Ok, few points.
Low 1.40's is excellent and faster than me (although I havent finished tuning). I am getting 1.41.xxx on good laps. Top speed wise you are again faster than me by some 3mph so your doing great. I am aiming for 3rd from what I have seen and heard so far.

Everyone- Chicanes etc. are going to be policed in quali and after by stewards so do not be tempted to cut OR run wide. It will ruin your race!
 
i dont actually hit 240, probly more like 237 like u say, was talking gearbox-wise. I hope to not make too many mistakes during the race, i have problems with concentration after about 20 laps, i start having periods where i cant seem to get into the flow.

Actually its nowhere near 237, i get to somewhere in the 220's.
Also i just got 1.39.932 and can definately take another couple of tenths off but cba anymore tonight

I meant 227 as well, (its been a long day lol) 1.39 I think is about what Pagey can do so you guys are lighting, should be a good race tomorrow :)

On a side note, I drove 28 of blokes on a stag do to birmingham today. 1st event was a rally stage in off road buggies and they offered me a free drive (little did they know haha). Needless to say I promptly beat the lot of them and am the proud owner of a (fake) gold medal 👍 thank you GT5, for teaching me how to left foot brake!!

Not good mate, its a beaut of a track :(

On the bright side I have improved my tune and can put in a 1.40.719 now. Getting there just need a little tweek to protect my tyres a bit more and I am there.
Cant wait to take you all on again!
 
No drafts yet sakery,in the race.1:40.1 here,was goin faster on 1 lap but did big tankslappers out of the last corner.My room quality was pretty high too last race,i must change it...it teaches you alot this game Rhyf,that can help you in real life situations.this game with a steering wheel could teach alot of kids how to control a car and what will happen if you dont (crash) if i had kids they wouyld learn on this game and wheel/gearbox
 
Am doin a wet trial run ,35% water is so much fun,huge slides,8/14/5 diff i like alot.If its going to be a wet race when will we find out?
 
I'm new to these races.... (I know about qualifying release) A couple questions:

1.) Will there be a formation lap? Or do we just start like a normal GT5 race, right away?

2.) What is the rule on that long left hander (the double gauche pouhon)??? Must one stay within the kerb bounds or can we run wide? Its very common for the car to float wide through there. Also whats the general corner cutting count for a penalty? 3 cuts (4 wheels over, which I believe is in real F1).
 
PB- I believe GT5 helped me improve my left foot braking, I tried it before in a (amateur) rally car and sort of got used to it but that was nearly 10 years ago. In the rally buggies it came naturally as I LFB in all races online :D
Definatley set your room to low quality and chat to medium just in case it helps, I do.

Rich- No formation lap, after the room is re set after quali we form up at the first corner in grid order.
Cutting= You may not race outside the track at any time, the track is defined by the tarmac section and the kerbs. You must have at least 2 wheels on the track at all times. Stewards will allow for mistakes up to a certain undisclosed number, we dont say how many in order to encourage people not to use it to gain time.

Yer erm sebastian vettel blew up, lewis hamilton raced with no incidents, HRT got a one two with karthieyan winning his home race from qualifying in 24th. Magical. Oh and the BBC presenter eddie jordan dressed well.

All of the above is true i swear :sly:
 
Last minute change of plans Rhy, i can make the race tonight, although ive done 10 laps, and no idea what mediums are like here, how long tires last etc so i doubt i will do well
But is there still space for me?
 
I was prepareing myself for the race tonight and then I realised the clocks went back by 1 hour, damn! Oh well, an hour more practice for me. :D

Shame you can't make it AudioSpark, make sure you can make the next race.

Can't wait to see Rich take on the lads, he looked great in practice, should be interesting.
 
No spoilers x2 please, I have been at work all day :( really tired so aiming for 3rd tonight.

Rich S- as long as you can hear my mic you will be fine.

Audio- Shame you cant race mate but keep coming to practice and enjoy those noodles :)

Etid- You should win with all that practice, I only got my tune right last night so no idea how I will go.

Pagey- Great news mate see you on track 👍

i often get start times wrong,in AUS we are gmt +11 now ,it confuses me at the best of times,can warm up with some nascar on the TV just starting,learn some pay back technique's?

By the Way we won !! 77:65 and we where down with 20 pointz at the end of 2. Quarter wuha !!!
 
That was a long race, 2 stops.....worked my butt off after receiving engine damage in the first corner first lap. Surprised that happend seeing as how I qualified on Pole. I definitely didnt brake early, I braked later than I wanted to. I think I set my fastest lap on mediums. So their maybe faster? LOL

Rich- Good race, you always get a few incidents, I know I did. Your on for best rookie this season 👍

Race report:
Firstly congrats to Smithaz on the debut win :)
I didnt have a good race, my pace had completely gone, earlier this week i was averaging low 1.40s, today it was mid 1.41s
So i qualifyed in 9th, but i got an awesome start and was in first by the end of the first lap. I was driving my socks off but i put it in the gravel, and was in 4th. from which i pitted on lap 11. I came out in clear air and it was a pretty boring race from there on, no battles to mention, just by myself pretty much. Just one lap after the next, pitted, came out, by myself, after another 10 laps, pitted and was by myself again.
But i could sniff 5th place and pushed and managed to get it.
And i finished 1 minute and 20 seconds behind, bit of a step down from my win last week
