Race Report:

Qualifying was pretty poor only got 1 lap in and it was a 1:12 so starting near the back was annoying but none the less that was where I started.

The race started and I was in 6th for most of the race. I started on mediums as I knew the first 10 laps or so are normally not as clean as there is lots of traffic ect. I pitted on the 13th lap and changed to softs, putting in 15 litres of fuel each time as thats how much you can get away with whilst your tyres are being changed. I put in consistant 1:11s and the occasional 1:10 on laps 13-20 then 1:12s from 20-26. I pitted and put another set of softs and 15 litres in again and set off faster this time putting in consistant 1:10s and the occasional 1:09.

I was wandering if I would catch brett and pagey towards the end as I knew they were doing two-stoppers whereas I was doing a three-stopper. I pitted again on lap 39 and put 7 litres and softs on again and was determined to catch the lead. I took brett on lap 45 whilst he pitted and went flat out for it doing consistant 1:10s to the finish. I was getting closer and closer to pagey every lap and on lap 50 and the second hairpin and ellis had an incident with pagey causing me to take them both and ease to the finish whilst listening to red hot chili peppers. I would of been right behind pagey on the last 6 corners anyway as I had better tyres. Whether I would of done him or not was a different story.

Great race, favourite of the season so far, lots of adrenaline and earey moments.

Nice racing today guys, a few hairy moments with some of you but I guess we are all a bit rusty. Stewards report will be started tomorrrow, 2 complaints recieved.

Well done to the other podium guys too and Pagey did all he could in beating me (required ).
Was nice to get back into these cars after a long lay off and it reminds me why they are my favourite motors in GT5.

I think I could have been up with sandman, just my connection decided it didnt want to work just before the race And whats worse is im competing with SM for 5th in the championship, and with 3 races left my chances arent good Will just have to settle for 6th and see if I can get a win by the end of the season, knowing my luck something will go wrong at daytona too Well done on the win though SM 👍

I wonder if "the glitch" will end after tuesday's update. Regardless, the max field should be 13 probably.

The room was set to a max of "16" today. It should have been set to "10." That way nobody but those entered can get in before the race.

Is it just me or have the race results gone from the OP? I cant see them anymore, and my championship chances are worse than I thought, im 30 points behind SM and 47 behind ETID

Things are looking good for me. I'll take Smithaz as long as I get top 6's in the next races. But Sandman could catch me up so I have to watch out.

Hehe, you ALL need to watch your backs when SM doesnt disconnect. I have removed the results chart until I add the fastest times tomorrow.
Rankings and profiles ipdated (big jump for SM in the WR) 👍 and Mercedes are now unstoppable in the constructors!

Pretty Much a perfect race for me today..
Pole Position, First race win and unless someone got lower than a 1:08.6 a lap record too.

Report.
Good qualification in first set a 1:08.7 and a 1:08.5.
started on mediums and went mental on the first stint to get abit of a lead, first 2 laps were 1:08s.. pitted lap 12 for softs came out 4th, got back to 1st when everyone pitted.

pitted lap 24 softs went for a longer stint ,caught up mustard then he pitted after this i was about 25 seconds clear, had some sloppy laps on poor tyres and the gap reduced to 21 seconds.

on lap 37 i had my last pit, pushed the first 5-10 laps for 1:09s then i overtook mustard after he had poor tyres (i think) he then pitted and i extended the gap to about a 41 seconds so i was pretty clear to just cruise to the finish.

good yielding i thought from everyone from my point of view (not as good for other people i hear )

very happy for my first win. i wonder where i would be if i had no disconnects :/ ..

I did a 1.08 in the race (I think) but doubt it was a low one.

Only a bit from PigBoy which is normal. Runfast reported some screen tear but no significant slow down.

Looking forward to Daytona now, ive got the week off so inbetween driving my new car, and going to portsmouth i will get a fair bit of practice in, thats on top of the practice i had last time round. I got pole by 6 tenths i think, im hoping i can do it again then if all goes well i will take the chequered flag, i need a win!! I haven't won since Rome

I shouldnt have raced at monaco,my heart wanted to but i ignored my body saying it tired,starved,sore!
I kept a good driver from entering(10 limit)and i fell so bad for doing so,immortal,if he watched me must've thought i was paraletic!.My accelorator seems to be sticking but im emailing thesimshop to get the last 1 he has,he replyed on a sunday night which suprized me greatly.
The race had no lag at all for me,the first laps were great following all the drivers being up to a huge standard i believe,well done boys.I continued on crashing into every spun car but they were stopped and i couldnt avoid.Again i spun and rhyf clipped me,i hope it didnt wreck your race as you were close to another car i noticed.Thats it,hope punctuation is OK or im up ther creek without a paddle

PB- Dont worry PB, you have the right to race same as everyone else, you were at the first race we ever had were you not? . I did catch you after your spin but it doesnt matter as you cant help spinning out every now and again (especially when its early in the morning). More coffee next time mate 👍

Rich is quite stong at daytona too, and so is SM so it will be a close one. Was just wondering, during yesterdays race, the first time I reconnected I went to watch the race, and everyone disappeared off the track. And after that it went back into free run for me, so I could go on the track and drive around, but thought Id better get off because something isnt right. But what would have happened if I tried to start the race?

I am glad you didnt, it probably would have caused mayhem. Its weird how connections go funny at random times, all you can do is try the normal stuff. I have heard of people 'opening ports' or something similar but havent got a clue what it is mate
