The competition in GB is very hard. You are lucky when you don't live in GB, Spain or France when it comes to GT Sport live events.

Next year we're probably going to hear some 'Irish' competitors with some very English sounding accents
Oh don't worry, we have brexit to look forward to next year!Next year we're probably going to hear some 'Irish' competitors with some very English sounding accents
Asia/Oceania special page is up (only in Japanese)

Interesting how a resident of a European country (that isn't even listed in the Star Player system) is allowed to compete for Australia. Guess we'll be seeing a lot of European accounts created in smaller countries to circumnavigate the EMEA country limit for Nations next year!
Also the 10th Japanese driver to compete at the event was only the 27th best from Japan in the Final Season. That seems like a suspiciously high number of dropouts, I know in Japan taking time off work is almost a sin but that's a bit extreme
I know that Nik_Makozi recently returned to Australia, but thought it might be too little too late. But it appears that he regained eligibility just in the nick of time, and I am happy that he's getting the chance because he clearly deserves it on his pace. #1 superfan @K32 will be even more thrilled. However, I think this only worked because he had dual citizenship the entire time, so I don't expect this to become an exploit in future championships.Interesting how a resident of a European country (that isn't even listed in the Star Player system) is allowed to compete for Australia.
I had a feeling that this was exactly how they were going to split up the 30 player field. It gives each block a unique identity, ensures that Australia get at least 2 spots at the World Final, and PD will only have to set up 10 rigs at the event. The only thing I didn't get right was how the repecharge would work.I was actually looking forward to mixing it up with other countries but it looks like we have to beat each other up first
I don't understand it either, but if I had to take a guess, Tokyo isn't that big a deal for the Japanese players. Kerokkuma for example went to World Tour Austria, but chose to skip this one. Notably, 5 of the top 7 Japanese have elected to compete, but only 5 of the next 20 will join them. Perhaps the lower ranks felt that it wasn't worth stepping forward as their chances of making the Worlds weren't looking good. Also the 10th Japanese driver to compete at the event was only the 27th best from Japan in the Final Season. Maybe the Japanese had to choose between going to the Manufacturer's final or the Nations regional final. The terms for brazilian players says that.
I don't really know, I just know of the brazilian:I've not heard of this, is it Brazil specifically or some other countries too?

At least there's the Manufacturers Exhibition if you do get knocked out of the main event early.

The final possible factor for me is that several of the top Japanese players focused more on the Manufacturers Series, as it theoretically offered the path of least resistance to make the World Final, and it's much more likely that said World Final will actually offer them an overseas trip. To be fair, even Austria saw the 2nd (Jun Jen) and 4th (Minamiya) ranked players from season 2 decline, but I don't expect the drop rate to be as severe come World Final time.
Just to clarify, I won't be as the Asia/Oceana finals as I'm in Argentina ahead of the World Superbike round there, so (as I understand it) it will be Jimmy and Chris on English commentary. My schedule this year has been a bit mad, but hopefully I'll be able to make at least one more before the year is out!
Thanks for the info! It's a real shame we won't be seeing you there though, your commentary in Salzburg was top class. 👍
Latency problem is due to very crappy Australian internetWhy you from Aussies go there, make some noise to PD to solve the latency problem.
At least on par with us from Malaysia / Singapore at 4 bars.

Nissan's GT Sport Cup is now in session. It's a live event that we may have overlooked with all of the hype surrounding these upcoming regionals...
The Monza races were great. I expected much more chaos. Good to see @Zkippe back in action as well.
Overall, if it weren’t for the stream to die during the final race I would have considered this event to be nearly on par with the GT world tour. The races were great.
Congratulations to Fuvaros.
@TRL LIGHTNING Are you going to Japan anyway seeing that you were the best Nissan driver in the final season?
