On what platform will you play FH3?

I hit alt tab and it went away. but so weird :\

I think I get these sorts of glitches. Like for a split second half the screen becomes black, then back to normal. Or when I drive near an event, the on-screen name spazzes out for a split second then returns to normal.

Stupid question how do we export photo images from the game to PC?
Do they save in a folder what gives?
Photomode reduces the resolution of photos and makes them blurry so you're better off pulling up the Guide menu (Win+G I think, I use a controller so I'm not 100% on the k/b shortcut) and hitting the screenshot button there. That way you're getting a screenshot with no drop in IQ and no Forza watermark.

The Xbox app saves screenshots into userprofile/videos/captures:

So finally after having my 1070 card for about a week I set up two custom resolutions for my HDTV. While it is only a 1080p model discovered it will accept a 4K 60Hz signal.

Ultrawide 21:9 Gaming on HDTV
Game does look very good in this aspect especially cockpit view and bonnet cam giving the benefits of the wider aspect ratio. Once a custom resolution is set within the Nvidia control panel it seems to be available within the game video resolutions. A basic sample below with exterior view oh and btw I get approx 38" 21:9 screen size from my 40" 16:9 display so bigger than many 21:9 gaming monitors. Those of you with even bigger screens will of course be able to enjoy 21:9 even more.

* Go into HUD settings within game to re-position the map and speedometer

They also have lower pixel counts so did find on my system the 3840x1620 played a bit better with maintaining all visual settings to max.

Above is standard 16:9

21:9
Custom Resolution 1
1920 x 810

Custom Resolution 2
3840 x 1620

ok, so i have upgraded from my previous 2gb gtx 770 to 4gb amd r9 380x, actually i cold not play game with gtx 770, in surfers paradise, with everything off (even from driver settings), everything at lowest i had about 15-20 fps, but when i changed camera to see car, or dashboard fps was dropping to 10fps, now with r9 380x with this settings

i have in surfers paradise 40+ at all time, outside of town 60+ 90% time :)

New Nvidia drivers did nothing for me either. Same stutters in races in central Surfer's Paradise which arrived with the FH3 patch.

If stutters are caused by a CPU core maxing out, a new GPU driver won't help, we'll need another FH3 patch to get rid of that. It looks like the only way to keep the stutters away is to keep your FPS low (so the game has no trouble in keeping up with the encryption/decryption). Higher FPS -> CPU core gets maxed -> rest of cores and GPU need to wait for it to be done = stutter. I think it's a hard thing to fix too.

In my case I'm running taskman on the second screen permanently to check on performance, no cores maxing out. As I said, the new FH3 patch is giving stutters where before the patch (same graphics settings) I was getting none.

What I don't understand is, and excuse my ignorance but how does a patch make things worse? I also have more stutters than I did before..

To those of you who play on 980Ti, is it possible to play the game on 4k at 60fps? I do not have a 4k monitor to test it out, and to play on a 4K TV, maximum FPS is 30 only.

Saw certain videos on Youtube showing a 4K 60fps gameplay on 980Ti, but they did not tell what settings were used.

I would say the 980TI and 1070 both will fall a bit short of fully enjoying this @ 4K 60fps because it requires reducing graphical detail. The 21:9 option will reduce the pixels to perhaps help the frame rate although some people may prefer to do 1080p upscaled on a 4KTV with max detail and good 60 fps most of the time than running the higher res with reduced settings. Basically 60 framerate and the game looking its best may appeal to more than 4K native with reduced settings and more dips below 60. Of course 4k max detail and 30 fps is gorgeous and still playable although some complain of input lag.

Would however also really like to hear from people that have a 980ti 1070 or 1080 cards and can relate to 1080p upscaled compared to 4K native on a nice big 4K TV.

Interesting, does this mean this could be alleviated by lowering certain graphics settings like resolution, texture sizes and/or AA? It certainly explains why I get stutters a lot quicker on my laptop (only 2GB of VRAM). Or wouldn't it matter, because it always splits usage across VRAM and regular RAM?

Ok so before the patch I wouldn't really ever crash. Maybe the game would get hung up on a save screen once every 6 hours or so but no regular crashes. Starting yesterday I have been crashing all freaking day. The game has been randomly just killing itself and going back to desktop, no crash report, nothing. I haven't been able to finish one Online Adventure because sometimes the game crashes in the middle of the last race, sometimes it crashes while I'm finding a server :grumpy:. Anyone else have this problem? It's getting on my nerves.

Ive had two crashes at random both just lock ups since the update but this during several hours play (single player).

Definitely. Keeping a 30fps lock will eliminate any stuttering. It took me a while to get used to it, but it does work. My PC has a high-end CPU and it still can't keep up with this game when playing in Surfer's Paradise even after the patch. I am highly considering upgrading my GTX970, as I've noticed to my surprise that my i5 is bottlenecking it a bit.

So I figured out what has been causing me to crash so much lately.

It was crashing often because I was running the Win10 Pandora App in the background. No really.

So I've bought a Gainward GLH 1080 and replaced my 970 with it. What a difference, with the new nvidia drivers and my new card, everything is smooth on max settings@1080p. No stutter but I need to check the difference place with the fps monitor on since I only enjoyed the game yesterday without doing strict test. I got a 4790k@4.4ghz and 16gb ddr3 1666mhz.

Im gonna take a break from FH3, Texture Loss is happening so frequent and it doesn't go away, need to restart FH3, more stutter, and micro stutter. :(

Huh. The game really is a gamble, isn't it?

Since the patch, I've managed to run at ultra settings - except for shadows on high and motion blur off - without too much trouble. Occasional frame rate drops still happen, but they're usually getting less frequent after playing for a couple minutes. Had a few crashes here and there, exclusively while upgrading cars.

Granted, I also disabled a lot of Windows data gathering stuff - the crap they call "diagnostic" when they really mean spyware. Dunno if that actually helped, though. Might just be coincidence, of course.

Its a shame ... i've stopped playing until next patch drops.
Having seen how awesome this game CAN play and look .... i'm loathed to put the settings SO far down to make it 100% 60+ fps when i know i should be able to play ULTRA

When i OC my GPU, its fine, most of the time i forget to boot up PrecisionX, but when i do i get a 10-15FPS increase, and it helps a bit. But still a ton of micro stutter, crashing, etc.

Double-post, but I have an issue: I can't enter any Online session. It keeps searching for one but it's taking a long time. Plus when I select a custom session it instantly quits the queue..
