@Nielsen: You're the first person I've seen who finds it underwhelming, but it's all good. I respect your opinion.

I haven't gotten far enough yet to see for myself, but is the credit payout Hot Wheels Goliath similar to the main game's Goliath? If so, that would be a great alternative for money grinding.

As I recall, it took less than 7 minutes and paid about half as well as the regular Goliath.

Well I got to play the intro race to the festival and got the four free HW cars and then life got in the way again.

VXR
Can you not bring up the checkout menu and remove the tyre option manually?
I tired it. There is no basket and no option for the checkout menu when using presets.

The fact that some people finished the expansion within 24 hours and are already bored just shows that T10 and PG can just never satisfy some of their players.
Haha I fall into half of that boat. I finished it but I am not even close to being bored! ;)

My Twin Mill goes great. I made it 4WD & it now stays glued to the Hot Wheels roads. I also set the differential to 50/50 & unlike before it has better traction when taking off from a standstill.

I also unlocked the Goliath race last night. I still have a way to go before I even get all the medals. So far I unlocked the Bone Shaker & the Twin Mill.

Welp, Still won't be able to play for a while. The Patch Download as yet again failed and restarted from the beginning. Bad Enough it takes the better part of a day to get half way on my slow AF connection, Just to fail and start over.

Just finished the Goliath event and also got the Lap time achievement at the same time. Tried doing this with Simulation damage.... big mistake. All the jumps and air time, will severely mess up the car entirely making it very difficult to get it under 6:30. After a few restarts and practice I got a time around 6:18ish (This is with some minor mistakes on the track). Now, going to finish all the races and championships.

I noticed while in my Veneno that if you're going fast enough, the boost pads will a no affect on the car.

Same; I've done pretty much everything except the Championships and I wouldn't say that I'm bored of the Expansion.

That being said, it does seem to be much shorter than Blizzard Mountain. I spent 5 hours in Co-Op with a friend yesterday and we unlocked the Goliath Finale. I'm not expecting some 50 hour epic adventure here (and I tend to complete games very quickly anyway) but I can see why some people have all the Achievements within 24 hours compared to the 4-5 days that Blizzard Mountain took me.

Since this expansion is the most unusual thing Forza has ever done, I can see why some of those players who already completed it are left bored. People who bitch about every single car pack are the ones impossible to satisfy.

For those who don't speak Corporate, "noticed too late to fix before release" translates to "noticed after release when users pointed it out"

Good that they're on it, in any case.

This DLC has been amazing, I'm surprised by the real lack of speed though, I was expecting to be going over 300mph and some crazyness, odd it seems the fastest I've hit is around 250mph.

Not sure if it's a bug or not, but the Arctic Truck Hilux appears to have adjustable ride height, but you cannot actually adjust it. It's stuck at the lowest height. :grumpy:

The guitar rift horn sounds so much like when you're doing tricks in the original Stunt Track Driver

If it weren't for finals I would not be sharing because holy crap this is a dream come true  I already finished the entirety and I just need the championships to do, but I don't wanna stop using the Twin Mill because it's stupid amounts of fun.

Hopefully the Pacer X is fixed as well.

Isn't the Pacer a V8? Or am I confusing it with the Gremlin. Or at least it did have a V8 as an option. Hopefully they fix the Jeep too. The Wrangler has had a V8 sound since release. The Titan and Hummer are also wrong.

Pacer X had an I6, the Gremlin X had a V8. 👍
Granted the Pacer came with a 5.0L 304C.I. V8 option, but the in-game version has a straight-6 in the engine bay.

There were V8 Pacers, but later in the production run than the Horizon car.

The Pacer X came with a straight 6. If you open the hood, that's what's in it. The AMC 304 V8 was an option.

I must have missed the Pacer. Had to find one at the Auction house :D Just checked the engine and it does have an L6. That's a big L6, I must say. More than 4 liters.

There's a very easy way to tell if a Pacer is capable of having the V8 option. 1978-80 models had a redesigned front end to allow it to fit.
The Pacer X was discontinued after 1977, the year of the ingame car, hence all were sixes.

The S2 cars are a bit too much for the tracks I think... So much so, I felt dizzy after a few minutes and had to take a break...

I have trouble getting the 3rd medal on some of those higher class races. The ones where you need a bunch of skill points and the win, I hardly bank any skill points because I lose them when I hit the sides of the track.

The ones I don't like doing the most are the Drifting/Power-sliding ones. Most of the times, you have to go out of your way to do these drifts; which leads to wider driving lines and also spin outs if you are not careful.

I find those the easiest, I can usually get several in one turn alternating between normal drift and tapping the emergency brake for e drifts.

The blue sections of tracks are the funkiest, there's that one that gets really narrow and it splits off in different directions. In really fast cars, I feel like a pinball going through there. :)

Sometimes, a derpy AI will just crash into you which leads to chaos and calamity on the track and just ruin your race.
