hand off the wheel to scratch my nose. That kind of stuff is going to be an issue with me when I eventually put a helmet on. I'm always scratching my head or my nose while racing. Not sure how you stop the urge when you have an actual helmet on. It would drive me nuts.

That's what happened?! OMG I was freaking out and had no idea LOL, thinking somehow someone was released from the pit into me. Seems every time I try to stay out of Immortal's way I crash! No problem by the way toolo4sno. I don't think my kids are getting a helicopter this summer.

lol, thanks for the heads up IMMORTAL but the problem is with the switch inside the wheel not the actual plastic on the outside:

Yes i took the WHOLE thing apart and managed to have no extra few screws left afterwards :D
I could always resort to Auto but its slower and makes you spin around corners.
 
Wheel drama......

I remember my DFGT's brake pedal ghosting on/off all the time. I tried everything to resolve it, (bungee cords, etc.) Eventually it just stopped ghosting by itself. Been that way along time now. :sly:


Those thrustmaster T500 things probably are better than the G27s...but at the end of the day its the game that makes your experience, not the pricey wheel...... the cheap game. :sly: Force feedback is yours for $89.99 in the DFTG
 
I just spoke to Logitech and they sqy that its still under warranty, if only they saw the pics on this thread. But it'll have to send the faulty one to them 1st then they can send replacement and it'll take 1 - 3 weeks :( what do i do? I was doing 1:35 with a pad at nurburgring. Auto on wheel is way better than pad. Suggestions????
 
Ask them for a 50% off coupon to order a second wheel. Maybe use it on a g27. Then send your dfgt in for repairs and keep it as a back up or sell it. Use it in auto until you get the g27.

Thats a good time on pad, i cant remember when last i used pad though. I cant even do a 1:29 with the stick shifter :(

Call them and get your 50% off coupon man. Tell them the situation and that you can't send it in until after the race series. They will do it. A friend gave me a faulty DFPro. I called it in out of warranty to see if anything could be done and they emailed me the code. I think you can turn this into a positive situation.
 
Immortal, if they decide to kick me from the FGTC I can do this series from time to time maybe.... Dont know if I want to do organized racing right now. I've got too much going on to really take it srsly. :scared:

I think Endless has the best solution so far. That or L2/R2 or L3/R3 (depending on if both upshift and down are shot, can't remember). I'd assign another button for now.

When mine broke it was out of warranty; so no option there. I bought a new one (DFGT) as cheaply/quickly as possible and kept the old one for parts. I'm still using original pedals.

With yours in warranty that is a silly thing to waste. How often do friends come over and want to race? If that happens at all then two wheels would be a good move. Get a new one, or upgrade, and then send the other in for repair/replace. That's a long shot scenario, but I considered it. My bad one "works", but there is no FFB.
 
I just made a discovery that will impact me being in the 4/29 race. I am likely signing up for my first Open Track day at a nearby track. My S4 has been switched over to summer gear and this time there are no more excuses. The event will likely eat up the entire day Sunday, but it's possible since the track is like 6 miles away, that I can make it. It's possible yet highly unlikely that I'll make the race start as currently scheduled. I'm ok if someone wants to sub in for Team Lotus that's fine, although I haven't noticed a lot of reserves creeping around.

I hope you can drive we can wait a bit for you.

I just got back on sorry for being gone so long and illl be racing today. But that me and antz stuff he was stopped in the middle of the track I had no where to go and i got alot of damage also from that crap. Then he interrupts the race repaeatedly and leaves along with others and Im the one on trial if I get a penalty cause of this man im done. I mean damn if you watch th ereplay the whole damn race I was having and issue with my brakes engaging on and off (thank you DFGT) but I didnt cry and quit, I thought if you wanna follow the rules if you quit in the middle of a race that you were done for the season or does that only apply to new guys? And after qualifying well do you really think I wanted to be back there playing grab ass spinning around like a ballerina?
 
I did touch on the randoms in my complaint to the FIA, but there was no mention of it. So its not only me having troubles with DFGT, i have been practicing on the stick shifter and its slightly slower but better than auto. Go Team Lotus.
 
I wouldnt say to much about randoms cause if it wasnt for me and zeeboot there would have only been five people to finish, whew what a world championship..
 
I'm all for "randoms" as long as they're clean. More cars on track is a good thing IMO.

I haven't done any practice yet, but it's looking like I won't make it to the race anyway.
