Tested mediums, they do feel worse but not sure by how much. I struggled at the ring bit with them and think they last about the same as softs. I just hope my compound change shows up this week :)

Gutted SM, I was going to try a public lobby to see if it helped your dc problems. Hope you will be about for monaco after xmas 👍
 
Well, I'm not in such a bad mood now. I'll see if I can keep the pedals cleaned up and working. Do some practice later. Shooting for a Sub 1:46.5 on my quali run.

Mustard- Im looking at a 1.47 if no mistakes (which is unlikely). POn the bright side I should be able to release the entire field to qualify at the same time :D
 
Bret I wont make the race tomorrow. I took an arrow to the knee. That and i'm going to grandma's. If you did not get that first joke Bret.... :D

Good news is, you can race tomorrow as ellis has dropped out 👍

I'm disappointed Ellis, your lucky enough to get one of my tunes and you don't even race....disgraceful :lol:

Just got in from one of the funniest nights, we went to a curry house, and dared a friend to eat the hotest chili they had. He ate the chili paste, sat there crying for a minute or two.....then he started wretching and sprinted off to the toilet to throw his guts up :lol:

Back on subject I'm looking forward to the race, but again tyre wear is going to plague me. I think I have the pace to win (mustard is keeping his cards close to his chest) but it depends how my tyres hold up.
 
My best time is now 1,45,60 is that ok???
But my tyres are in almost all Corners Red is that normell?? i never have had this.
 
Friggin DFGT. Its 8-9 months old, I'll be heading to best buy ASAP tomorrow or Monday for a new one. Some have had that issue out of the box. Mine didn't start doing it until 5 months of use.

I think I'm screwed....brake pedal lasted about 20 laps today before starting to drag again, it got so bad it spun me out on the final turn. Gonna try and hang in for points.

Thinking about getting Battle Field 3 on PS3. How is it? Is it worth it over F1 2011?

Tony - thats a great time, how much fuel did you have when you set it? Also with tyres, I would just see how many laps they last, im hoping to do 3 stops, which is 9 laps for each set of tyres, if you can do that and not crash you should do well :)

Dropping like fly's eh...I fixed my G25 pedals but i have a clutch i dont use much,not in fgt races anyways.The UK shop i get them from only sells logitec replacements.Some suggestions is to open up the pedal box(if u can)and use a special electrical spray (not WD-40)but not everyone has access to this stuff at short notice but u can try.

Pigboy, even if I had an understanding of how the pedals work & had that contact cleaner spray I would never open the thing up right b4 I'm about to return it & get another one for free. My case of defect would be put in great jeopardy. :sly:

I'm gonna have to rough it, I've got the bungy cord back on now. I'm always wasted on Sunday's after being up all night. :( But I'll get me a few cups of coffee & pray it holds out for one more glory day b4 it ends up in the eco-waste disposal at Best Buy. It might be a defective unit, but it's won thousands of races. Had a good run....

I'm banking that ryhs is exaggerating on being able to run a 1 stop race and do 1:48s the whole way. Thats like a 1h 4m finishing time. :crazy: Maybe Turismo Lester could swing that (maybe not).

Mustard is a sly old dog in the championship mate, watch him today he is going for his second taste of victory!

Tony- Those times are great and you are faster than me if that is with a full tank 👍 you obviously know what you are doing (GT500 champ) so ill not bore you about red tyres :sly:

Mustard- Sorry to hear abour your wheel letting you down mate, hopefully you can make it last the race or at least compete to get some points for the drivers table. BF3 and F1 2011 are on my want list along with U3, I have at least one of them for xmas so cant buy anything until the new year.

Spurgey- I dont know what the best strat will be for this one, I think 2/3 maybe and how many crashes people have might be the deciding factor.

I had the same problem, take off the pedals from the inside. Then give it a good clean out, then put the pedals back on. 👍
 
SM- I think he is taking it back so doesnt want to invalidate his warranty.

General announcement

1. Re set routers (where possible)
2. Clear system caches
3. Double penalties still apply to the first lap
4. Be careful on the first corner (or pay the price)
5. No comms during quali or race (respect this when I am qualifying too)
6. Enjoy and dont give up!
 
I have to wake up monday at 3:20am because I have to go to work earlier than normal.
=> I won´t race because I need at least a few hours of sleep.

Testing yesterday was short but I was confident to run consistant. (slow but consistant :D)
 
A few people have pulled out now :(

Just had a quick practice, and i think i have the pace to do an extra stop :D
 
Sakery- Nightmare mate we are 3 down but have 2 reserces chomping at the bit so it should be good. Unlucky having to work so early, what do you do?

Pagey- Sandman will now probably make the race so we should still get 12-14 (accounting for a couple of no shows then adding the reserves)
So far Electric, Ellis and sakery have pulled out but we have the new reserve coming in so should be 14.

There will be big gaps between the cars here, we got a lot of people running wildly different times/strategies with different levels of consistency too.
Last one before our xmas break so lets make it a good one 👍
 
Official practice starts in my lounge at 6pm (about 1 hour 15 mins from this post) and lasts for 45 mins. Qualifying is 25 mins then we have a short break before the race (5 mins). Make sure you can hear my mic and listen out for your name to be called during quali (that means go). You have 1 outlap then 2 hotlaps. After 2nd hotlap retire to the pits and wait to be dismissed back to the loungs 👍
