In that case....practice, go have a cuppa, practice some more, mess with your tranny, practice some more and then do some more practice :D

That is true. I could live without him easily but i think he wouldnt be able to cope without me :D

I joke about it but i worry sometimes that it is true

Ellis I could easiliy cope without you.. Come on PS3 chat you just came off as I went on lol...

My best lap is a 1:53 so far.

Stop watching gay porn and get on ps3 you imbosil
Separation is good Ferg your allover me like a baboon. I need some breathing space. I know it is difficult but im sure after your tears you will pull through :)

Running consistent 1.48's now with a full tank. Tyre wear is ok at this speed and I have my strategy sorted. Tried the mediums today and thought there was a noticable difference (fair warning) looking forward to the race :D
Do we keep double penalties on Lap 1 to discourage the pushing and shoving?

Yeah i think we should, especially for the first corner, the track itself is very wide so there could be 4 people abreast easily. But the corner turns in tight, so if someone is late on the brakes on the inside they could wipe out a fair few people.

I conclude, its negligent to wipe people out trying to grab extra places. we all need to be a bit patient and pick people off when the opportunity presents itself.

Due to 4 incidents that happened at GVS I would like to make a couple of advisory points.
1. If you are about to be lapped try and judge your yield so it fits in with a small/large straight or if you yield on a corner please pull off the racing line before you apply the brakes.
2. If you are about to lap a car you do NOT have the right to shove them out of the way, if they are being deliberatly being obstructive then you must make a mental note and report them after the race.

Anyone got any problems with doiuble penalties on the first lap?

Hi Brett, Sorry can't make the race at Cape Ring we have got company coming round to see us at 19.00gmt....we haven't seen them in a long while....:grumpy:

Because the pack is spread out a bit more after the first half of the lap.

I think from an enforcement point of view it will be much easier to just call the first lap, we need to keep it simple.

Tony Kart- What is your nationality please, for the roster!

I am thinking about trying a public lobby with fixed host soon, apparently this means that if people have a bad connection it wont effect eveyones race, just theirs. To do this we will need to think of a time when we can get a full room, maybe before this sundays race and if it works we can use it in the future.

I don´t like the full CapeRing => I limit my testing.
Although I did "great" last Season here. The Ring without the LOOP is way better and I like this little Track very much.
The LOOP is a annoying Turn to me.
I hope I get in ETID´s range and can fight with him. If not I will do consistant low times and end up as 3rd *whaaaat ???* xDDD
No anything from 7th-9th will lead to major happyness from my side.

The problem is you can tune for the whole track minus the ring or tune for the ring and screw up the rest. I have finally found a solution or a happy medium where can protect my tyres. Should be a good run :D

Yep that was my memory from S1 too.
I think the first-lap-double-penalty thing works fine. GVS first turn: HEAVEN !! All did great (maybe all where concentrated :D).

S1 first turn: Me from 9th to 3rd and there wasn´t a major crash just some stillstanding xDDD

Mustard- Its the way to go, if something is obviously a genuine mistake (as opposed to stupid) I will use my discretion.
Your the mystery man so far Mustard, havent mentioned your laptimes :D

Sak- It gets a bit clogged up sometimes, like the autobahn!!!

You know I hope I'm good for another podium. So far the times mentioned seem do-able for me. I'll go as fast as I can in quali, than try and hold people off from there. Rear tire wear seems to be my Achilles heel.

Has anyone done much testing on medium tyres? I tweaked my setup a bit and got a 1.46.2XX on full tank on softs, and did a low 1.47 on mediums but it wasnt a great lap, so I reckon that theyre just over 0.5 of a second slower. I think the key to the race will just be avoiding those kerbs and not crashing, hoping for a podium :)

My damn brake is dragging again on my DFGT. :( Bungy cord mod makes it worse now, because it got pulled back so much. Gonna figit with it, hopefully it'll hang in there for the rest of the season.

Going a full 35 laps nonstop at Cape Ring is totally different than just running laps. The tire drop off is sickening. Its a damn shame GT5's tires have no life whatsoever. Mediums dont last as long as softs BTW. BTW, Hards last shorter than mediums, so on & so forth. The less the grip the shorter the life in this game. How messed up. I think comfort Hards last about 1 lap, LOL. IRL, my comfort hards on the old road car last years.

The feeling I get about GT5 is the feeling a procrastinating child gets about a big school project that they've had 2 months to work on, yet they wait until the last week to do a month's worth of work. The end result is a cool looking project full of bizarre screw ups. I;m of the opinion that they worked on a 5 year game in about 5 months. Could be wrong, maybe its not that extreme.

I find the mediums last longer on the indicator but lose performance quicker, so softs still give you grip at 50% but mediums dont, but they take longer to get there, its wierd, but I might just not push my tyres too hard and get round, better losing a second a lap then do an extra pistop/get stuck on the last lap of your stint with not tyres at all and lose heaps of time.

Yeah im going to have to limit my pace, if im driving full pace my tyres dont last long at all. I havent tested mediums yet, but for me im expecting them to be around a second slower
