Guys very very sorry I missed the race just barely but I decided not to as I got home at the Q time. I practiced 3 times for this race and was looking forward to it, sorry Stiggy. :banghead:
No worries. Sorry you couldn't make it.

First of all would like to congratulate agro on a great race win and making the 4 stop work :) I'm absolutely gutted at my driving today, couldn't settle down at all after t1 of the race.

Watching the replay back it looks like just a really stupid move and I take full responsibility for it, I had a really good start and was on the inside of agro. I used agro as a reference point to brake and he was already on the limit, I braked a fraction later and aimed for the apex but by that time evo had turned in and we collided. Can't expect anything else I suppose since we don't really have mirrors lol.

The aftermath looks a little bit messy as well, when myself and evo recovered I was side swiped accidently by arty who was stuck in the middle and duffy lost out by the looks of it. Sorry for my part in it though especially to evo, if it's any consolation I definitely suffered afterwards during the race anyway, couldn't focus at all because I was so annoyed with myself :/

Great race, got to apologise to Vector, you hit the wall, slowed down to 125mph or so, I was faster and I saw a gap and went for it, hitting you, sorry mate, initially I thought it was a small tap so I slowed down to wait for you but when I didn't see you appear and I got to the start finish straight, I thought I better just get on with it.

As for the first corner, I didn't see what went on and had the chance to dive in front of Chris and Evo, I don't think they saw me and I got pincered and swiped to the left where I hit Duffy, sorry mate.

I had the pace to pull a surprise today and I'm really disappointed with how qually and the race went :(

Well done to Agro, on to the next one, maybe Evo will get his first win at Silverstone!

No worries mate, I lost maybe 10 second which at the end of the race made no difference, just could not keep tires on the car felt like I was stopping every other lap. It was a small gap you went for and you properly would of made a clean pass if you had not clipped the inside of the corner and bounced across into me, such is life you had to try as you said I had slowed as I scuffed the wall so no problems all good with me.

Good race again had loads of fun, well done to the top drivers! as ever very impressive speed and control.

Thanks for hosting and getting the race started on time Mini Stiggy great job!

In my first few laps of testing at Silverstone, I did a 1:31.5, I tried four very different setups and they clocked similar times, I expect pole position to be in the mid-30s, I will run another Test room tomorrow for an hour, come along if you're around!

I'll give it a go sometime this week and hopefully wont fall asleep in the Sauna again. Or disconnect or freeze in the pits or get rammed or crash off track, etc.

So Lewis Hamilton's 2013 1:29 is out of reach... We'll see. Maybe the Lotus is fast enough, only being 10 secs lap faster than its real life counterpart.

In today's test I just posted a full fuel 1.30.8 with mistakes (fastest sectors 1.30.3) so I reckon mid 29s looks reasonable for pole now... we even speculate that a 28 is possible which would be incredible given that is the kind of speed the full powered Lotus F1 can do... but you know the boys at RTRacing, where there's a will there's a... get out of my wayyyy!

p.s. don't be disheartened, the setup I used for 30.8 is the RT one in the tuning forum with minor tweaks because we're running less power... vote for it if you've not already :D

A late report being the winner but it was once another great race with you all and it was great to see @Gavin Vickers join in the FGTA F1 series. I know you'll be a great addition to the series. We just need to sort out which team you're with;).

I'm very happy with the result. So RTX will continue holding the lead for now :D. I certainly did not have the pure speed to get pole or win with a 5 stop strategy as @RacingLine was setting constant sub 1:12 laps. I started on softs and had a good battle with @DrAug for first stint and pitted a lap later than him at lap 9. Continued to lap 18 to get mediums out of the way.

At this point I was doubting a 4 stop strategy would work if I didn't take care of this medium set. I was losing over half a second a lap or more to Evo each lap. Nervous but Knowing if i managed to lap 30 I could manage just two more stops.

So on lap 30 I went back to softs confident that Evo would need to pit at least 2 more times and use his medium set most likely. I was able to make a total of around 20 seconds not pitting an extra time ,though Evo still managed to gain 9 seconds in the last 9 laps!!

Went into the race not thinking I could win with @Weider setting faster times than me consistently in practice lobbies .
@Rich S Make sure you don't fall asleep in a sauna again. I hear it could be bad for your health :cheers:. Or worse you might miss another race .

30.8 is faster than I've gotten thus far, managed about an hour of tweaking this morning hoping to be able to break 1:30 on empty tank with new tires but have only been full fueling it so far I may not ever see sub 1:30 but will have to try some different things hopefully I dont waste my time..... Is that the same setup from the summer arty? Anyways there seems to be some different settings that work well, I did a lot of tweaking and kept coming up with the same sector times so there does seem some variety. toe out doesn't seem to do jack at Silverstone unlike at Tokyo & Nurburgring. 1:28 seems far fetched at 1:31 your already top speed around several of the turns poor Lotus drives like the Red Bull RB6 or F10 did in GT5 with low top speed super high downforce. GT5 seemed almost a bit more realistic I think PD wanted the 97T to be appealing and having low downforce like the real thing would kinda make it unappealing maybe. Immortal still hated it though.

Evo has put in a 30.4 last I saw with a mistake, he is sure he can clock a 30.1 full fuel and get into the 29s during qualifying... he used a very different setup to my time, and yes the setup I used is the one from the summer, with a couple of tweaks because we're not at full power (e.g. different LSD, brake balance, downforce, and final gear).

Remember, with these you can brake later than the full power and get on the power quicker :)

I did manage to score some solid points for RTR, P2. Although I wasn't pleased with the result, knowing I had the pace to go for the win. I qualified on pole but after a unlucky lock-up from Chris ( At first i thought it was Agro being super optimistic into T1) I got pushed down to P3 at Turn 1, thank god I didn't spin out. However this meant i had to race in dirty air most of my stints. I could have been better at conserving my tires though just like @GT_Vette. This meant I had to do a 5 stop which wasn't ideal. However I hope I can try again this weekend at Silverstone.

Talk about a late race report but still :P
