I'd say we should run heavy damage to stop some of this rear ending/insane late braking/risk taking, but it seems the car in front generally gets all the damage in GT5. I think we'll all enjoy Project cars when its released.

I really advise against this rich because ive been crashed into and spun out more times than i have done to other people! it would be awful having to pit on the first lap because of someone elses mistake! and in regards to back ending, when your in the zone fighting with other drivers for podium your going fast as you can where the slowewr guys are being cautious its really hard to brake in time for them! and risk taking and late breaking are needed to win :) btw did anyone get a reduced frames per second coming out of that last corner? (i think it had something to do with that bloody fountain!) also rich who are you i cant see your psn tag m8 :)

Have you actually tried pCars yet? It's an improvement over but still feels much like Shift. Cars are still very floaty.

Hmm...Yeah I remember playing Shift a couple years back, before I got GT5. I used to drive the Nordshleife all the time in the Zonda R. It was fun but a bit drifty, had great music though.

This developer is going out on a limb to make a realistic game. If they make another Shift with this I'd be worried for their company. They say their drawing in PS/Xbox users with driving aids rather than "floaty" handling.

Hmm...I read a comment on a youtube video, a guy saying the handling is way less realistic in some cars than others. Some cars are depicted horribly, others are better. I almost wish they'd wait 9 months & do a 2014 release for the new gen counsols... Although I'm sure they'll make some progress before Nov.

He has a fondness for a particular condiment...

Oh, what the heck.Watched this tread for all day, and it seems that the team jury is still working.Better get some laps at Grand Valley reverse now....

Had an issue with my laptop, i installed Windows 8 and couldn't find proper drivers for my Graphics card. So i tried to go back to Windows 7, found out that the boot loader is different so i had to back up all my "MOVIES" and other stuff, wipe everything, then install Windows 7, then create another partition then install Windows 8  :banghead: so now i have them running both side by side at last, i don't know why Microsoft change things every new OS. Got tired from just typing that up, now imagine doing it. So race results first, then the the rest of the team and driver info tomorrow.

Yea it's only in beta but the inconsistency between cars is kind of a bad sign. I think they can make something good, but I don't think it'll be the answer people are looking for on the console. Unless GT6 really steps it up, I think PC will still be where you find the most hardcore sims

I'll still be playing GT no matter what though, you really can't beat the variety, the size of the community, and the graphics are a big bonus too. Plus great physics on the right tires

I'm gonna struggle at this track guys. That friggin hairpin always gets me

The hairpin isn't so bad in reverse. I actually think I like it better; not sure yet though.

That first corner will be interesting. Not so many tracks that Turn 1 is a near-flat to flat corner. That will be insane into the chicane depending on who gets that far.

We're up to 12 races now, and no Laguna Seca. Immortal, I think you are reading too much into the low finish rate at Laguna Seca last time out. LS was the S1R1 track, Genesis if you will. I thought that was a solid track for good racing both times. Make it lucky race #13. Really tough challenge for the final race.

Personally, and this is my crabby opinion, SSR5 is worst track in the game based on the shortness of it (boring), only one safe place to pass (the straight), the wall riding that's possible with light damage, and the 2nd turn on the reverse course that results in some kind of pileup every time.

The Nordshleife (and I know that many on here differ greatly, and some hate me so they will automatically take up the opposing viewpoint) has probably 10 times the enjoyment as SSR5 (atleast for me). The length, along with the visuals (the BQ's, the spectators) makes it fun. That along with the lack of barrier impacts when one goes off on turn 1 (where pile ups typically take place) forces dirty drivers to tone it down and maybe just bump the car ahead instead of use them as a brake.

I personally love the Nordschleife, just not for F1 cars. SSR5 on the other hand is one of my favourite tracks in any car, but I do agree on the chicane on the reverse layout, I can't stand it.

Some are addicted to mustard, I'm to the northloop.
IF there would be a chance to race there in F1`s it would be with you guys.

But to be honest, there would be just two chances to overtake:
-Uphill from Ex-Mühle ( tricky )
-Döttinger Höhe straight

In real life ( VLN ) the fastest cars are GT3`s. :sly: Ok, BMW GT3`s.

And even these can overtake normally on the Döttinger Straight. The Rest is politics (Audi :yuck:), pitstrategy and luck.

I already asked immortal if we could have nurb 24hr for season finale ... the answer was no. shame cos i love nurb too!
