From my side too :D I may have overreacted a bit yesterday.

@PB: Was fun too I was like a Rabbit running from a Lion. 1 Mistake and you would have passed me.

No you cant :(

Really, I thought it was possible. Well, I'll wait and see if Berty can mend this before I leave the two series. I'll give them a chance. There's been some good racing from time to time. Trial mountain was a cleanish race. Suzuka wasnt too bad. Those races were satisfactory albeit not perfect.

Its not possible apparently, I have been through the first corner shenanigans from every drivers perspective with forward and rear facing views.
2 things were to blame for the incidents, firstly with the draft everyone bunches up and the sheer volume of traffic causes cars 3 or 4 abreast trying to get through. Secondly one car witht he driver braking a fraction too late punches another up the bracket and sends it carreering into the lead cars. Sandman was very unlucky to be on the outside of the corner and got pitted (by accident) by the other victims of the crash. I have asked 2 other stewards to review the incident before any solid decision is made.
I have completed half of my review so far. 1 driver under investigation.
If people cant control their cars at GVS first corner we will swithc to a pace lap which will be a real shame as the start to a formula race is the most exciting bit IMO.

Mustard, I have completed many races in the FGTC (23) and have beeen taken out 3 times. It is much easier to keep a DTM/TC/Road car race clean as the reaction times are massive compared to the FGT's, even the F1's are easier due to very predictive handling.

What do you mean by that? Are you actually trying to say it was my fault.....2 of 6 races I've been knocked off from my quali position into last or near last. I can always expect a good smack from behind first turn regardless of whether it takes me off track or not.

No, I am saying you need to relax bro, if your not enjoying the races there is 0 point in turning up. Thats all.

No enjoyment=Leave.

SM- Your probably right there, I have said I will increase penalties but people do need to let me know problems at the end of race.

What is grand valley SW? Is that a different version of it or the full track? Dont know which one to practice on.

How about we do a practice start of some kind before the race starts, i bet alot of people have no idea when to start braking for the 1st corner. Also would weak slipstream solve anything? I want the FGT series to go on, even if somebody else starts organising it after this season, as theyre great cars and a great challenge to get through a race without mistakes. On another note i just ordered a g27 so should be using that by next sunday!!! Saw it for 180quid on play.com and i just got 500quid from child premium bond things so thought id get myself an early xmas present.

I may be left with no choice, it only takes 1 car to destroy the race for multiple drivers. I will issue a double penalty warning for GVS (the full one  ) and if people dont listen they will receive 20 point penalties and we may have to go to rolling starts which would be PANTS. :(

Smithaz- Weak slipstream may be an option but I dont like changing the settings half way through the season. Nice one for the wheel mate, G27 looks fantastic. Go and vote on the classics for Tyres/starts and damage please!

Rolling start is not a bad idea......we only do 2 laps of qualifying after all. F1 quali is done in 3 sessions & each car gets as many laps as they can manage (sometimes like 30 laps in total.) So that aspect is not the same as F1, since we also have skid recovery & active steering we might as well do rolling single file starts. It does not falsify the race at all. Everyone gets a clean line into the corner with a rolling start.

we dont qualify like that because it takes hours. I like grid starts as you can gain a place or two if your opponent gets a bad start (e.g. trial mountain). ideal for bad qualifyers like myself. If there is no choice we will have to but it would be a shame.

Smithaz- you voted yet bro?

I know the paddles on the G27s are nice. I'll stick with the DFGT b/c I view top of the line game wheels as a waste of money.

As for myself I'm getting a power meter on my bicycle and carbon wheels perhaps. That fetches a few bucks. HED is our local wheel supplier, I'm hoping I can swing a good deal which could save a thousand dollars.

HED designed all the wheels Lance won his Tour TTs on. Apart from when he used Mavic a couple of times. My dream wheels, I want to race again. Haven't raced competitively in 2 years.

Need to work on the old endurance and FTP (funtional threshold power.) I think my power's in the basement right now, lol.

I would have bought a G27 instead of the FFGT (or whatever its called :D), but i need the money for a new car.
How much better is it?

I do believe the only performance gain you get is decent shifter paddles that you can actually hit. The tiny buttons on the DFGT are hard to hit (especially when your trying to gain tenths of a second a lap in a heated time trial battle.)

The DFGT also has problems with its brake pedal (it ghosts). So far my DFGT has lasted close to 100,000 miles of online racing over the last 7 months. I'd say the G27 must be a "lifer" or atleast several years worth of play time.

But bicycle racing is more fun than online racing. :) I need to get back to where its at.

Thats a sweet price SM, go for it as your DFGT is definatley on its way out,.
Personally I would only get an expensive wheel if
a) I didnt actually drive in real life (and wanted to pretend)
b) I was really rich
c) I thought it would make me faster (which it wont)

The paddles on the 27 are awesome and being an F1 fan you will love the LED rev indicator too 👍

@ rich- skate broke his 27 pretty fast

Its all personal preference :)
I used to race karts, and still do occasionally. Just for fun nothing serious or anything and it was sooo fun

Karts are great fun, I always go if people from town are organising something, I am no good in the rain though and have only failed to win twice (one was rain and the other was with the local rally club last and 12th respectivley).
