Yey my tvr idea worked :D swear i come up with some BRILLIANT ideas :D

After qualifying the next time you race you will lose 1 grid position.
Basically its a less harsh alternative to taking points, in your case you waited for SM after hitting him off the track :)

I was watching replay yesterday & I lmao:)
Started race almost last, so I got up to 6th on lap 2, I was gaining a little then spun:(
So now I've lost a couple pos, then I kept finding the same driver everytime I spun!
So this driver is laggy and I tried to get past him w o contact or a crash. Wait for it wait for it. So I shoot by him & running fast again:) Repeat 3 times lol:)

Bf3 is cool man!
Peace

RF- Your race was not great mate but Spa now beckons so we can concentrate on that. LS is always a funny one, its tight and hard to overtake like Monaco but without the barriers to keep you in the race. I think the server was full this weekend because of the high amount of connection problems but we must persevere I guess.

Ellis- I hope so, I have no idea how good/bad I am compared to you lot yet but will find out later if the missus goes to netball 👍

Audio- I have heard people mention that you float about on them, I think this is because every 2nd stripe is a bump so you lose major traction as your springs and dampers try and find a surface and fail.

Couldn't say I've experienced floating so to speak, it's hard to tell at 221mph ;)

But the shortcut penalty for the Eau Rouge corner is harsh. Very harsh.

dont worry about it im sure the stewards wont be as harsh as gt5 👍 (i hope)

I have no idea what the penalty is like but I can spell it out for my fellow FGTC racers.
2 wheels have to be on the track at all times, the track is the tarmac road and the kerbs. Failure to do so may lead to severe penalties!!!
:D

According to gt the kurb isnt the track. Infact one wheel further than the kurb is a penalty i think

Hey Guys,

I've come to the conclusion that I wont be able to race if the rooms will be full or close to full. over the last couple weeks i've noticed that whenever i'm in full rooms, my car gets slower - and this is a noticable difference. you could compare it to the difference of running on mediums versus softs.
I dont think there is anything that can be done to remedy this in a full room , and i've discussed it with pigboy and we have both noticed this effect happen sometimes.
I think this stems from the fact that we are using one of the fastest cars, and are at full capacity.
if anyone would like to see what i am talking about, try joining a room full of X1 racers - the network code in the game just cant keep up.

The only idea i have to negate this would be to limit the amount of spots in the race.
Example: 10 spots in the race, 3 reserved for previous race podium finishers (regardless of quali time, although their time would still dictate their grid position), with the remaining 7 spots up for grabs by people during quali.
This could make things interesting since it would increase the importance of performing well during quali. I believe it would also make the quality of the race better with less connections.

Anyways, just wanted to put it out there for people to comment on and see what kind of reaction everyone has to it.

Ellis/Audio- Ok, we race with penalties off anyway so as long as you all hang on to some part of the track as I have described it you will be ok 👍

Neth- This is a crappy situation. I could limit the number of competitors to 14 as we stand by putting Smart Heart and Musolino in the same team. This would still leave us with 4 reserves of which 2 are likely to turn up every week. As we stand it looks like an average of 14 people try and race with 12-13 finishers. I cant tell anyone they cant race however. Maybe limit the reserves to 2/3 and the regulars to 14, its the best I could do but I dont think this would stop your issues
:(

14 is still too many IMHO.
i know that i wont be able to race if its any more than 12 people, and even at 12 im not certain about whether the effect will take place

i'd rather have a good quality race with everyone having smooth connections than packing the room and playing the numbers.
but that's my 2 cents.
i know that if there isnt anything done, i'll have to withdraw as i just cant compete with the technical details impeding me.

Neth- I really want you to stay mate but I cant remove people for no reason. All I could do is cap it as it is now and see what happens, try Spa and see if it is any better last shot.

Not saying to remove people at all - everyone can still qualify - just those who get the top 7 times + 3 previous podiums would race.
You could limit participation to 2 cars from each team (max) , but still allow reserves to qualify

I think if we were going to do that neth we would need a secondary room. Otherwise its really unfair on the slower drivers, we cant just tell them they cant race because they didnt get a good time in quali, plus if someone made a mistake and cocks up their laps which happens to the best of us, and they are then told they cant race? They are gonna be pissed, i would be

This is what worries me. Originally I was thinking of a qualifying session but if we had done that fopr Laguna then Runfast wouldnt have been able to compete in the race as he came off during quali. His times in the practice race were equal to the lap record.

On a side note, my friend TomMcD is looking for european drivers to join his indycar series, it has 16 drivers in the US side and I think about 8 in the UK one.
Racing is Wednesday nights so wont clash with the FGTC.

Check it out.

Neth, did you think about running a secondary series? What about your top 5 and my top 5 meet for a battle on a friday night? Excactly the same calendar and settings but everything else up to you? You could copy the FGTC format? I am trying to find a way where I can still race you. Maybe call it FGTC2 or something.
I would be well up for supporting you and sending drivers your way etc.
