Yeah but that was when we were allowed to cut the corners, quite a lot on the second chicane. We have to keep at least 2 wheels on the track now

Skate- Exactly as sakery aid mate, you have come on so much we just want to see you get better. I am sure you will now you have your wheel back 👍

Pagey- I am not sure mate, maybe 1.18 or something, you are right of course no one can cut or risk being penalised or disqualified. Dont worry, due to the rule change General Lee's lap record will be replaced by this seasons fastest.

Ill be online at 930ish if anyone wants a practice session, ill invite whoever is online :)

Ive decided to mail my g27 to logitech just so i can get it replaced. So that ill have perfect wheel instead of mine with a broken clamp. As i do most of my racing on my pc i cant drill a hole through my glass desk to mount it.

True, and for people wondering what a good lap is I reckon low 17's is cool without cheating. If anyone is unclear about the rules with the track join me for Friday practice an I can show you. I dont want to have to disqualify anyone for cutting on sunday.

I suppose were only concerned about the first two chicanes. The final chicane cant be cut unless you burry yourself in the sand. :sly:

Basically the 2 wheels on track (inc. kerbs) applies. On a few of the apex's there is no kerb so we are using the green tarmac. I suggest people try and join me on Friday just to clarify.

The final chicane can be cut on the first bend inside a bit (due to the Green thing inside the curb/kerb) but that doesn´t give you much of a time benefit (at least for me).

And the other chicanes: We trust in your Sportsmanship ;)
Espacially the 2nd chicane will be watched.

During quali 2 stewards will be parked watching the cut points and if cars take too much out of the corner that lap is invalidated.
Good practice last night fellas, even if we didnt take it too seriously :)

Its up for discussion Rich, please give us your opinion. At the moment I am thinking full power, sports hard, no SRF, no ASM. Bear in mind I have no experience of oval racing and in real life I have watched under 1 minute of oval racing on TV :)

Oh then i will get you then :D

:D Bring it on Susan !!!

( I retain the right to edit this post if I do indeed lose) haha!

I change my mind on laptimes at Monza. I think on your own 1.18's and with a draft 1.17's let me know what you are all getting.

I dont believe you. :sly:

I'm still not all for gearing restrictions...but the comfort hards do help space the corners out a bit. Drafting in this game is a big powerful on "strong". I would want to go with "weak draft". Especially for an oval where it seems anything is possible down a long straight. The draft in GT5 is "off". I wont say its too strong but it lacks certain dynamics.

Are you planning on running a safety car for this? There's going to be wrecks big time. :sly:

Rich- Lol, great video 👍 its true, I have never even watched an oval race or been in one (unless you count dirty nascar and a spec).
Bearing in mind it is supposed to be a fun race we may have to sacrifice some of the 'reality' aspects but thanks for your suggestions.

SM-Rolling start is knackered in the game I think, you have to pause and un pause x2 before you can get going. This would be the way to go otherwise.
No safetycar but feel free to play our favourite clip :D

Skate- Sounds like fighting talk........

Are we on indy or daytona, if its indy were fine (i think).. but daytona were phucked lol.. arrrrrr bootin jensinbootin!

:D
Runfast picked Indy so thats what it is. So a rolling start is ok there?
Nice one.

Undriveable, undriveable!

Sorry I couldn't make the race guys, I was round my uncles and the nice food and drink got the better of me. I will defo be racing this Sunday. Bring on Monza!

Thats cool, it puts a bit more air between the shining knights of Mercedes and the slimy bogies of team Lotus :D

Everyone- I am driving the safety car tonight for the Indycar series. So dont join me please. I should be done about 10 👍
