My fav. series is back! That Indy car was/has been a disaster for me...last place in the pack in every race! Hoping for a podium finish in FGTC to cheer me up.

I hope you recognized it yesterday Brett. I can´t make it to the Race. I have to get up at 3:30 on Monday (not only Monday the whole week -_-) => I need sleep ;)

Bllluurrrggh.

Rich- Didnt see your post before, you should be good for a podium at Monaco. I am off the pace along with a few others.

SLIGHT VIOLENCE WARNING
This is why Dead space is creepy. This is non violent for the game but it freaked me out soooooomuch when I did it

It isn't zombies. it's like mutant things

This is hilarious  Although if it happened to me I would poo a bit

I think sandman has told you right but his timings are ambitious for everyone.
I will put a second on what he said for traffic and pressure :)

Lag should be less an issue than any of the FGTC races ever, due to only 10 in the room.

Not gonna lie...no practice yet. I have to do some sprints on the bike, then I'll get atleast 40 laps in between now and the start of our race. :scared: Pace is always national level Gran Turismo here (within 1.5 sec a lap of whats possible.) :sly:

Almost finished reading " the limit" about Phill Hill & Wolfgang Von Trips. Excellent read, I recommend it to all those modern day arrogant bastards who think racing today is the greatest sport its ever been.

Here's a quote by Sterling Moss a real athlete, (I think): "Safety would take the point out of racing, it would become a sport that anybody could do. Why climb a mountain if there's a net to catch you?"

Hahahaha on San Andreas when a random voice asks CJ what are you made of? He replies " What do you think?!? Pudding?!?" This game is filled with gems

Ahhh sit down after a nice roast to watch Wales get beaten by Ireland ;)

As for tonight im not sure whether i should race, my hand is still quite sore, its hurting to type this. And my elbow is still quite bad but i dont want to miss another race :( i know that if i do i wont be able to get the championship and i will probably lose second place

These things are true, you have to brave it out mate!
Bloody yellow card for us in the rugby, cant see us winning now :(

Woop woop, we did it! Happy days :D

Remember to clear cache/re set routers/change oil before tonights race. Room will open up just after 6, we have at least one free spot if anyone who didnt make the final 10 wants to race 👍

Race report:

First of all sorry to ryhs whom I hit off on lap 29 going into the chicane. I blanked out I guess when drafting.

With no real practice I almost over slept the race out of tiredom from riding yesterday. I woke up and jumped straight into my quali run. I eased into the race and upped my pace, getting up behind sandman but steadily lost about half second a lap to him which was exasperated in the last 2 laps when I got tired from lack of coffee (no time to have any). I felt my strategy was pretty solid (strategy on the fly). Usually in GT5 its safe to do many pitstops due to "fast cooking, microwave" style tires.

Race report:

This is my least favourite track on the calendar so i didnt expect much.
Qualified 3rd which i was surprised about, but spurgy disconnected so i started 2nd.

Sandman dissapeared infront which i fully expected, and i presume there was the usual trading of paint in the mid pack as i had a comfortable gap back to 3rd. I pitted too late on really worn tyres, lap 12 i think.
Came back out and mustard had got me in the pits and pulled away, which again i expected. So i was aiming for 3rd.
I had now worked out brett was on a 2 stopper and that my race was with him again :D so i concentrated on getting some good laps in but not to go mental and ruin the tyres.
i pitted again for mediums and was on my own pretty much, towards the end of the stint i caught brett as he was on very worn tyres.
I think on my last pit stop i came out behind etid and brett battling for 3rd, so i knew i had to pass to get 3rd. Etid pitted so i went after brett.
I got him on the long left hander but he pitted not long after.
So i thought i had 3rd pretty much in the bag......yeah right.
I had really bad tyres and on the last lap i had ellis right on the back of me, it wasnt for position. I knew i just had to go round without any mistakes and i was there.
But in the tight S bends i got pitted once, and then again the corner after, an absolute joke. I was sideways across the track end etid got through.
I almost lost 4th place as well as brett came very close to getting me.

Congrats sandman, unbeatable! And well done Etid on your podium, made the most of the incident on the last lap
