Sigh, certain kinds of people will find any reason to try and deface a percieved threat.
yeah, after watching both tribute videos, I have to had the victory to GT5 for several reasons:
1. GT5's video showed ONLY the 458, which was the point of the video...not to brag about all the Ferrari models you have in your game...like Forza did. the first 30 seconds of the Forza video seemed rather pointless..
Your post is
entirely silly for several reasons; Not the least of which is your first point - there is
plenty of merit behind showing previous 'masterpieces' by Ferrari to underline the 458 italia's pedigree (an aspect considered utmost importance by Ferrari), and while it is one of the few parts of the direction Turn 10 went with their video that was on a competitive level with the GT video, it's really not necessarily some kind of 'LOOK AT US, BUY OUR GAME' "tactic" that you try to make it out to be.
2. GT5's music fit the video a lot better than Forza..
An utterly ridiculous remark, especially considering how close the soundtracks are to each to each other musically, and again quite silly to use your subjective tastes in judgement. At least the Turn 10 video showed off the gorgeous sound of the 458 italia, which the lack of in the PD video puzzles me. I'm not saying they had to, but it does help show off the car.
3. GT5 showed the interior...which seemed to be missing from the Forza video..
Seemed to be nothing, you're obviously trying to imply something. It
was missing from the Forza video, and yes IIRC Forza now has full interiors so no you cannot have the satisfaction of getting away with another silly little dig.
PD went in a
different direction to Turn 10, obviously. And although Turn 10's efforts were pretty good PD's really paid off for them judging by reactions.
I personally like theirs too. I mean, no ills meant to Turn 10 by saying this, but PD's video was smashing, and those visuals? astounding. Hard to believe they're in game.
4. And most importantly: it would seem that the car is going to be available in GT5 right off the bat, where as you have to wait until Christmas to play with it in Forza 3. Wow, talk about a teaser.
Most importantly? You're going to spearhead your entire attack on GT's rival with a completely moot point?
The 458 italia may be in GT5 right off the bat, but GT5 looks like it's not even coming out until
after the assumed christmas holiday period, by which time there will already be a Mona Lisa painted 458 on the Forza 3 internet trade thing.
I give the win to GT5 (took the edge for me because of it's jaw dropping visuals and nice editing), but I give the lose to
you.
