Some more testing, oil change and I've done 2:15:949 on SH tires, I'll see how it is going to be online :)
 How can anyone do that?!!!!!!!

I agree with chase. Linking each turn together with the perfect line is so crucial here.

I'll I'll be there for sure. I've not done any lap yet on the combo though. I joined Brandon for some testing instead. Going to open a practice lobby in 5 mn. It'll be public so you guys don't need to add me if you want to join. I'll post room number here.

The room is up. Qualifying will start at 4pm EDT, second race will start around 4:30. Reminder, we'll be doing times races (15 and 30) and false starts.

Great racing today guys, that was enjoyable as always. Intense and clean. I think the timed race and false starts worked great, we'll keep using them.

Congrats to @kHamcio on the double, to all.

That was some great racing yesterday! I had the opportunity to be a praticipant of many good, close and fair battles!

I've started from P1 and made a 2s advantage, but after some time @SagarisGTB was right behind me to the end of the race. He was really fast and aggresive (thats good, of course!), so keeping the lead was a really hard work! :)

Race 2 was very fun too, after some time I was fighting with @KingKlingeling for the P1 :) Trying to clean overtake a fast driver was really hard, but at one corner you've braked a bit to late :P

Great racin guys!

I've added the next car selection to the OP. We're going to take the SP1 on SH to Spa-Francorchamps. It's a good drive around there and very well behaved on it's stock tires. It is a bit pricey so hopefully everyone has enough to to grind if necessary. 👍

B, before buying SP1 I am bit curious, does it actually drive different to the F430? According to the description it is based on that model. I hate grinding money so I'd just like to be sure it is worth it :)

The SP1 is based on the F430 and has the same pp of 540. All the specs are blanked out but I would presume they are the same as the F430. It is expensive @ Cr. 1.5 mil
and as we raced the F430 only recently would it be worth considering another car around Spa. The 599 or the 458 Italia would be nice around there. Soon enough we will have to move into the very expensive cars so ongoing grinding wouldn't be a bad idea!

I think it drives rather differently than the F430, better. I tried both the 458 and 599 around Spa and both were rather scary. As well as watching the finances I'm also trying to ease us into the more unruly cars, the Dino will be a bit of a handful so the SP1 will get us back into something a bit tame.

Also, we have three flavors of the F430 so I have to space them out and since we will have done four cars since the F430 it's time to slot one of the other flavors into the round up. Then we'll do another three or four before going to the F430 Scud, and then we'll be just about done. 👍

Was hoping to get some laps in for the Dino this week but apparently I had to spend an hour and a half downloading the update followed by another update that could only be updated after the original update. Fudgin' spectacular. Also where the hell is the Lotus? All I see is that horrible beamer concept thing?

/rant end.

Should get some laps in tomorrow, anyone given it a go yet? Got some times for a benchmark?

That lotus is part of the senna content which is slated for the 27th of this month. This update came out 3 or 4 days ago. Also not to be disrespectful but I quite enjoy that new BMW. This update also included a new false start system with lights instead of 3...2...1...go. They now also have timed online races.

I like the Bimmer, but on SS not RH. We're also supposedly getting the Formula 3 Ralt RT3 which should be a right hoot. 👍

Edit: Also, I've amended the OP to show that we'll be doing timed races from here on out. 15 minutes for the first race and 30 for the second. We'll also be doing the false starts with the starting lights. I like the lights a lot, quite cheeky. 👍

I'm sure it's an enjoyable thing for many people, not for me though; just a little agitated by my game play time being diminished :P. All these updates sound great, I just wish they'd get around to doing them, ideally in one go rather than big required files to download spread over the month. Anyone put any laps in the Dino then?

I could see your point. And just to annoy you more, they plan on releasing the Volkswagen vgt sometime next week :P. Tbh, I'm just glad we're actually starting to get some content finally.

i'm sure that after this there will be another drought for month or 3. In other news, a quick 10 laps gave me a 1:43 and a headache, this one is a bit unruly.

Looking forward to the combo this week. Unfortunately I'll be out of town all week, so I will miss the Tuesday racing; I'll be there on Saturday though. Won't be able to get much practice in, alas. :nervous:

Off topic, on the topic of updates, it has always been my gut feeling that PD was forced into an early holiday release, and otherwise would have released the game about nowish otherwise. I'm cautiously optimistic :odd: that updates will be slightly more frequent from now on... very cautiously optimistic. :sly:

Yeah, would be useful to learn to like the Red Bull cars. Maybe an online event with the car would help ;)

I definitely hate RedBulls cars. It seems an arcade game when I drive them. But it's much easier to drive than it was on GT5 anyway. And I don't mind to drive it if it's only for 20mn and to win 2.1M ;)

No! NO! NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I refuse to race red bull cars online!!! :banghead:

I've never driven any of them, except the Jr. a couple times the day it was released, in GT5 or GT6, and I don't ever plan to. Luckily, I have all the money I could ever want and don't care about completing the game so I'll never need to drive them. I haven't touched the single player game since January so I don't know any good ways to grind but surely there's a way to earn 1.5mil by next week. Don't some of the Seasonals pay pretty well, especially with login bonus?

On a related note, the Enzo is a prize car for one of the deals (forget which one, and it takes a lot of work to complete) so for those cash-strapped drivers it might be a good idea to get to work on that so you can have the Enzo ready. It's 1mil to buy outright if you don't have the time/desire to earn it as a prize, and it will be several weeks before we race it so there's plenty of time to grind for it (and earn money for other Ferrari's in the process). 👍

Enzo is a prize car
Good call.

International A (All Stars) gives Ferrari Enzo Ferrari '02 - 1,000,000 Cr
International A (Gold) gives Ferrari 430 Scuderia '07 - 302,500 Cr (it's good to have a spare ;))

edit: but all stars... let's see that red bull... :ouch:

but, seriously I have about 6mil game coins. It is not a huge issue yet for me.
